staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; really good cafe(s) around the corner. Room was facing courtyard so relatively quiet, and very comfortable and clean. Very close to Porta Venezia metro so easy to get in and out of the centre quickly and easily but also within short walk of Stazione Centrale. Excellent value for money. I will definitely stay again; staying at Hotel Aurora made my stay in Milano very pleasant (and affordable).

Very clean and comfortable room. Also great location and very friendly employees. The rooms are quiet small and it may be a little overpriced, but it suited our needs.

We had 5 nights at this hotel in a triple room. With the double glazing the noise from the street outside was not too bad - no worse than any other hotel we have stayed in in Italy. The room was quite spacious and clean. The shower worked well (with hot water!) and even the hairdrier worked (a far from usual occurrence). The air conditioning did not appear to be switched on the first night and it was hot as a result but it was on (without our having to ask) on all the subsequent nights and did an excellent job. The staff were helpful even when their English was not so good. However, it should be up to me to improve my Italian which is far from good. They were also very helpful about allowing us to leave our bags behind the desk all of the last morning and early afternoon. The lack of breakfast was no problem as there is an excellent pasticciere close by on the other side of the road and a bar with a range of above-average (and that's for Italy) coffees next door but one. There is also a very popular gelateria on the opposite side of the road. The location is excellent as it is close to the metro and only a few minutes from Duomo and it's also on a direct line from Cadorna which serves the airport. The walking time to central station is between 10 and 15 minutes depending upon your speed. The map on the site shows the hotal as a little further towards the centre than it is (at least i got confused finding it initially) but the general location is accurate. The public area is quite small but I diun't really need to use it. I would recommend this hotel in Milan at the price.

Great hotel! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in the 3-person room and it was excellent. The furniture was new, the bed was comfortable, the TV was new (LCD), there was free wireless internet access and the window was with a view to the main streer - what do you need more? :) The hotel location was GREAT. This is one of the main streets of Milano, that is leading directly to the Vittorio Emanuele street and strait to the Duomo... There are also metro stations in both directions and in 5 min away... To summarize great hotel, great people.... ! :)

Absolutely met my standard, so I was happy with the tradeoff on price and location and quality of room. Clean and reasonable space considering the price (70 euros for three) and reasonably well situated for seeing the sights once we got the hang of the Metro. Manager was fine if a little offhand, not particularly welcoming as such but answered every query. Only disappointment was the parking availability was 30% more than quoted on website and inflexible--couldn't move car within 24 hours or else the rate went from 24 euros for the day to 2 euros per hour.

If you want hot water when you wake up in the morning you should ask for it. We found out too late. After turning on the water heater they told us that it would be an hour for hot water. The water was so cold that we didn't shower before our flight home.

The hotel is conveniently located as it is close to both the airport and central train station and on the subway and tram lines. It is in a safe neighbourhood on a very busy street with many cafes, bars, restaurants, as well as a grocery store. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and large by European standards. We had requested a bathtub but our triple room (#14) didn't have one. Also the air conditioning was a little lacking in our room. To open the windows onto the main street out side would have been much to loud to sleep through. The Aurora Hotel's illuminated sign was right out side the window as well so it always seemed like daybreak. I would definitely stay here again but I would be sure to try to get another room on the inner courtyard. I found it to be a good, budget priced hotel and well suited for myself, my wife and our 10 year old daughter.

Hotel Aurora was easily accessed from the main train station via metro. Private room was small but very clean. Our room faced a noisy street but was not very distracting. The hotel location was in a very trendy shopping area and plenty of restaurants to try out.

Pay attention to the price of car park (some minutes later and you pay two days;24€ per day) Don't pay breakfast at the hotel. You will pay 5€ for a ticket which gives you a chocolate and a cake in a coffee shop near the hotel. If you take the same directly in the coffee shop you will pay 1,80€.

Yes, its a cheap hotel, however the rooms, toilets, locations and surroundings is great! 10 min from Central Station, 20 min from Duomo and 2 min from several nice restaurants (ask the reception!) We only missed possibility to get a baby cot everything else was well over our expectations!

The noise is a real issue if you are in one of the rooms on the road. Anywhere but those rooms would be quiet. This would be the same for most of the hotels in Milano so this is not just for this hotel. No noisy clubs or anything like that. A plus of being on a main street is that the area is well lit when you return to your room at night. Very friendly owner and staff. Great place to stay.

rooms were great, welcoming great, and area it is in is fabulous for shopping, and not too far from the train station. would have preferred a double bed for the two of us rather than two singles, and another blanket. i wouldn't want to stay when it was hot, as you cannot open the window, it's just way to noisy with traffic. but the windows closed is fine. i guess that's not the hotel's fault!

We reserved one night through Venere and had no problems with our stay so we reserved another night for the following week. When we arrived, we found that our name had been erased from their reservation book and they had no rooms remaining. To their credit, they put us up in a 4-star hotel in the same section of Milan for the same price (with some convincing necessary), however, after lugging the suitcases from hotel to hotel I wouldn't want to stay there again.

Although not paricularly close to either the airport bus terminals or the central rail station, its proximity to a Metro station is of subsequent benefit. The lack of food and drink facilities may not be to everyone's liking, but a variety of outlets within 2 minutes walk are available. Although on a very busy road, its setback location provides a quiet atmosphere for a restful night. Personal mosquito protection may be helpful in hot weather.

Located directed on a main shopping road; but even if you have a room to the streetside the noise-level is very low (but don't open the window). It's a hotel renovated hotel with a very old-fashioned lift (the hotel is only on the first floor). The bathroom is very excellent and clean. Unfortunately no breakfast. Interesting to have a heating and a air-conditioner at the same time; but the heating was not to make off. In overall a very good quality for this price and for a one-star hotel. I have excepted far less.

Generally, we are very satisfied with the room. It's very clean and new for a 1-star accommodation. However, the flooring is in stone so it can get very cold especially at nights. I really liked this hotel..Though it is located in the busy commercial street, I never felt it was noisy out there. It is such a cozy quiet place with a small patio, which I could never imagine. The hotel manager and staffs are friendly so we can feel free to ask them anything. Rooms seem to be renovated recently and it's kind of modern & comfortable. The location is fine, not too far from anything..I thought it was just convenient. I'll stay at Aurora again when I visit Milan in the future.
