We asked for a room with bath and we get it, but there was a lot of water getting out during the shower and the toilet was completely wet. The room was wery little but clean. The breakfast was very cheap and full of packed food. We will not rest in this hotel again, sure.

This is a nice hotel, within a short walk from the Conciliazione Metro stn, so has easy access to many of Milan's attractions and to Malpensa A'port via Cadorna stn. It was also a pleasant walk to the Parco Sempione and Castello Sforzesco. The area seems to be hi-end residential, so is quite nice however there are very few bars/cafes etc. The room was small but nicely appointed. The only complaints I have are the limited and extremely slow, free wi-fi access (1hr) which wasn't made clear until after the bking was confirmed (for a pricey 4* business hotel, shouldn't this be included?); Also, despite being in a rm well away from the st, the tram noise was still quite loud. Otherwise a very pleasant stay and I would choose to return.

The hotel is very nice, excellent location and neighbourhood. the beds are tiny and if your room is on the side of the road it is noisy because of the tram.

Nice hotel, very nice staff. Beautiful decor and wooden floors. New TV in my room.Unfortunately my room was very small and it felt like a cell, which is the main reason why I'm not coming back to this hotel. Otherwise; Milan is a terribly crowded city with a trafic out of Dante's inferno, so if you are just a tourist and wish to see the highlights of Milan you're much better off staying in the historic center. for business traveller's this is spot on. Breakfast okay, but overboiled eggs the last two days sinks the good impression.

Pleasant hotel, very welcoming, some comments from other users complained of noise from the trams, our room was on the road but we did not find the noise intrusive. The breakfast was good, the room spotless and less than 20 min stroll through a park to the centre, excellent value.

In Italy the number of stars do not always live up to the expectations, but this hotel does very well deserve its four stars! Front desk personnel is very capable but not pretentious and are speaking their languages. They were amazed we carried our luggage inside ourselves! Car parking for 30 euro nearby, the liftboy came with us. Excellent furnished rooms, a bit on the small side. Excellent and nice looking public areas, only breakfast could have been a bit better. Nice courtyard. The true four star hotel experience compensates for the little bit longer walk to the centre you will need to take.

Welcoming, friendly, clean and well located hotel at a reasonable price. Reception and other staff very helpful. We had a room at the back which was quiet, but I could imagine those at the front overlooking the tram route to be noisy.

The hotel is very nice and in a beautiful neighborhood. It is a reasonably convenient location, but a prety long walk to the Duomo. The staff is efficient, helpful, and polite, but not exactly warm (more formal and businesslike). The streetcars on the block cause a lot of noise and vibration. Our room was in the back and we still heard some noise and felt the building shake at night. It was not too bad, but I think it would have been very disruptive if we were in the front of the building.

The hotel was ideally located for our purposes. The Railway station and the expresstrain to the Airport was within a walking distance. Easy to go to the centre by metro or to walk. The Last Supper was very close to the hotel. Went also to San Siro by Metro (very easy) but as coming back, as 70 thousand people pouring out from the stadium, unfortunately missed the metro station. But no worries, it was not too far to walk back to the hotel. The room we stayed in, was not too big and at least our room was decorated to be quite a dark one. But if you know that beforehand, it does not come as a suprise. And the room, sheets and towels were clean. Only downside was that on our stay we did not find a good restaurant nearby the hotel, but on the otherhand, there are plenty of them in the centre. The hotel breakfast was to my standards a good one, as seen a lot of them in 20-30 countries. To put it brifly: don´t expect a five-star hotel, but a decent three-four -star one, with a good price-quality bias. We were very satisfied with the location, and the price-quality was a good one. I´d recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.

Hotel Aristo is in an excellent location, five minutes from a metro station. It took only 10 minutes to get to the Cordona Rail Station where the 45 minute train to Malpensa, and the trains to Lake Como, depart. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast had good variety. I would be pleased to stay there again.

We stayed in March 2009, staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband fell ill while we were there and a doctor visited within 1/2 hour. We had a triple room and the size was good, quiet, only complaint was the shower leaked. Internet available - good. Great location to get to Cadorna Train Station for express train to Malpensa Airport. Would recommend it.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Great customer service, very clean and good location. 9 of 10 on the score - the only down point was that the breakfast included in the cost of the room, while being varied, was not of good quality. I do however, plan on staying in this hotel when I return for a trip next year.

