Hotel Arizona - Milan

This hotel was very noisy on Saturday from the nightclub next door, when I asked to move rooms I was advised that as I had occupied it for one night 'No' I advised this was unacceptable. The receptionist called the manager who authorised moving rooms. The second room had a locked connecting door which allowed all TV voices, shower and personal noises through and I failed to sleep until about 3am.This room also had a glass door that lead into a sealed balcony room, you could not open the door as cigarette smoke from other rooms collected here and the smell was quite intense. A different receptionist on my last night was not trained to collate my bill and I was asked to wait until the morning. The breakfast staff one morning watched F1 motor racing during guests breakfast. The metro walk back to the hotel late at night did not feel very safe but the tram was OK just not that quick.

Surprisingly, the street noise was quite low (I expected it much worse considering the hotel location, only about twenty meters far from the highway). On the other hand, the internal acoustic isolation is very poor : I could hear distinctly my neighboor speaking on phone, I could even smell his perfume through the separatiion door! Last but not least : some trouble with the toilets and / or shower water evacuation system. Sometimes, an awful smell came to my nose, when flushing was used somewhere. I noticed when I arrived perfume diffusers in the hotel corridors : they were obviously there to mask the bad smells. I would therefore not recommend this hotel as long as they do not have done the necessary repair work.

The hotel is lovely. No major faults. Staff were very friedly and helpful. Just the gentleman that check us in was a bit abrupt, but he may have been after a long day. The main entrance we used was fine, i was around back of hotel but they do have parking as far i know. Its around 50 mins on tram to centre of milan during busy time. The tran goes from outside the hotel.

Very good.

The room was clean (i.e. no dust, bathroom and floor ok, ...) but the overall aspect was poor (e.g. dirty ceiling above airco) The hotel was quiet enough (although close to highway) but some other clients were not at all ! You cannot blame the hotel direction for that, just remember you're in Italy..... Parking is definitely a big advantage, especially with the tramway on the corner of the street (40 Min to the Duomo). Breakfast was above Italian average norms. All together a very advisable address.

Staff is very kind and helpful. Rooms are quite and confortable. Breakfast is various and satisfactory. The hotel is not located in the centre city, you have to take the tram n. 14 from Duomo square and it takes about 40 minutes to reach the hotel. But the tram is confortable and the hotel is very close (less than 1 km!) to Palasharp where me and my friend enjoyed the Massive Attack concert. The hotel isn't so far from FieraMilano. I would recommend it to everyone, expecially to those who want to go to palasharp or in its neighbourhood.

I will go again there because the hotel is ok for my need.

The hotel is not bad... the rooms are a bit old and would need some renovation, but they are clean and spacious enough. The breakfast is not the best that I've tried, but it's fair enough to start your day with the standard cappucino+brioche. I'd suggest this hotel for business travellers only.

The hotel is clean and staff helpful. There is WiFi Internet access but it's not for free. Rooms have thin walls so if your neighbour is a noisy one you'll be disturbed. The hotel is next to the highway, with no shops, cafe, or restaurants nearby; therefore it is convenient only if you have to do some job nearby or if you are looking for cheap accomodation and then you'll use public transportation to central Milan (30 minutes).

Abbiamo soggiornato all'Arizona per il concerto dei Negramaro a San Siro. L'hotel è posizionato ottimamente per raggiungere lo stadio a piedi lasciando la macchina costudita nel cortile interno dell'hotel. 20 minuti a piedi bastano per arrivare a S.Siro. Camere pulite e ottima colazione. Personale cordiale.

location is not in city center, however transportation is 2 minute walk from hotel to tram stop which takes you directly to city center in 20 minutes

Quite good. I stayed only a night but room was not very spacious. I had a problem sending a fax.. I made by myself!!

Very poor hotel. But the fact they had a free of charge bus every morning to the Milan Fair counts for a great deal.

Great location just off the Autostrade in a very commercial/light industrial area of Milan....less than a half hour drive to Malpensa. Room was relatively quiet but poorly lit & somewhat dated furnishings.

Better than what I expected... Hope to find this rate again.
