we enjoyed our stay at the Brasil Hotel, nice staff, and all facilities we needed.2 points of comment though: we were visited by a colony of ants during our stay which did not bother us that much, but it's something that can easily be resolved by using ant bait or something. The other point is the lack of public transport close to the hotel. As we've seen there's a tram stop around the corner at the end of the road where the hotel is located, and much closer than the metro station, which is a 15 to 20 minutes walk from the hotel. Nevertheless we would recommend this hotel to everyone, because of the price / quality ratio.

The hotel itself is quite a good place to stay, comparing to the price. The rooms are cleaned every day, reception guys are ok. There's a Carrefour just next to it. But basically that's all - little far away from the city center (around 20-30 minutes walk), metro around 15 minutes away, no interesting bars / pubs near by.

good price and standard for low cost hotel. They clean your room every day . Very near to the city center with excellent public tarnsport (bus stops next to the hotel). I didn't eat any meals there, but I know they have breakfast (3 euros/day). Around the hotel there are a few restaurants and "caffeteria", so you can easily find place and eat something. The staff was very friendly, and they speak English also! Good place for staying in Milan, and won't spend a lot of money.

A very nice and affordable hotel in central Milan. The rooms are simple but clean. It was easy to take the bus to the central Milan and to the Central Station. We hoped for more restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Nice hotel, even a little small to be a real hotel, location on the 4-th flor of a building. 10 minute walk from the metro station Porta di Venezia but the station of bus 60 that brings you to San Babile ( Center) was there at the corner. 100 meters far was Carrfour supermarket. Cheap price and good value of money. Nice staff and nice rooms.

The staff doesnt speak english and reception was right outside our door...felt like we had zero privacy! They take your keys whenever you leave the room as well. On the plus side it was cheap and very close to milans center and easy to reach from the train station. Good for interrailers and the budget weary.

The hotel was very "ghosty"!!! The stairs were like taken out from a horror movie, which fits exactly in Milano culture!!! We loved this terror feeling!!! The guy at the reception was a KING!!! He was perfect!!! Not very easy to communicate, but it was really fun chatting with him!!! He was helpful and knew a lot of things about the city and places!!! Just have some patience if you don't speak Italian!!! Hotel Brasil is great and at very good price!!! Also, it is easily reached by Metro!!!

nice and pleasant stay :) for those who only wants to stay in Milan for a couplne of nights, this could be the right choice. The only problem was with the hot water in the shower- it took a while until it started flowing. Anyway, despited the room was very small, it was completly satifing and clean. Also the staff is nice and polite. And the place of this hotel is very original :D

The hotel is perfect for short term stays when all you ask is to sleep over at a reasonable price. The location is perfect, just 10mins by bus from railway station/airport shuttle. The room was o.k. and clean, bathroom also clean. The flaws were noted though. The lift is too small for people with some baggage and we didnt fit in (we were just 2 girls!) so we had to use stairs to 5th floor. The reading-lamp over the bed was not working. The matress in bed a bit too flaccid. But overall, I think it is good value for the money and would return again.

We were very pleased with the hotel. The lift is a bit scary and you have to climb a long, dark, yet beautiful stairway if you don´t want to take the lift to get to the hotel, but once you get to your spacious double-room, you won´t be disappointed. We were worried, because we chose a room without its own bathroom, but the bathroom in the hall is big and clean and not "overcrowded". We didn´t try the breakfast at the hotel, you can find lots of places to eat around there. For this price, i think its a perfect hotel.

Unfortunately they were redecorating the room next door, which made quite a lot of noise during the day. The elevator was not in function, so we had to carry our heavy luggage five floors up! Otherwise, loved the stay - the stab was really nice to us. We will definitely recommend it to others.

a cery good hotel... very near at the city center and also very near at buses stop and underground stop... the only negative thing is that is a little beat noisy in the night but if you will walk all the day in the city, in the night you will be so tired that you'll not ear the noisy of the street... the hotel brasil is little but at the same time is very familiar... i support it for young travellers :)

The room was very very loud, it was a two-bedroom but we've paid for a three-bedroom. The bathroom was not clean, it smelled. The worst anyhow were the beds: absolutely not possible to sleep in a bed like that. Matresses way too old and broken. In two words: Not recommendable!

