Nice room, but unfortunately the temperature control was broken. At least the temperature it was set at was bearable for the stay.

This is a very central hotel (5 minutes walk from the Duomo, 10 from La Scala), very clean and comfortable. The price quoted (€119 for a double with BB) for a 4-star is quite good given the location. We will certainly try to return at the Dei Cavalieri on our next stay at Milano.

Reception much better this time than last time we stayed here - rooms have improved as well, though "beauty" often not as functional - i.e. turn on sink and water goes everywhere but it is a really pretty sink. Breakfast still only okay, but location is just great. Milan is expensive and sinking dollar no help, but I would stay here again if I returned to Milan in the future.

Although I booked a Business Double/Twin (that is the indication in Venere), when we arrived with my business associate, we were forced to sleep together on a double bed and were really messed about when we asked for double sets of sheets and blankets. Very sloppy arrangements indeed. Overall: one the few decent available choises near Duomo.

Location fantastica a due passi dal Duomo. Garage convenzionato a pagamento.

Although the location is central, there were very few restaurants within 4 blocks of the hotel. They have no quad or family rooms so taking 2 rooms became expensive. The parking was outrageous at 30 Euros per day and 2 blocks from the hotel. I wouldn't stay there again.

Great hotel, great location to see all of the major sights. Breakfast was spectacular. The rooms were immaculately clean, but the only drawback was that there was a bit of a musty odor when we first came into the room. It got better when we ran the air conditioner.

It was a lovely hotel and a great location. The only complaint we had was the delay in our second room being ready. We arrived at 12:30pm. One room was ready, but the other needed to be cleaned. When we returned after 3:00, the room was still not ready and we had to wait another hour while they cleaned the room next door before they finally got to cleaning our second room. The personnel apologized, but it was frustrating that it was 3+ hours to get the room ready.

The only drawback to the hotel was that there was no restaurant, only a small kitchen. Therefore there was very limited availability of room service or meals. There was a nice local restaurant within walking distance however which was very reasonably priced. The train station was 3 blocks away and there were small shops and a McDonald's located nearby. The room was small (not by European standards) but efficient and the bathroom was nice sized with counterspace.

Bad points: When we arrived, there was a bad smell in the room. We complained but they said there was nothing they could do, it was a smell from the drains and that's the way it is in Milan!! The smell was gone by the second day thankfully. The room was in need of refurbishment, the carpets were worn. Other rooms on our floor were in the process of being renovated so I think we were unlucky to get an old room. We had a peek at one and the new wooden floor looked quite nice. The rooms are quite spacious. Good points: Best breakfast we had on our holiday in Italy.

The triple room was the nicest I saw anywhere in Italy. You can walk from Missori subway stop to Duomo subway stop above ground faster than you could do it by subway. So it's a 5 minute walk to the Duomo from the hotel. Only 2 things worth seeing in Milan (if you're not a shopper) are the last supper (Cenacolo Vinciano) and the Duomo (climb to the top). Make a reservation on FlorenceArt. The Cenacolo is closed on Monday.

The price for the rooms at the Dei Cavalieri were oustanding for the four star luxury the hotel provided although it was July so perhaps they were cheaper than at other times of the year. The situation is excellent metro outside the hotel on the line for the main Milan Station and five minutes walk from the Duomo. You can also walk to the Navigli area which is a great area for bars and restaurants.

Nice Hotel. OK service. Entrance and reception not very welcoming. Great Location. If booked via Internet good price. Be aware about parking. If you come by car you have to pay Euro 30 per day for car park 5 minutes away from the Hotel. This car park does not belong to the hotel but they have a special deal with them. Then again what else to expect in the centre of a big city..Breakfast was very disappointing. Compared to two other hotels we stayed in in Italy this breakfast was not great. (considering this is a 4 star hotel)

We booked 2 rooms at the same price. One was very small and the other enormous. Fabulous location in the heart of Milan walking distance to great shopping and restaurants. When checking out we got charged double the booked price by mistake for one room but it was rectified when the error discovered. Excellent breakfast and very convenient location and good rooms, especially the larger one for the price!!

This was an okay hotel, with easy access to metro that is linked to the train station. But, it is pricey. I paid 169 euro per night low season, and this was a discount rate. Hotels in Milan are expensive in any case, but I felt that this was more costly than the worth. The room was very clean, the breakfast was good (breads, juices, meats, cheeses, all kinds of coffee, champagne); the restaurant was horrible for dinner or anything else and so no reason to eat there. The room was functional and comfortable with a good bed and nice sheets and blankets, but nothing special or out of the ordinary. The reception was not welcoming at first, but very helpful for the rest of my stay. The only oddity I came across was the half empty vodka bottle (the little kind) found on my counter after the maid had left. But, the room was clean and well stocked. I wouldn't necessarily go back, just because there is probably a better value elsewhere.

The room was very well furnished and very clean, breakfast was excellent with many choices.Staff were very helpful regarding finding taxis and contacting restaurants. Location was ideal, five minutes walk from the main centre and right next to a Metro. The only downside was the location of the bar which was to the side of the entrance and seemed to be a temporary bar for the Winter.

This is the perfect hotel from which to enjoy Milano. The location is excellent and the service outstanding. Our spacious room opened to the roof terrace and offered the finest view of the city, both day and night. The beds are the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The breakfast was wonderful and offered anything you could want. Everyone of the staff made us feel welcome. We highly recommend "Dei Cavalieri". We certainly plan to return for another stay.

