Hotel Brunelleschi was an ideal base for a weekend visit to Milan. The price via Venere.com compared very favourably with the price given on the door. We were happy to use just the shower rather than the jacuzzi provided.

I was lucki, my room was very spacious, and had a large whirlpool, wich I enjoyed after a long day. But de best part of the hotel is its location, it is just steps from the Duomo and La Scala Theatre, in the tourist center of the city.

The location is good - very close to Duomo, but the street is quite noisy - I would recommend to ask for rooms on the other side. Rooms (and the whole hotel) is a bit old, but this normal for the central location. Breakfast was Ok.

BEDS NOT COMFORTABLE. Excellent convenient location and friendly staff. Room was good size with lots of amenities, however this hotel needs to do something about their mattresses, this was the worst bed i have slept in in a long time (we had 3 beds and they were all the same, furthermore, the floor seemed to be slightly softer). This should not happen at a 4 star hotel (wasn't cheap either), luckily just spent 2 nights in Milan. Nonetheless, Their inclusive breakfast was excellent and we also enjoyed having easy access to the sites.

The hotel is extremely well located near the centre of Milan. It is reasonably modern, well designed and well maintained, but totally lacking in any charm or character. The first major problem for us was the attitude of the reception staff, who were also uniformly charmless to the point of outright rudeness. We stayed in seven different hotels in Italy during a 4-week trip, and were made to feel very welcome in the other six. The second major problem was lack of wi-fi internet access, either in rooms or public areas, which is below the standard required these days for hotels that present themselves as catering to the business market. The staff were unconcerned and did not seem to think it would be a problem.

Make sure to request an inside room on check-in. Streetcar noise cab be heard in rooms facing the street during the day. A very good buffet breakfast is included. Internet access is free (wired, not wi-fi) in all rooms. Staff is very helpful and pleasant. Hotel is only 3 minutes walk to Duomo.

Pricey, but elegant. Lots of tourists, so the breakfast area was jammed. Polite staff, great little bar (and bartender). Do NOT try to drive! But we would definitely stay again.

Small problems with the room were dealt with immediately and efficiently. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel as a base for a visit to Milan - very near to the centre but still a quiet location. Breakfasts were an excellent start to a long day of sightseeing or shopping.

With a little help from your reviews that recomended to ask for newly decorated room I have got excelent room, but for higher price.I had a little problem with deposite safe,it was without batteries, but the desk solved it at once. The room and the bathroom were clean ,with a lot of soaps etc-there are so many places with lots of stars where you have to ask for it,but the cleaning lady left once the garbage in the sink!? Espresso was one of the best in Milan, and the location is everything,so close to Duomo,Galleria.Scala,shops.....

Not only were we given a suite (to our surprise), but the hotel was more than happy for us to retain the room until 2pm as we had a late flight. We would recommend this hotel for the quality os its service and its proximity to cathedral, La Scala, shopping Galleria etc.

This was my first trip to Milan and considering my short stay, I wanted a hotel that was close to major attractions. Overall, the location of this hotel is very convenient to all major attractions and as a single traveller, did not feel unsafe during my walks back after dark. (Walk to Duomo in 5min) However, the rooms and hotel facilities are old and dated. I was shocked at how 'old' looking my hotel room was, compared to the price I paid. In addition, the worst part was that I woke up early to catch a very early flight to absolutely NO electricity! When I called the front desk they casually told me they would look into it. I explained I had to leave in 30min for a very early flight, only to not have then call me back! Finally I called them 15min later, and said I had to wait for a technician! Finally, they offered another room where I could at least shower and change with lights - but it did not have hot water!!!!! The worst part was that when I finally sorted things out, got my bags and went down to checkout, I did not even get an appology!! In addition, because of this delay, I was now 40min late, I had to take the hotel limo, instead of the train, costing me more than $100more than I expected to pay! I will not return to this hotel as I do not feel they understand customer service, the price is too high considering the conditions of the room and there is nothing 'special' about this hotel that would make you willing to cut its tired appearance some slack.

We were in Milan for the opera at La Scala and to see the Last Supper. Delighted to find there are other cultural sites, as well. We had a good time, and enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the hotel. The risotto is the best we have had. Great location made getting around easy.

This hotel was excellent once we had changed to a renovated room, the unrenovated rooms are really not at all good and do not reflect this feedback. There are not many renovated rooms and these are the ones on your photos so could be a bit misleading. Make sure you ask for one of these rooms

Ideally located for sightseeing: a very short walk to the cathedral, then up the pedestrian zone to the fortezza. Also not far from the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, where the Last Supper could have been seen had we reserved tickets (must be done 2 to 3 weeks in advance!). Other than the bathroom being a bit cramped, the room was spacious enough for our stay; it was quite comfortable. The staff were competent and, aside from the eggs and bacon being only lukewarm, the breakfast buffet was very good. We particularly liked the fresh fruit, tomatoes and mozzarella.

We stayed in Milan for the first three days of our 14 day trip. We enjoyed the location of this Hotel because you could walk to the Duomo, the shops, the museums and restaurants. There is a great local restaurant directly across the street from the Hotel which we would highly recommend. We travel to Venice, Como,Verona and Portovenere. We actually came back to the Hotel the night before we left Italy for one last night in Milan. The breakfast buffet is excellent and a great way to start your day in Milan. I also highly recommend taking the reserved car to the airport for 90 Euros, it will be money well spent. Although we did take the Malpensa Express train from the airport to Milano, we opted for the private car and it was worth the money, especially if you have any luggage. We would definetly return to the Hotel Brunelleschi.

I`m afraid that my comment could not be very objective becuase I was very lucky to receive a room upgrade upon arrival. So I stayed in a superior class room for the price of a standard one. I can only say it was great. A lot of space, many ammenities, etc. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly.

It was a really nice stay at the Hotel Brunelleschi. You got what you paid for. The rooms were quite old-fashioned (80's). However, everything was great. The only negative thing was, that we were not able to switch off the heating as we had about 30° degrees in our room. We would recommend this hotel to everyone and we will definitively go again.
