The location is excellent, 2 minutes from the Duomo. Breakfast was excellent too.We got an upgraded room that we enjoyed immensely. Service was good.they even send us an item we forgot at the hotel without charging us.
United Kingdom, May 2009
Small problems with the room were dealt with immediately and efficiently. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel as a base for a visit to Milan - very near to the centre but still a quiet location. Breakfasts were an excellent start to a long day of sightseeing or shopping.

I went to Milan to see Leonardo's Last Supper (Cenacolo Vinciano) and watch an opera at Teatro alla Scala. The hotel location is excellent avery short walk to Il Duomo, Galeria Vittorio Emmanuelle and La Scala. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Restaurant not expensive.

With a little help from your reviews that recomended to ask for newly decorated room I have got excelent room, but for higher price.I had a little problem with deposite safe,it was without batteries, but the desk solved it at once. The room and the bathroom were clean ,with a lot of soaps etc-there are so many places with lots of stars where you have to ask for it,but the cleaning lady left once the garbage in the sink!? Espresso was one of the best in Milan, and the location is everything,so close to Duomo,Galleria.Scala,shops.....

The breakfast choices were great; the entire staff especially the doormen/bellboys were very welcoming and helpful. Overall, it was a great hotel except for the fact that cigarette smoke odors permeated in the rooms we stayed in.

We had booked a normal 'double' room and when we arrived we had been upgraded to a suite and it was fab! Really liked this hotel. It was our final night in Italy and so we really enjoyed having the upgrade!

Upon arrival, we were pleased to find that we were upgraded to a suite. This hotel could not have been cleaner. the staff was great. Breakfast was generous and there were extensive choices. Perfect location - 2 blocks from the Duomo.

We were upgraded to a great room. However, the employee who attended us didn't seem to be happy about that. He almost regretted the upgrade.

Not only were we given a suite (to our surprise), but the hotel was more than happy for us to retain the room until 2pm as we had a late flight. We would recommend this hotel for the quality os its service and its proximity to cathedral, La Scala, shopping Galleria etc.

This was my first trip to Milan and considering my short stay, I wanted a hotel that was close to major attractions. Overall, the location of this hotel is very convenient to all major attractions and as a single traveller, did not feel unsafe during my walks back after dark. (Walk to Duomo in 5min) However, the rooms and hotel facilities are old and dated. I was shocked at how 'old' looking my hotel room was, compared to the price I paid. In addition, the worst part was that I woke up early to catch a very early flight to absolutely NO electricity! When I called the front desk they casually told me they would look into it. I explained I had to leave in 30min for a very early flight, only to not have then call me back! Finally I called them 15min later, and said I had to wait for a technician! Finally, they offered another room where I could at least shower and change with lights - but it did not have hot water!!!!! The worst part was that when I finally sorted things out, got my bags and went down to checkout, I did not even get an appology!! In addition, because of this delay, I was now 40min late, I had to take the hotel limo, instead of the train, costing me more than $100more than I expected to pay! I will not return to this hotel as I do not feel they understand customer service, the price is too high considering the conditions of the room and there is nothing 'special' about this hotel that would make you willing to cut its tired appearance some slack.

We were in Milan for the opera at La Scala and to see the Last Supper. Delighted to find there are other cultural sites, as well. We had a good time, and enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the hotel. The risotto is the best we have had. Great location made getting around easy.

this hotel was excellent once we had changed to a renovated room, the unrenovated rooms are really not at all good and do not reflect this feedback. There are not many renovated rooms and these are the ones on your photos so could be a bit misleading. Make sure you ask for one of these rooms

Ideally located for sightseeing: a very short walk to the cathedral, then up the pedestrian zone to the fortezza. Also not far from the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, where the Last Supper could have been seen had we reserved tickets (must be done 2 to 3 weeks in advance!). Other than the bathroom being a bit cramped, the room was spacious enough for our stay; it was quite comfortable. The staff were competent and, aside from the eggs and bacon being only lukewarm, the breakfast buffet was very good. We particularly liked the fresh fruit, tomatoes and mozzarella.

We stayed in Milan for the first three days of our 14 day trip. We enjoyed the location of this Hotel because you could walk to the Duomo, the shops, the museums and restaurants. There is a great local restaurant directly across the street from the Hotel which we would highly recommend. We travel to Venice, Como,Verona and Portovenere. We actually came back to the Hotel the night before we left Italy for one last night in Milan. The breakfast buffet is excellent and a great way to start your day in Milan. I also highly recommend taking the reserved car to the airport for 90 Euros, it will be money well spent. Although we did take the Malpensa Express train from the airport to Milano, we opted for the private car and it was worth the money, especially if you have any luggage. We would definetly return to the Hotel Brunelleschi.

I`m afraid that my comment could not be very objective becuase I was very lucky to receive a room upgrade upon arrival. So I stayed in a superior class room for the price of a standard one. I can only say it was great. A lot of space, many ammenities, etc. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly.

It was a really nice stay at the Hotel Brunelleschi. You got what you paid for. The rooms were quite old-fashioned (80's). However, everything was great. The only negative thing was, that we were not able to switch off the heating as we had about 30° degrees in our room. We would recommend this hotel to everyone and we will definitively go again.

I believe your website is fantastic ! I work in the hospitality business in Napa Valley, USA and feel that your site provided accurate information re: hotels/inns and reasonable prices. I did request through your site a stay Oct 1 at the Hotel Mastino in Verona. Unfortunately, upon arrival they had no reservations under my name, but accomodated me. Thank you again ! I will be visiting Italy April 2007 and will use your site again !
