A great location for a fair price, where most other hotels appear to be outside of the centro storico. Via Torino is LOUD (as expected) and walking to the Duomo feels a bit like fighting your way down Oxford Street. Initially we had problem wit a very smelly room with no light in the bathroom but staff were efficient and we were moved. Breakfast is good.

Make sure you take ear plugs in case your room is on the street. The rooms can also be noisy. Otherwise, a very pleasant hotel, close to the centre.

The single room that I had was not a bad size and well furnished. The bed was comfortable and the room was pretty quiet, with little sound coming from the busy road in front of the hotel. We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful, our room and bathroom seemed to be brand new and very clean. We were able to walk to all the sites in the central historic district of Milan. The wifi worked in our rooms too, not just the common areas of the hotel!! All in all a very good value for us and a pleasant experience.

Milan is an expensive city to stay in, but within that, the price was fair. It is a modern hotel and I found it aesthetically pleasing and interesting in the public areas. The size of the bedroom was minimal (as I expected) but sufficient. Window could not be opened, not even the blind, but this was not a problem to me. Breakfast was fine - the ham, in particular, was outstanding. Hotel not suitable for anyone with physical disabilities as you have to go down several stairs to get to the lift. Would happily return, as the hotel is very well situated (near the "Duomo") and tastefully decorated, and the price is realistic.

I love the location of the hotel. Its very near to Milan's city center, you can basically go shopping, walk back to your hotel, put down the shopping bags and go for another round of shopping. Room size is acceptable and clean, and since i have the back view (facing so called garden) so its quite quiet. The Staff is just normal, no extra friendliness. Breakfast was good but after sometimes eating bread and cold meat, i grew quite bored of the breafast. The pie was good though. The only downside is the lack of amenities in the room such as a kettle to boil water. Acceptable Hotel quality. Would consider to stay here again.

Room was very spacious (but not all of them are the same, I was lucky) and clean. Lured by free Sky Italia vision available in the room, I was disappointed when the system apparently broke down and I could only watch a still picture of the Italian Parliament. Things that can happen. The good thing is anyway that you have this complimentary facility. But no free wifi, if you are interested. Only pay wifi. Breakfast was quite good. It was very OK on Italian standards, but I think it can prove to be good also for foreigners used to stronger morning meals.

Problems with heating and thermal insulation: the heater was very noisy, I turned it off. But then the room was getting cold in short time, with breezing air current coming from the (closed) window directly onto the bed!

The Ariston is a really nice modern business-y hotel in a central location, the amenities were nice, the breakfast spread especially was really good, and in general provided a comfortable stay for our visit. Be aware, though, that this being Milan and the hotel being on a main road, there will be some noise in the mornings from the trolleys etc., it wasn't a big deal for us, but we are not the lightest sleepers.

While serving an excellent breakfast and having a very good location in relation to the Duomo etc., the service was mediocre. We were coping with lost luggage and the clerk only grudgingly called the airlines for us. The B&B is an easy walk from the Metro. We took a taxi and were taken the long way around to our hotel (16 euros!). Directions from the metro would be helpful.

Extremely noisy street-- room was at the front of the hotel, facing the many trolley, buses. Breakfast was quite nice. Deskpersonnel called a taxi-- that ripped us off. That wasn't much help. It is easy walking distance to the Duomo, and though the street is busy, it was pleasant.

The Hotel Ariston has an excellent location, very central, and within easy walking distance of Duomo, the Sforza Castle, La Scala, and so on; also it's in a neighborhood with many restaurants and pubs -- we ate in a different place every night, and even found a nearby market for simple meals such as bread, cheese and fruit. The traffic on Via Torino was a bit noisy, but the windows shut it out effectively at night. Their breakfast was very good, with particularly fine coffee. The staff were friendly and efficient, and spoke good English. It was also useful to have Internet facilities available, for booking our flight home.

Location is perfect about 10 mins walk from Duomo. However, the directions given by the website are dissapointing it took me about an hour or so to look for tram 2 from the central railway and finally found out that the line does not pass by this point anymore! The easiest way to reach the hotel is the metro get off Duomo and walk down Via Torino or take tram 14,3 from Via Torino (only 2-3stops).

Location is great--close to the Duomo and shopping, plus there are some nice resturants nearby. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable. Maybe a bit small for some, but we were fine with it. Only negative was that we could hear hear trams/traffic from our window at night. Breakfast was a nice buffet, complete with great coffee or cappuccino, and the gentleman in charge of the breafast room service was excellent. Like other areas of the hotel, very clean and welcoming. Milan is a great city, and if we ever come back, we will definitely stay at the Ariston.