We stayed in room #15 I think it was. It had a sink and a bidet, but not toilet or shower. The public bathroom and shower are clean. There were 2 shower stalls side by side and a toilet. You can lock the main door or just lock the door for the toilet. For the price of 55 Euros, that wasn't bad. It's a bit of a walk from the train station and restaurants, but for that price, you can't beat it. There is someone at the front desk 24 hours, which was a plus. ATM & supermarket are very close.

Horrible, we had booked two bedrooms, a triple an a double, both with private bathroom and with breakfast included, but with the excuse that they hadn't seen our reservation they put us in an old, enormous room, for 8 people, the bathroom was out of it and didn't have breakfast! I wouldn't repeat in this "hotel".

I and my husband will never return to this hotel. Besides it is dirty and noisy, we don't have a room as we have prenotated. What the hotel staff calls "bathroom" is just a shower and a sink, without a WC (latrine). When we complain about that absence, the receptionist harshly asked us: "What's the problem?". This is our only bad experience with a Venere hotel.

A great place, particularly for single young people. More a hostel than a hotel. BE CAREFUL -- while the website states "wireless internet" this really means that you can access the internet on a SINGLE Macintosh that is wirelessly connected to the Internet. You will NOT have personal access on your own computer!

The hotel was ok, nothing special. The room was small, cleanliness ok (except shower drain clogged), staff friendly. The relation price-quality is ok, the location central enough. this hotel is only to recommend for people which stay just one night or for young people which stay out for nearly the whole night in night clubs. If you look for a quite not so expensive place. forget this hotel. This hotel is dirty and noisy. Forget sleeping here. The most awful fact was that in this hotel stay often young teens which have paid 1 pound for a flight and drink and disturb the whole night. the hotel staff do not care really about this noise. so you are actually pay not so much but you can not sleep there. if you like sporting activities you can find here. you can carry your bagage in the 5th level by yourself, because most of the time the elevator is out of order.

We were satesfied with the propety. The staff was helpful and kind. The main railwaystation is nearest as we tought, it was only 10 min. ride by bus. We disapprove only the quietness of our room, but our room have had a view on the main street, so it is normal, they have also rooms with a bettter view and more quiet. As we know they have the best prices in Milan, (accomodation in Milan is not cheap), but if we compare it with prices in other italian cities they are a bit high.

As most of the places to stay in Milan are quite expensive, staying at Hotel Brasil for a relatively low price was a nice experience. We didn't have big expectations, so we were satisfied. Although, if to mention disadvantages - not so comfortable bed and very hot in the room for January. Advantages - a balcony with a very nice urban view :)

Hotel Brasil was exactly what one would expect for the money, but not much more. The rooms are not very sound tight--we were able to listen to gaggles of girls staying there shower and giggle for most of the night. The shower shares a tight space with the toilet and the bidet, which I suppose would be nice if you needed to multi-task. The staff was courteous but never went out of the way to be nice. Also, our room smelled bad for most of our stay, though I don't think it had to do with cleanliness--it was quite clean.

The Brasil good for the price, outside the centre but with shops around it the only problem was the state of the showers, if they have the showers fixed then the Brasil would be excellent value for money not just good value.

siamo stati all'hotel brasil all'inizio della nostra vacanza: l'edificio non è recente ma l'hotel è organizzato bene. la camera era abbastanza comoda anche se di dimensioni un pò modeste e il personale è stato gentilissimo. inoltre il centro si raggiunge facilmente e nei dintorni ci sono sia dei ristoranti e pizzerie che un paio di supermercati. penso che torneremo ancora allo stesso albergo in caso di una nuova sosta a milano!

The location was excellent. The hotel is on the 4th floor so it was tough to get up there with all our luggage. The staff were very welcoming. The room was tiny but very clean, so was the ensuite. The rooms looked like they were recently renovated. We watche Milan v Liverpool in the lobby and the guy behind the desk was very friendly. When we turned up at Brasil at 2pm - on the website it said turn up anytime after noon. We were told to come back in an hour so we could access our room. It was pouring with rain and had to walk around for an hour in it. The hotel is going through works so the room we were in was quite noisy and there were alot of builders and tradespeople there most of the time. The room was a good size and the bathroom good. It was a good price and a good room otherwise. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

When seeing the photos gave us to the sensation of that was going to be a charming site, but really it is a hotel that occupies a plant of an old building. The washbasin embozaba, there was no shower plate, only a water-drainage in center of the bath. It really needs a reform. Nevertheless, the room was ample, we were three people, and clean. But later we have been in other hotels that by he himself price improved the supply fully. To emphasize one pizzeria in the same street, very cheap and with best pizzas than we have proven in Italy
