I was upgraded from a single room to a double with use as single, without having to ask and at no extra charge. Everything about my stay was perfect. I am trying to think of an excuse for another visit to Milan, just to stay at the Auriga.

Convenient location, a short walk from the central railway station. Very welcoming, helpful staff. Lovely decor. My single room was at the top of the hotel with a view of the Pirelli building. The bathroom was a little old-fashioned, but everything worked perfectly. The barman introduced me to an aperitif I hadn't tried before - Aperol - which I enjoyed. The area is becoming more up-market, with lots of new high-rise offices and quality restaurants. There are also bars offering tavola calda, where you can get a cheap lunch alongside the office workers.

Very enjoyable stay. Found a wonderful restaurant nearby called Tulipiana - brilliant steak. Great location next to Central station.

We stayed here for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Highly recommended for transport links and an excellent hotel. Had all the key ingredients for a short stay, it was very clean, good quality beds, bathrooms and also excellent all-round service.

Good location, hotel sign is viewable from the station. Some bars nearby, it's easy to find food. Staff slightly frosty, apart form the barman who was very friendly. Room very big - a bit of peeling wallpaper, and decor looks slightly out of date, but pretty good overall. Would definitely stay there again.

Very welcoming staff, we got our room at 10am eventhough the normal time is midday. We'll come back for sure. The only thing is there is no free wifi, cost is 9 euros per 24 hour.

Arriving at Milan Central Station very early from the Paris sleeper train we found the Auriga very easily. The welcome was warm and the staff were all efficient and helpful. The room was spacious and well appointed with stylish decor. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. We will definitely stay there again.

This hotel is very close to the central rail station and convenient. The room was comfortable and quiet. However it would be better if they could offer something little more than just basics like cleanness, comfortable and quiet etc for the price. For example, why not offer internet free wifi connection like other 3 star hotels instead of one PC at next to the reception and need to swipe a credit card to use?

The map is slightly misleading. Once you exit from Central Station in Milan, stick to your right and you will see the Hotel sign posted. The hotel is clean and quiet. Proximity to Central Station, Metro and trolly stops. Very convenient. Highly recommended.

I loved the art deco design of this hotel. It is close to railroad station, and one can walk from there if there is not too much luggage. I would stay there again.

It is a good choice if you travel to Milan, near Metro and a lot of excelent restaurants nearby. The breakfast is correct and the rooms are very quiet and spacious. Better the highest rooms to avoid the metro noise (near the Central Station all the hotels have this little problem).

The Auriga is in a perfect location if you are arriving by train for a short stay in Milan....it is literally right across the street from the station so no need for taxis, etc. It was a pleasant, clean hotel w/good service at desk and breakfast. I would stay there again.

For my second stay at this lovely hotel, I had a double room, used as a single. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a big bathroom. I was treated royally by the staff, and I'm trying to think of reasons to return to Milan, just so that I can stay at this hotel again.

I had a single room, which was small, but very comfortable, and it had a nice big bathroom. Although my room overlooked the street (I had a view of the Pirelli building) I did not hear much traffic noise. All the hotel employees - and the manager - were very pleasant and helpful. Both the breakfast buffet and the meal I ordered from the kitchen menu were excellent. The hotel is extremely well placed for traveling by train, being close to a Metro stop and the main railway station (where you can also catch a bus to the airport). Just around the corner from the hotel are several restaurants, and a little supermarket called Filzi Market with a wonderful display of meats and cheeses and fresh produce in the front, and a wide selection of bottled, packaged and canned stuff around the back.

The hotel is near the train station, just across the street. On the other hand, it's 50 meters from the closest metro station, so it takes 5-10 minutes to get to the center. My room faced the "inner garden", so it was very quiet. Breakfast is good (maybe a little bit more variety of fresh fruits and then it would be excellent). The staff at night is ok, but during the day they are much more competent. The big minus for me was the lack of free internet, even though I had my computer. They give only the connection, but you have to pay for provider, and it's too expensive for my taste. Overall a very nice place to stay during the trip to Milano for vacation or business.

This is wonderfully convenient to the train station. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. There's a nice, full breakfast and the staff are polite, well-informed and helpful. It is not a great location for ambiance in terms of the city of Milano and the rooms are slightly dated but overall, it's a good value for the money and a nice hotel.

Space of room and bathroom are comfortable. The persons at front were kind. We asked them to know timetable of train, they printed it. I didn't know no good hotel near the central station without this one. The price was reasonable.