Only stayed one night so not alot of input to provide. The location was nice as it was very close to the Santa Maria della Grazie. Rooms were small and we had to split up since there was not one to accomodate all 6 of us, however they placed us next door to each other. Staff was pleasant and breakfast had excellent choices. Parking wouldn't accomodate our vehicle so we had to use a garage 3+ blocks away. Rooms had a little refrigerator which was nice and shower was accomodating for my elderly mother. All in all, it was a very nice place to stay.

The room assigned to me were very noise. The shower was not well functioning. I asked to the reception for the substitution and they didn't do. The 4 star classification is too much for the general assets of the hotel. I think that 3 star is more appropriate.

Very good location, close to the subway and some of the city landmarks. Staff is friendly. We booked for St. Valentines day so it was full and maybe that was the reason it was a little bit pricey. Rooms are small, bathrooms too and even if you are on the courtyard side you will feel the vibrations from the trams on the street. Not a lot of choice on the breakfast bar. No room temperature control (the temperature was OK though) and there was no bathroom fan or it was not working. There is internet in the hotel but its on a ridiculous price. Other than that, the hotel is recommendable.

Unfortunately our stay in this hotel was marred by the sheer unpleasantness of the old (in age - name escaped us) man who was on duty at the Reception when we arrived on 8th morning after a long overnight train journey. We still made allowance for this appauling behaviour hoping he will improve. We were wrong. It became soon very clear to us that this man obviously had an attitude problem. We were not the only guests who felt that way because at first we thought he might just not like foreigners, but, this same rude behaviour was shown to our Italian friend who is a native of Milan on more than one occasion! All the other staff at the Reception and in particular in the breakfast room were very pleasant and helpful indeed.

Milan is such an odd city--I've stayed several times and never really enjoyed any of the hotels until this one. It's in a nice old neighborhood, the room was double size of other hotel rooms I've had in Milan, and the price was much better. It even has a sweet outdoor courtyard.

Very Nice hotel in a great location for the city and nightlife. Great club within walking distance - the Old Fashion Cafe. Staff were friendly and the hotel was very pleasant - everything you would expect for the money. DO NOT go to the "recommended" local restaurant for a meal. I appreciate it is the only restaurant that is close to the hotel but the food was disgusting. Really rank.

I understand that this is a big city and I cannot expect the same quality for the price that I get in a small town. However, The service left so much to be desired and the front desk help especially was atrocious. I was never greeted kindly and I never saw any of them smile. This was our daughter's first trip to Italy and her comment was, "I thought the italians were supposed to be so nice..." I was very pleased with breakfast and the garden terrace. The place was dark and cramped in the rooms and could have used a few lightbulbs. I much preferred the hotel in Malpensa on the way back out of Italy (Tre Lioni)which was as small and sparse but was made warm and inviting simply by the superb food and wonderful family that ran the place. A smile goes a long way and from now on, we will stay in Malpensa.

First visit to Milan and the hotel was in a quiet street and a good 20-30 minute walk into the center. Room was basic and pretty small but clean and quiet. No safe in room. Shower curtain didn't do it's job and the floor was soaked after each shower, also no window in the bathroom. Hotel appeared to cater for visiting business people rather than holiday makers. Nothing really bad but just didn't have any wow factor for the money.

The courtyard of the hotel is really nice, the hotel is pretty as well, nice looking, the car has to be parked near, in a garage, but the price is 30€ / night instead of 25€. the staff and the breakfast is ok and correct, the air conditoner was very loud, the room was rather smaller than I thought and very LOUD due to the traffic outside. the hotel is really near by the church ( go by feet ), who hospiates the "last supper" but you have to reservate in advance ! Milano has many shops but they offer the same brands as everywhere in big cities, no special italian style anymore....

A marvellous place to stay in Milan, though get a room that is facing the courtyard and not the street (there is a trolley line that runs late into the night). Excellent hotel! Should be 4 stars. Excellent quality-price relation. Near Cenacolo Vinciano (500m) and within walking distance to Dome/Vittorio Emanuelle - 12/15 min. Helpful staff. Room was very good, excelent breakfast (the best of my trip). I forgot my jeans at the hotel's closet and they even sent it me back for free, by express mail! Only minus was parking, that was expensive (30 euros per night, almost 1/3 of the hotel's price).

