The hotel was fine without being *very* nice. I didn't expect very much however. Almost everything was in order - problems: there didn't seem to be a remote for the TV so I couldn't get it to work, there was no hot water when I tried to shower in the morning, it was very noisy due to the traffic outside the window, and I got a few mosquito bites one night, but I didn't even try to complain about any of these things. Not fantastic but adequate overall.

There was no hot water during my stay (2 days), so I left this hotel very disappointed!

You can't ask for much when the prize is as low as it was, but an alright bed instead of the sagging old bed that I got would have been nice. It would also have improved the comfort if you did not need to squeeze yourself into the toilet area when you need to go. Finally, a couple of lit light bulbs and vacuum-cleaning session would have improved the walk to and from your room.

The hotel was located in a area near the public metro, this and the cheep price were the best things that the hotel had. The rooms were to small and the bathroom was small too. When yuo take a shower the water flows in the room and it's very disapointing

There was some traffic noice at night which disturbed me before I got used to it, so I suppose it was not that bad. Unless one desperately needs to stay in central Milan, I would say That Hotel Del Sud is a priceworthy and highly recommendable hotel.

Excellent value for money. There was a small elevator (left). Room had phone & TV with CNN. Staff was most helpful despite language barrier. I had very early AM departure. Staff provided wake-up call and taxi reservations. A member of staff escorted me outside to taxi at 6AM. Bathroom was small but serviceable. Map indicated Lodi as closest subway station but Brenta was closer. Very convenient. I preferred this hotel to the very expensive one closer to Duomo that my friends stayed at.

Hotel is small but it's nice for a short stay . Rooms are not so large but comfortable. Rooms in front of the street are noisy at night for traffic.Price is very good. Milan is a very expensive city but this hotel represent a good value for money there.Enjoy your stay.

Collegato molto bene con la metropolitana e vicino al centro. Prezzo ottimo, qualità più che sufficiente: molto conveniente per chi vuol spendere poco. Molto rumorose le stanze che danno sulla strada principale.

Even though it is a one star hotel, the standard of the hotel is very poor especially given the price (€59 for one night)!

I think that for Milano is quite good, knowing the madness of prices you can find the hotels. It is located one minute from a Metro Station. For short stays is ok.

The hotel was fine for a short stay (one or two nights) for a leisure traveller on a budget. It is very close to the yellow metro line and about 5 stops from the city centre. Its about €10 by taxi. Its not too far by taxi to Linate airport. The hotel rooms were clean but small. There is no breakfast room. The rooms at the front of the hotel are noisy at night as the main road is just outside. All in all good value for money in a city which is expensive.

A very basic hotel with no breakfast. Rooms old but well-enough cleaned. Entrance lobby always smelling of cigarette smoke, even if my room did not. Note, in hot weather ... no air conditioning.