Great location, just 55 steps from the Plaza Signoria (I counted). Was a little worried when the cab driver dropped us at a dead end and said "it's just down the alley"...the hotel is located in a little strip of shops/restaurants where cars cannot drive. The gentleman at the registratioin desk was a delight, very helpful and welcoming. The room was very big. My only complaint is we were on the 2nd floor and there is a student dorm/eating hall below and it was noisy at night. I would recommend requesting a room on a higher level. I should mention our visit was also during the Europe Cup so there kids celebrating until wee hours of the morning. Can't beat the location, that's for sure. From experience, in Florence you can end up with some shabby hotels for a lot of $$...this hotel is clean, comfortable, and right where you want to be without having to spend a fortune. There are lots of stairs and the elevator doesn't take you to the level where the registraiton and breakfast is located, you have to walk up a flight of stairs, if you have a physical condition that prohibits you from climbing stairs with your luggage you may want to look elsewhere.

This hotel is very close to the central rail station and is very convenient if you have an early morning train to catch. The room was comfortable and quiet. We had to leave before they started serving breakfast so canoot comment on the food. The price was very reasonable.

Only stayed 1 night, but would like to stay there again another time. We arrived by train about 10pm, but had to walk around for a while before finding hotel - in fact you can easily see it from outside the staion in daylight! Very welcoming atmosphere, with bar open until late. Rooms very spacious and clean, and breakfast was excellent. Some noise from metro trains under hotel.

The breakfast at Hotel Auriga is ample and diverse, including fruit. The Hotel is walking distance from the train station and just across the street from the Pirelli Tower. Located in a business section of town but accessible to two subway lines, making it easy to get anywhere in Milan. One can hear the subway pass underground at night but it was not disturbing on the floor we were on. The map of the location, however, was misleading and should have been a bit more detailed.

Rooms were described as soundproofed. This is true in that very little sound came in from the street, however soundproofing between the rooms needs improvement. Otherwise everything else about the hotel was excellent & as advertised.

Rooms in Milan double during Fashion Week, otherwise we'd rate price/quality higher. The Auriga is quite nice and is very conveniently located near Milano Centrale F.S. and the Metro. The staff was quite helpful. The only problem they were unable to fix was getting their phone system to work with my international phone credit card -- probably some incompatibility between their LD service and my card, not their fault but their phone carrier's fault. The room was beautifully furnished and spotless. Breakfast was quite nice, and we were disappointed that we couldn't take advantage of our second day, but we needed to be at the airport before breakfast was served. The only possible negative for some visitors might be the rumble from the metro as it rolled under the hotel! We thought it cute rather than bothersome, and we easily slept through it. We'd readily return to the Auriga. Only next time we schedule a vacation stop in Milan, we'll check the Fashion Show schedule.

This hotel was very nice, especially for the price. The public areas were well designed and clean. The staff provided good restaurant advice for a Sunday night when many places are closed. We were pleased to discover that there were a number of restaurants only a few blocks away. The area around the hotel was better than I had expected after reading various reviews about the area surrounding Milano Centrale Station. It was clean but rather deserted at night so we limited our walking to the restaurant and back and encountered no problems. The room itself was exactly as pictured on the website. The bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet, as we faced the back of the building. The bathroom was large and the water pressure was great. The breakfast was very nice, with freshly made cappuchinos. All in all, a very nicely run hotel with great access to the main train station.

This hotel is close and convenient to the Milano Centrale train station and a Metro stop. It has a sign that is visible from the train station. The room was very clean and recently re-decorated. It was very fashionable with dark green as the main color. The breakfast was excellent, though the background music was very annoying.

This was my first visit to Milan and the Auriga was my last stop after two weeks of traveling throughout Italy. The facility is top-notch. The highlight of our stay was the staff went out of their way to please us to the point of cooking and serving an evening meal even though we were the only ones using their dining room that night. I can highly recommend this fine hotel.

I stayed this hotel for 2days on my business in the begining of July. The location of the hotel is very nice. It was 2 minutes walk from Milano central station and Airport bus stop, and I could identify a signboard of the hotel from the station. My room was very clean and quiet, and the aircondition worked well. The space of my room located nearest to the list was little small. A light bulb of my room was broken, but was fixed quickly after my claiming its repair. The continental breakfast was nice. The persons in the reception desk in day 2 and 3 were friendly and smart. But, at my checkin in the evening, there was only one staff in the reception even at the busy time, and he seemed to be a little sloppy. The surrounding of the hotel is completely bussiness district. At night, I could not find a nice restaurant near the hotel, but a caffeteria was in a 2 minutes walking distance from the hotel.

After an night flight and the bus ride to the main teminal, it was such a relief to walk outside and see the sign for the hotel right across the plaza. It was quiet and the breakfast was very good. My only complaint was that the room safe was not operational. I plan to stay there again next year.

This is a very lovely little hotel, with beautiful rooms, a nice lobby and a good breakfast. Of course, it is right next to the train station, so it is a little far from Central Milan, but the subway is very convenient to the hotel and runs directly to the tourist areas. Good value for the money.