We thought we walked into the wrong hotel when we got there. It was so cheap for the quality! We got a king size suite and it was enormous. The bed was great, bathroom great and very clean. The hotel is v. close to the Duomo - less than 5 mins walk. Dinner at the terrace restaurant was the best pasta we had in our time in all of Italy!!! Such good quality food. Parking was a bit of a rip off at 30 euros with the guy down the road (and that was the special hotel rate!). But considering the room and what we got for 99 euros - we weren't complaining.

Great hotel in an absolutely FANTASTIC location! Just a few steps from the Duomo and most of the major sites and designer shopping district. Hotel is superb and the staff is most accomodating and plesant. Breakfast selection was excellent. Rooms are spacious, modern and clean. Only complaint was that the wals were a bit thin and we could here party revelers in adjoining rooms well into the night. Otherwise, our stay was great. Being a Milanese, I would strongly recommend this hotel and I will most assuredly stay here on all future stays in Milan!

Although the neighborhood immediately surrounding the hotel isn't very scenic, the location is good for tourists: 10 minute walk to the Duomo and Metro lines, 20 minute walk to Brera shopping district. Cab ride from the Central Train Station was about 12 euros. Free buffet breakfast was great. Chic, modern room decor with spacious bathrooms. Staff was helpful in giving us directions and extending our stay (virtually all are at least proficient in English). Internet access available in rooms for 20 euros/24 hours, but cards can be purchased for internet access at the lobby computer for much less. Considering location, room rate, and service, among the best buys during our stay in Italy.

The location is good, three minutes to Doumo, metro station (Missori) exit is just across the road. The service and public areas are good. The spaces are tastefully decorated. The room is on the smaller side, so that you do not have place to open your luggage except on your bed. Bathroom minimal, one feet in toilet when washing hands, one feet in bidet when siting in toilet, both feet in shower when two people inside, but very clean. Do not expect tootbrush, shoeshine or slippers (in 4 stars in Italy) . Overall, very good value for money and pleasant stay. Will recommend this hotel and will stay there again.

On our first trip to Milan, we stayed at the Dei Cavalieri because of its proximity to the Duomo. We were very impressed with the helpful staff. The facility is first class, well worth the four star rating. We had a wonderful view from the veranda near our room. In a city that is considered one of the more expensive in Europe, and with the weak dollar, we found the Dei Cavalieri to be an exceptional value. The complimentary breakfast was the best we had in our two weeks in Italy.

Once I arrived at the Hotel, everything was fantastic starting with the reception by the person at the desk. It was late and there wasn't a lot of people around. I was displeased about the call I made before coming to Milano. I work at the Canadian Embassy in Rome and called by telephone to get a price for a double-room (king bed). I asked for nothing out of the ordinary as I was traveling with my spouse and on our own expenses. I asked for your cheapest rate for this type of room. I was told 229 Euros. I asked if they were sure as we had been told they were less. I was reassured that I was quoted the best price. I thanked the lady who gave me the price and hung up the phone. Then I went on the internet to book another hotel as I thought the price was too steep as I knew there were cheaper rates for that time of year. On the internet I was able to book the same room I asked for 99 Euros a night. I was not pleased to have been offered a price that was 2 and one-half times the price that was quoted on the internet.

The hotel has an excellent location and good standard. It seems as our room was newly furnished, the view to the street was good, but some noise from outside, though not at all annoying. Good bathroom as well as space of room -- sufficient for organizing our stay with two big suitcases and a lot of shopping. Very helpful, service-minded and gentle staff, all with knowledge of english language (though not always completely updated on information on the city...) The room service was extremely on time and the restaurant staff was also helpful.

Really nothing much to say except that whenever we go back to Milan, thats the place we would stay again. Of course we had little hiccups as toilet not flushing...etc...but once informed it was fixed immediately. the service was excellent and we would recommend this hotel to our friends and family visiting Milan

A nice hotel. It's big, so don't expect anything personal.

We were greeted with a "nose-up-in-the-air" attitude. The room air conditioning wouldn t cool the room.I requested another room even though it was already 10:30 PM . Although the hotel was mostly unoccupied, A serviceman was sent instead, at which time he informed us that, "thats the way it is". I called the desk service and demanded a new room, which after having to raise my voice, he granted us. We were given a room with peeling wall paper but good working air-conditioner. Bad news is that early in the morning we were awakened by an on-going loud jack-hammer, outside our window there was a major road reconstruction going on, this lasted for all the days we stayed at the hotel. With a nearly empty hotel and such thoughtless service, we will never return. We had chosen to pay more for the hotel in order to avoid having these types of problems but in the end it didnt pay off !

Cavalieri was under construction when we arrived so staff labored under handicaps. Nonetheless they made us welcome, gave good directions and even satisfied my craving for an apple complementary. We liked this hotel and would stay again. We tried one by the same name in another city, but it was too expensive for us. I assume it was a chain. I hope they do not raise prices to the roof when remodel is complete!

A very good, if somewhat unglamorous, hotel in an excellent location. Breakfast very good. Fairly expensive, but Milan is!

I think is a nice hotel, very well located in center of Milan. Its a very silent, elegant place but the level of the rooms doesn't justify the 360 euros. The service offers security. The breakfast was simple

To be in the very center of the Milan - within walking distance to everything - this hotel provided us with and extremely good value for very elegant accomodations. The staff is attentive and helpful in every aspect - including our request for breakfast in bed. I've stayed in 11 other downtown Milan properties over the past three years, and this is by far the best choice.
