I stayed in Milano 4 days and 3 night I saty with my friends to hotel DATEO. I must admire personal for the reception of the hotel-the guys were great and cleaning service, too. The breakfest was little worse! When I will go to Milano again I want to spend time in your hotel!!!!! Have a nice day and best regards, Andrea Ondrejkova

well they should specify well that the airconditioner is not included in the price,so the client will not expect more..

Mentioned that 5 mins from Train station by the way it takes around 15mins and not clear from the map. First 2 days, we got cotton towels and small pack of cake & toste. However, they provided that table cloth & no coffee on last day. Also nobody in the B & B in the morning and forced us to pay by credit card.

Non male per una notte. Non è comodissimo e non ha stazione dela metro vicine. Le camere sono tranquille ma non pulitissime. Per l'acuqa calda ho aspettato una decina di minuti. Per certi prezzi a milano però non è così facile trovare da dormire...

It was just to spend one night. The place was well to sleep. It was close to the city centre. The space of rooms were not too much but there were clean.

Nice hotel. Rooms were little, but very clean. The hotel is located just outside the train stop "Dateo", which is just minute from the red line metro stop "Porta Venezia". Price is not that high if you consider that this hotel is in Milan.

The room was OK although not so spacious. Window on the main street, a bit noisy during the day. Location is good, the city center is reachable by bus or metro all day long in 10 min. No locked luggage room and the breakfast room is quite limited. A good deal for the price and the location.

The hotel is essential but it was exactly what i expected to find. Good quality/price ratio and very close to the center. The only problem was the noise from the main street, exactly below my window.

Nice, small, budget hotel. No frills, basic accomodations. Can't beat the price. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms facing main street can be noisy (mine was). It's about 30 min walk to Duomo. One can take tram or bus instead.

The Dateo in Milano is basic, however that is reflected in its pricing. It is over all quite pleasant. The website map is a little misleading as the hotel is about 30 + mins walk from the Duomo, depending on how brisk the pace. The staff were exceptional - they helped with all directions to and from sightseeing and offered ideas of what to see and do - they get a 10 out of 10 for friendly and helpful.

A perfectly adequate hotel for one night in a city centre!!! certainly not to be repeated. Staff (1) helpful. Breakfast more basic than basic. Gave us a very poor insight into Italy as it was our first night in the country. Luckily we had a brilliant holiday afterwards and only needed that room to sleep after a lovely after dark wander around Milan. So all in all it was OK. NOTE: entered POOR for correspondence with hotel because there was no space for NONE, as we didn't contact them at all.

i had a nice stay, the rooms were good but lacked little open space in the room. the service was good and the desk person very helpfull. with the price a little more space would have been much better and also an arrangement of a lift or rooms on lower floors for olded people or handicaped people would be much better

this hostel was quite expensive for what you got. when i returned to milan i stayed at a much nicer hotel in a better location for half the price and three times the size of room. i would not stay here again.

well, it is obvious a city that's overpriced. I certainly didn't think that the bugs in the bathroom where something to expect, due to the price we paid. But, the staff were very friendly!

In fact I have found the hotel property in good location, however it supposed to be closer to the center of the city according to the map showh in web. Rooms relatively nice and - those situated at back yard - quiet, Front rooms very noisy espetially when one opens window - you must do it when you are nonsmoking person otherwise you are ofended by smell of cigarettes smoke.

A very small hotel, quite basic, budget type, but the facilities (bathroom, double bed) are good. The staff are THE BEST. For the price, with no frills service, I'd recommend it. Stayed there twice, and shall do next time. Easy walking distance to town.

From the hotel to the very centre you have to walk about 15 min. The room was o.k., but the shower was cold in the morning. The employees Had been very friendly and helpful. The price for the room was too high.

Dateo is indicated as situated in the "centro storico" which is not true. It ttakes you half an hour to walk to the center or you have to take the underground and have to change. The room had a bad smell so I was forced to keep the window open and had all the noise from the heavy traffic in the street. Breakfast is ridiculous. And so the price is not matching the quality of the hotel at all. Any comment about the reality not corresponding with the web page is answered that this is the fault of venere.com - but since it was not the first time I found my hotel in Italy using venere.com I knew that this is not true.

the hotel is pretty small hotel. the double room i stayed in was quite small. and if you have luggage just to for warn you. you have stairs to climb. no elavator. also half of the staff doesn't understand ITALIAN. i don't know if they understand english or not. They weren't very helpful when you asked for infirmation. I would personally never stay there.

the receptionists was nice, the noise was unbearable (from the traffic and the next door), I had a room with no windows but at night, room was so light from outdoor lights coming from the door(glass). The drainage was quite smelly. I would not like to come back to this hotel ever again unless the thinks get improved.

Room was extremely small and shower was nearly impossible to use without water all over the bathroom floor. Clerk was helpful in giving us directions.

This is not a hotel, but a boarding house, and a very shabby one at that. Service is almost non-existant, flimsy walls, liliputian bathroom and rather distant from the subway or the main attractions in Milan. To be avoided.

Hotel Dateo served its purpose. It was a reasonable rate for Milano. The rooms were clean (though as usual with cheaper hotels in Milan the bathroom floor gets soaked after a shower). The bed was good and clean, the breakfast was fine. The best feature of the hotel is its location beside the Metro -very handy. However the map on the website says that you are around 1.5km from the Duomo... I think not!

Canada, Aug 2002
The location on the internet map is quite misleading. The hotel is way outside the area noted and was hard to find. Luckily the staff was very helpful and guided us well. Noise level was high in one of the rooms located on the street side due to overnight road repairs at the time of our stay. Room and service are acceptable. Breakfast is served by the reception staff who was a very nice and helpful man. The location of the hotel is a bit away from the center and at night is not easy to reach.
