Hotel Brera Apartments - Milan

Pleasantly surprised, better than expected, spacious, neat, modern, great location, excellent self-catering unit.

The Welcoming by Brera apartments employee was first class! The equipment in the apartment was modern and to our satisfactory. There was i.e. a modern espressomachine with coffe, a modern LCD TV, CD Player with IPod connection and lots of DVDs,CDs and books in the shelf. And the overall equipmentlevel was very good. However, we miss a microwaveoven in the kitchens equipment. It is also worth to mention the very disturbing noise (especially in the nights) from apartment heating and waterheater. We also would appreciate just a bit more space in the waredrobe and definitely we would be wanting somewhere to put our outdoor clothes.

After walking from the Central Station in a 30 minutes walk (we thought it was shorter…) we arrived in the Via San Fermo at about the time we had said in the Venere Booking. The people of Brera Apartments were already waiting to receive us with a warm welcome and then gave us a brief introduction of the apartment. We immediately felt at home in the spacious apartment with a 'white and wood' colour scheme on this excellent location! The apartment was perfectly clean, which always makes a superb first impression. There's also an espresso machine, fruit, complete kitchen, stereo with iPod docking station (I put in my iPhone and the music started...), 32" LCD screen with DVD player, digital TV, movies, books and an excellent bathroom with hairdryer, soap and towels. Great lighting throughout the apartment, wonderful shower and a great bed of course. By the way, the towels are incredible. They are from Mirabello Milan, which happens to be a store around the corner. We bought four of these large towels, which are EUR 48,- a piece, but you take a piece of Milan luxury home. Just remember to check the weight of your suitcases at the airport... When you walk a few blocks, you'll immediately enjoy the Brera area with it's beautiful buildings and busy people. Tip; go 'touriststyle'; sitting on the roofterrace of La Rinascente looking on the Duomo. You won't regret it ;) Looking for a great restaurant? Try 'La Tradizionale'. Not exactly in the neigbourhood, but a really great atmosphere, you won't regret it. When we go to Milan again, we will definitely book the Brera apartments. No, we don't have stock options in Brera Apartments ;) It's really an excellent stay in Milan.