This was our first trip to Milan and the hotel was a great base. We had two rooms, joined by a private balcony, and the guy on reception was very friendly, which was excellent - even recommending a brilliant (and cheap!) restaurant for our final night in Italy. Only complaint was that as the hotel was on a fairly main road there were trams rumbling past noisily at all hours, but if you're a heavy sleeper this wouldn't be a problem at all.

My single room was comfortable and nicely designed for efficient use of space. My room was on the street side, so there was a little noise from the tram, I imagine the rooms on the inside would be quieter, you might ask if that's important to you. The staff was professional, friendly and accomodating. I thought it was a good value for a three star hotel in Milan in a good location. The surrounding area is very nice, with some good restaurants a few blocks away on via Monti and good connections for tram and metro nearby. My only complaint is that the advert on Venere said internet was included, when it is actually an extra charge. When I pointed this out, the staff did give me enough internet connection time to make good on the promise.

It was a pleasant stay. I had an interior room which was very quiet, especially considering that the cable car runs right in front of the hotel. It was a good 15-20 on foot to the city center, Duomo area. The neighborhood right around the corner was very beautiful with tree-lined streets and a couple of nice bars/cafes/restaurants as well as a few shops, etc. The price seemed a little high to me as an American, but I suppose it's about right by European standards, especially in a big, cosmopolitan city like Milano. But all things considered, I can give this hotel my recommendation and I would definitely stay there again.

No parking in the hotel but nearby streets allow overnight parking Breakfast is very nice for this type of hotel and was included in the price. The hotel is in a wonderful residential neighborhood. The Hotel is well kept and the rooms are spacious, clean, and modern. AlItalia lost our luggage and the hotel had toothbrushes, toothpaste etc in the room. We stayed at the hotel as we had only one day and were going to see "The Last Supper" which is a few blocks away. They recommended a fabulous restaurant and called to tell them english speaking guests were on their way. The waiter told us that they call ahead to tell if it is german, spanish etc. The hotel is also a short walk from the train station that runs an express to the airport. However, at the airport, no one knew that the train station was labeled on the map "station nord" and were not sure if we were going to the correct train station.

I did not have a good experience with this hotel. I had a medical problem and had a hard time convincing the manager to call a taxi. I also had to get out my travel book to show him the names of a couple of hospitals so he could tell me which was nearby and had an emergency room. Basically, what was best for him was his only concern. With all the hotels available in Milan, you probably should avoid this one.

A very nice hotel in a residential neighborhood (at least it seemed that way to me because the previous hotel I stayed in was so close to the Duomo). Unfortunately, I was there because I had an early flight out of Malpensa the next day...so I didn't get to enjoy the place as much as I would've liked. My friend though, slept in, relaxed and had, he said, a lovely breakfast. Also, a good restaurant within walking distance: Cecco (I think that was the name.)

All of my families luggage was lost for the three days that we stayed in Milan, however the employees at the Hotel Ariosto did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. The managers were very helpful in giving us suggestions for shopping and were helpful with interpreting and navigating websites as we searched for our lost bags. We really appreciated the wonderful and plentiful continental breakfast served each morning. Of our two weeks in Italy the Hotel Ariosto's breakfasts were the best.

This 3 star hotel is in a nice neighborhood and is a good bargain. If you're just spending one night in Milan after flying in to Italy, you really don't need a fancy room and might as well save some money and get a good night's sleep. The desk clerk was not as welcoming as staff at other hotels we stayed at, although he did help me look up some phone numbers to track our lost luggage and did provide a good restaurant recommendation. While the hotel had its own restaurant, it did not appear to be open on the night we stayed there (Sunday).

If you think 10 is too much, let me explain. Any type of review I read I am looking for three things: 1 - The travel style of reviewer, in my case my wife and myself looking for a place to stay for 2 nights paying a fair amount for a simple but confortable place in a decent location. 2 - If the reviewer says: Yes for would I stay there again, and in my case, the answer is a BIG YES. 3 - Reasons why: A extremely good location (suggested by a friend who lives in Milan), a please walk towards the center of the city. Good A/C (old, but works), silent streed and room, very clean bathroom and finally a very decent breakfest. Plus: free web and a "internal garden". It is simple to explain that this hotel is a very good value for money.

