The bed was very hard.

The rooms were fairly clean and the location was great (right near the Duomo). However, the staff was rude and unprofessional and for that reason I would recommend staying away from this hotel.

Vacation! Ask for rooms in the opposite of the big avenue.

I will never again pick a hotel only on the price. When I came to my room the door was open and one of the towels was really dirty.

Employees should have more care and respect with guests, should behave more polite and the service in general has to be improved. Treatment to foreigners is awful.

The room was fine. The price was adecuated. The employees and the noises from inside the hotel was the worst.

Bruyant. The household had not been done completely (including furniture drawer)

The rudeness of people at the reception _the owners- especially struck me. They don't understand English, don't know what B&B means and didn't want to give us breakfast. Finally they gave us a coffee and a piece of convenience pastry. Awful!

The hotel has good location and great price. I stayed here 3 times, usually during exhibitions in Milan, when the prices of accomodation are terrible. Rooms are ok, we had always clean room. Very good access to the city center. Only one problem of the hotel, is the staff. They are all very rude. I think it´s a family run hotel and all of them are very disobliging and unpleasant. But anyway, you can ask whosever whatever on the street. So except the staff, I can recommend the hotel. Next time I will stay there again.

The staff does not know how to smile, but the rooms are clean (despite the beds, which we accuse of bedbugs!) and the info from the website is coherent with the hotel.

The receptionist was unfriendly, rude and incompetent. He didn´t pay attention and didn`t care about the needs of his guests. We will definetely not come back to this flophouse. It was a catastrophy. Please take this hotel out of your offers

Tidy and clean rooms. Convenient hotel location in Milan, town center can be easily reached by foot. However, noisy street surroundings which might warrant using some earplugs at night. Overall, good value for money.

It's a scam. Don't book it!!!! They don't say but do not have elevator and make you pay the same charged for much better hotels at the same block. When I arrived, on July 4th, went up all the stairs and didn't find a single soul to tell me what was going on and why the ad was so different from the reality. Took the hotel next door for the same price and hope they're not allowed to charge me. I'm really disapointed with it.

main problem with this hotel is the staff, they attend you like a favor, very upset, the information provided was not correctly at all, they do not speak english. best is the location, in front of bus stop and tranvia, very near to downtown. room is ok like the barhroom.

The only good thing - the location of the hotel is perfect. Do not hope to sleep well at the nights. We had a room with the sight to the inside yard. All the nights (together 5) some 5-7 crazy people (staff of the nearest restaurant and locals) made such a noise that it was impossible to sleep. That's why ask for the room with the sight to the street. The traffic noise is better.

The problem is the people who run this hotel. Expect them to laugh at you when you arrive and discover the reception is on the first floor with no elevator. You could also hear somebody saying "Aha, you have a big suitcacase and now you have to carry it upstairs on your own" while holding his stomach with his hands and laughing wildly. Be informed that cheques and credit cards are not accepted: bring some cash. The room was ok but with no heating. We asked whether it would be possible to turn on the heating and were told that it would automatically turn on when needed. Same answer when we asked the same question again after hours of cold. Oh, and there's a blanket in the closet, why do you keep asking for heating. At checkout they refused to recognize the Venere.com 4% discount until they were sure this money would be taken off Venere's commission and not detracted from their revenue. Overall decent 2star hotel in a good position between the Linate Airport and the city center, but we were happy to be out of there alive :-)

Room was small enough but I didnt require a big room as I was only in town for one night for a football match and the emphasis was on price. Happy enough with this hotel

We saw the bad reviews but stayed our one night in Milan here due to the price. This should be your only reason for staying here. The room itself was clean with everything we needed. The problems were: our room was right next to reception, 2 meters away from all the noise in the lobby and reception (the guy at reception watching tv at full volume and having a big party with his friends) At 3 o'clock in the morning the garbage truck stops right in front of the hotel and the other small trucks come and dump their load in the big truck. This went on for hours. The breakfast was not good at all, straight our of the supermarket boxes, not even fresh bread. The worst was that when we wanted to check out their credit card machine did not work and the guy at reception went on as if it was my fault. I had to go and draw money at a bank to pay him cash (for which he did not want to give discount) Hint if you want to get there by bus phone the hotel and ask them the name of the stop for the nr 60 bus, can't remember it now.
friends of 15years
Denmark, Oct 2006
Me and my friend (21 and 22 years of age)was in Milan on a holiday in October, we had one room with twin beds, they were nice. When we finally got our room, there were no towels, and the ones we got had more holes than actual towel. The bathroom was very small, but had what we needed, exept warm water the first couple of hours. It was very noisy, both from the outside traffic, and from the staff who wachted tv ALL night long, they also had a noisy bird, so don't expect to get much sleep. The distance to the center of Milan was great, it took about 15-20 min to walk in a slow pace. Some of the staff was very kind to help us to get our luggage from the airline(it was delayed 2-3 days), but they didn't inform us of many things, and they didn't seem to have everything under control. But they were nice to us, and helpful if they wanted to be. Over all a nice stay, without breakfast, served with a plate of noise on the side.

This hotel is really near to the center (about 15 minutes walking to the Duomo) and it´s cheap and clean. That are the good things. In the other hand, the people from reception is not nice at all, you have to pay 10 euro more per day if you want air-conditioned, they offer a so expensive breakfast and beds are not very comfortable. They don´t have elevator. It´s a quite good place to stay for not more than two nights.

the hotel was just alittle outside the centre l5 minutes on bus 60 from central station stops right outside the hotel. The owners were very frendly and the rooms were clean. No bar but you could buy a bottle of beer from the small reception. Very good value for money. I would stay here again.

The staff at Arco Hotel is not particularly friendly. And we were relocated to another hotel that is located quite some distance away from Arco, making our transport more inconvenient. I would not recommend this hotel because you never know where you will be relocated to...better or worse.

I only stayed for one night and the hotel had a perfect location for the purpose of my visit, very close to a venue I was going to but compared to other cities and places I stayed in I would have expected a better price/quality relationship but for my specific need and the easy reach to the train station the hotel was more than suitable.

They have accomodated in the room that appeared to be occupied. The guy at the reception was very lazy. This left aside the place pretty good.