Hotel is situated just right down Via Torino (connecting the hotel with Piazza Duomo: with a good pace you walk this street in less than 7 minutes). A lot of shops and amenities in the surroundings. Room is small but who needs a bigger room when travelling anyway? Staff was corteous, and the breakfast was very good, serving excellent coffee and cappuccino, freshly-baked croissants etc. Italian newspapers were a welcoming bonus. In the middle of summer, I found their rates quite a bargain for the price and location. Will probably stay here again in my future trips to Milan.

I had a single room for 2 nights which was fine. It was a single bed but very comfy. The bathroom was clean and a good size. Although the room looked small at the start, I found there was plenty of space and the balcony was also a good size. The double room that a couple stayed in seemed small - only one person could pass by the end of the bed at once. The bathroom had a bath in but the balcony was about a third of size of one with single room. Although we didn't use it, the hotel bar looked good, and the lounge area was well equipped and air conditioned, which was very much welcomed after walking around in the heatwave. The only problem was the air conditioning in the double room which made a noise all the time and was not cold, no matter on the setting. The receptionist did get someone to look at it but it was still noisy. However we didn't push to change rooms which we should have done. It is near to the Duomo and only a short walk from the nearest metro. There are loads of shops/cafes/bars on the road leading up to the hotel but the rooms are quiet. We had a very enjoyable stay in Milan and we would definitely go back and stay at the Ariston.

It's really a good place to stay for a short period in Milan....it's however a three stars hotel, my room was for a single person, bigger than others that are provided from this ranhe of hotels, such as in Florence for istance... We appreciate this hotel's concern for the environment, but we found it overrated from the accommodation perspective. Location is absolutely excellent (actually on via Torino, 5 mins. walk from the Dome) and again, we trust their environmental claims are true. Otherwise, the property looks OK, service is average (or slightly below), breakfast is included but rather on the cheap side. Lots of staff, little service - the ones at the reception desk could be a bit more considerate. Besides courtesy, this hotel is also missing a ramp for the luggage (so that a valet can help you).

We had only booked at the Ariston for the first night of our arrival in Milan. Check in was listed as "the rooms are available at any time" and our room was not available until 3:00 pm. We were exhausted from our flight so our arrival was not as pleasant as we hoped; having to walk around the city and then sit in the lounge for an hour waiting for our room was unsatisfactory, otherwise the stay there was fine. There was some noise at night due to traffic and sirens but since it is located in the city it was what you might expect. Overall stay acceptable and would consider staying there again.

It was modern and comfortable with all amenities, and the ecological consideration were a plus. The one negative was that the 20 euro charge for use of the Jacuzzi was a bit pricy. The breakfast was standard, good selection of juices, cereals, chesses, cold meat, cheese, fruit, yogurt and fresh bread. Nibbles were also available in the bar area in the evening (we didn’t use them). The location was good, within easy walking distance of metro and a short walk to the Duomo and the city centre. Staff were friendly but with only one person on reception it got busy during checking out.

Bedroom and bathroom very small, with no view from window. Heating/air-con did not work well and room was too hot - even at end of October. Area noisy as on busy road, very few facilities, with bar closing early every evening. Staff on the whole unhelpful, and further from the Doumo than reported on website. On the plus, breakfast good. What would have made our stay better? Details of what to do and where to go (inc good places to eat) - particularly in the rooms, good maps of area with details of where trams go to from outside the hotel, and cards asking if guests want towels to be washed every day.

I stayed at the Ariston twice. The location is great, so close to the Duomo, La Scala and the Brera Museum. The staff is (mostly) friendly and very helpful. The rooms could use a few paint touch-ups, but were very clean. Bathrooms were spotless. My single room, though small, had a terrace! (Room 402). Breakfast was fine - nice selection of items and pleasant dining room. Had an atypical (not so Italian) meal (dinner) at Joia Leggero - probably the best service I've ever had, and it is within walking distance of the hotel.

The hotel is located into the center of the city, 10 minutes walk to Duomo. Parking is in front of the hotel, but not so many number of cars can park (better to check in as fast as possible!?). The service quality is really nice; same level as 4 star hotel. Receptionists are very warm and helpful. Great breakfast you can have (which is included into hotel fee). Only 2 thing that there are many mosquito in the room, but receptionist let to borrow pulg type bat control during my stay which they use at the front of hotel. No bite was made during the night, and had well sleep. Another is the noise of tram way (it runs just front of the hotel, and inside of Milano). I didn't care the level of noise but if you are sensitive to the noise, be careful.