The main reason why we stayed here was to catch the Malpensa Express train to the airport at Cadorna station. It was only a five minute cab ride away, and very convenient. The Ariosto was an excellent choice for a hotel in Milan. The staff was friendly, and competent. We needed to get some laundry done, and wanted to use a 'fluff & fold' type facility. The front desk found one, called them confirmed their hours, and then gave excellent direction on how to get there on the tram (which stops in front of the hotel). Room was a nice size, and clean. We were on the top floor, in the front of the hotel. Street noise was not a problem. The included breakfast was fairly standard -- rolls/breads/meats/cheese/cereal, juice, fruit, coffee type. But the breakfast staff was eager to please!

I was expecting much worse, but the Ariosto was clean, comfortable, professional, and well managed. I would definitely stay there again. My single room was small, but it was also cheap.

Only stayed 1 night, but would definately stay again when in Milan. The quieter rooms overlook the courtyard. Good choice at breakfast, including cereals, hard boiled eggs, meats, cheese, breads, jams, juice, coffee, tea. Staff very helpful.

My single room in this hotel was exceptionally small and cramped. I could also here a lot of noise from other rooms. I'm very glad I was only there for one night.

Hotel room was great, very small but clean and very nice, especially for the price. Staff was not the friendliest I experienced while in Italy.

We were welcomed by reception with smiles and they were very helpful. Rooms and bathrooms were a bit small but they were very clean. Location was great (5 min walk to the metro). Overall, a very nice stay and I would return next time.

The service at the breakfast was not very frendly. At 10.15 she begans to take away the food and drinks from the breakfast.

We only spent one night but felt very welcomed. The hotel is bright, clean, modern and we found all of the employees were very friendly and welcoming. the bathroom was large and spotlessly clean. The hotel is near a metro in a pleasant residential section not far from the historic center of Milan.

I liked this small and cozy hotel, and in fact this is not my first time there. The only problem is that mobile phones are not functioning inside the hotel (there is no signal), so you suddenly find yourself cut off the rest of the world. Sometimes it is very unseful, sometimes not.

Good service, stadard breakfast. Not much to do in the vicinity, however, location three underground stops away to central Milan. Would recommend rooms at the rear of the hotel as there is a lot of vehicle cars and tram noise in the night from the front main road. One internet station is available. There is no service at the Restaurant and the bar on Sunday night.

The hotel was very nice and nearby to a subway station. However, we had a lot of trouble finding a place to eat dinner in the area. There were a great many shops, but no restaurants. The concierge recommended a place, but it was closed when we arrived. So, we had to eat at the hotel itself. The restaurant there was "fine" but it was a far cry from what we wanted for our last night in Italy.

Ariosto hotel is located in a nice, quiet, upscale neighborhood in Milan. I felt that it was a good value for the money. The staff are competent, friendly. The rooms are about standard size for European hotels (that is smaller than an equivalent room in an American hotel). Our room overlooked the courtyard so it was very quiet. The hotel is accessible by the Metro and is just a few blocks from a very nice shopping street (Corso Magenta).

Thoroughly good value for money. Very helpful & friendly staff(reception, cleaning & restaurant)very nice facilities -even passed muster with our very demanding 14yr old grandaughter!!!Lots of choice at breakfast & reception staff helped us out with restaurants/taxis etc when we arrived very late New Years day & everything appeared closed!! Room warm, spacious & clean (beds felt hard, but we slept well on them & were able to exchange pillows/blankets etc.) nothing was too much trouble & we would recommend the hotel on & stay there again.

Nice place to stay, not far from centre, clean & quiet, exellent breakfast, competent staff. Was difficult to find because the map was very approximate and many streets were missing. More detailed map would be usefull. Overall impression is very positive.

It was a bit cold at night - I would've like to have one more blanket or to have a possibility to raise a temperature within my room. An other stuff was just excellent.

The best thing about Hotel Ariosto is the location. Perfectly situated near the train station, Trade Fair and the Duomo and Sforza Castle. The staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The room comfortable. We will definately stay there again should we return to Milan.
