Hotel was over priced for what you got. They would not let us use the air conditioning and it was very hot! We were in a very noisy room. We were disappointed and would not stay at this Hotel again.

me and my husband have been in Milan for 3 and a half days. hotel is good: clean, no problem to find it - very close to Central r/w station, good public transportation to all sightseeings and shopping areas, brearfast is very rich. highly recomended ! unfortunately - very narrow bed as for 2 persons and the water head was very weak in shower pipe.

This was my second time in Italy (and Europe) and the first time in the north of Italy. I stayed in a single room with a bathroom. The room was clean. There was no view...is there a "view" in Milan? It was relatively quiet, but I was also traveling in what I would conisder the off season. The hotel was very close to the metro and one of Milan's major train stations, which was very convenient for my day trips out of the city. The only down side: I attempted to address the hotel desk clerks in Italian, but they would have none of it. They responded only in English. It was a dissappointment for someone who would like to have more exprience in practing the language.

The location of hotel is perfect! It's very near to Milan Central Station, maybe 5 minutes. And it also near to Metro Station. The room is clean, but very small and sometimes be noisy. The person in reception was very nice and helpful. The hotel is very easy to find when you stand at the piazza railway station. But the uncomfortalbe thing is we have found our room window was open by the cleaner when we backed to hotel. The window is near the corridor and anyone can climb into the room.Although nothing was lost,we still feel dangerous.

When looking at the other guests' review about the hotel, we found that we were not the only ones to think that the booking price included breakfast but were told the opposite on arrival. It's also amazing that the reception staff asked us to return to the counter an hour later to get our passports back because he needed that amount of time to complete the check-in process.

We spend two days in hotel Augustus. We booked the hotel with Venere by internet. On the site they said 2 times breakfast is included (they changed it now: one time not included, further on breakfast is included). When we left they charged us 44 euro for 2x2 breakfast and they charged more for the room (charged: 69 euro/night). I complained and they showed me a paper saying breakfast is not included during weekends. I had to pay but wrote them an e-mail about my complain. Their reaction:"It is the same policy of low cost airways company, you travel for very cheap rate but on board you pay for food & beverage." Yes, that's right, but not in a 3-star hotel and not when you book breakfast included. I find this reaction rude and not service minded, and so was also the hotel staff during our stay. So look out !

spacious rooms, good location right next to central station. Very nice breakfast with a good selection. Only draw back of hotel was that the shower was not attached to the wall so you had to hold it up over you when you wanted a shower.

The room was very quiet and the bed was ok, but the furniture wasn't very up to date and the bathroom wasn't that clean. Staff was friendly but only untill we paid the bill. It could have been a 2-star-hotel.

Excellent location, just across from the train station. Yet it was quiet, modern and very comfortable. It was more like a North American hotel than most other properties in which we'd stayed in Europe. The bedroom was smallish, but adequate for our needs, and very clean. The bathroom was very large ( a welcome change!) sparkling clean and equipped with (almost) every convenience. The only drawback was that there was a bath but no shower. The hotel is located in a largely business area so we had difficulty finding a laundromat, for example. But the central area was only a subway ride away.Oh, but the breakfast was great! Fruits, meat, cheeses, fresh (not packaged)croissants and pastries, cereal, yogurt and juice. wow! Excellent value for Milan.

I'm quite satisfied with my stay @ Augustus. Price was supposed to be inclusive of breakfast but it wasn't. Rooms are spacious and well cleaned, some furniture may be old but the place is well worth the price, especially in an expensive city like Milan.

I booked a room for 3 and was pleased to have a spacious 3 separate bed room with a large bathroom and ample wardrobe space. We were close enough to the central railway station without being too close to notice any noise. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying over for a weekend in this wonderful city. Don't miss the prevailing football match ... you cannot go without enjoying the San Siro experience.

Very brief stay, very welcoming staff. Nice hotel. Very conveniently located near the main rail station, close to subway. Form there you can reach the airport in about 30-40' taking a couple of bus (cost: 1 Euro) or taking a cab (but beware of traffic on working days) Having lived round the corner for years, I can say that the area is not the nicest in town and closeness to station makes it a bit dull in the night - basically forget about having a stroll there. Not to say that is actually especially dangerous, not comparable to NY or most of the US; still, if you feel like having a walk in the evening / night take the subway and go in the center. Much nicer. Actual violence to tourist, even in that area, is (as far as I know) rather uncommon. As anywhere else thiefs are at work... (I now live in Barcelona, much worse in that respect). So do not wear your gold and diamonds Rolex or expensive Tiffany pieces... In the day is OK and the vast shopping area of Corso Buenos Aires is at walking distance (or 5' by tram/bus) Good hotel, probably one of the best ratio price/quality
