Went to this hotel. We had the worst room on the worst floor. The walls were dirty. The bathroom smelled funny and there was mold on the walls. The shower had nothing to do with the pictures. When we finnaly asked to be changed rooms, we were told it was too late and the hotel was full. The breaksfat the next morning was ridiculous and you can have only one hot beverage. Because everyone seemd happy at breakfast my sister went to look what the other floors looked liked, and they were much cleaner. So if you ever go there check the room first before checking in. I should maybe mention that my sister and I are black and maybe they thought we woud be less demanding, the second floor is really crappy. Was really disappointed, we paid 88 euros. The man at the desk was unhelpful and even indifferent. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed for four nights from late June. The single room was not spacious at all, but given the price quote I've got from Venere.com (Euro in the mid-50s), it was the best buy for me. PROS: Very convenient location, great price to quality, staff very helpful in general CONS: no refrigerator in room, significant noise from other rooms, room not spacious

The Amadeus hotel was perfect for our stay in Milan. Althought it is not in the centre, the metro only took us 6 minutes to get there. The only issue I had with the hotel was that they confiscated my hair straightners as a fire hazard! I certainly don't remember seeing anything about that on any of the web pages and found that to be an annoyance.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay that is near the train station, reasonably clean and modestly priced, the Amadeus is a good deal. But don't expect anything more. Staff are cold and rude, rooms tiny and they turn the air conditioning off at 11pm so the room is stifling by the middle of the night. Definatly not the highlight of my trip. But it is only 5 minutes to the central station.

The hotel did not switch on air-con until June which make room very stuffy and when window was kept open for some air to flow, the noise from outside was unbearable. The carpet was untidy and wall socket for power connection was broken which made it impossible to use my laptop. The hotel staff was very un-cooperative to the point that they could not arrange breakfast at 7:00 a.m. against their standard time of 7:15 a.m. despite making a request. The bathroom was a cubicle and will become completely wet once you use the shower. All in all, I was not at all satisfied with my stay.

Hotel was ideally situated 2 mins from stazion centrale, however lacked general appeal. Decor was aged and the room facilities were below the standard expected for a 3 star establishment. Bathroom in need of renevation, it was hard to use the shower without flooding the entire room. Certainly not feasible for the larger person! If you are looking for a place to stay for the night without frills, then this is ideal. however I wouldn't recommend this if you are travelling with your partner as the overall decor and standard are poor.

Saludos, y buen viaje

There are two problems with the hotel: The 1st is the bathroom (maybe only the room I had), which is one-step up with a free-standing shower that wets the entire bathroom. The 2nd is do not use any stairwell that has a door. If you do, you end up in the courtyard without a way out.

The Manager of the Hotel is non-cooperative.. The breakfast is very small/less.. The maintainance of the hotel is poor.. Friends/visitors MUST be allowed to visit the hotel guests in their rooms because MOST of us who come there for BUSINESS want to discuss seriously and therfore have to invite our guests to the rooms to say show samples or to entertain etc... We took the train to Milan, so we were happy the hotel was so close, especially with our heavy packs. It was about 1/2 block to the hotel. When we walked in, we were greeted by a strange guy working the desk. I don't think he liked the fact that we had backpacks. He checked our passports, but wouldn't give them back. He said he needed to hang on to them for about 20 minutes. I know it doesn't take that long to write down our information. I asked if we could have our passports back. He said he would give them back, but he wouldn't be able to give us the key to the room. So, we reluctantly took the key and went upstairs. We came back down about 20 minutes later so we could go out. I asked him for the passports. He wouldn't give them to me unless I gave him the key. So, apparently it's some kind of trade system. You trade the passport for the key. I gave him the room key and we left. When we returned, he let us have the key without taking the passports. Maybe they have a problem with key theft. The only reason I say this, is because the key is attached to an orb like object that weighs about 1 pound. It's not the easiest thing to carry around in your pocket. The room was decent and clean. It was a little larger than the average European room. The bathroom was also very clean. However, there was no shower curtain or shower enclosure. So, when you showered, you got the toilet all wet. Maybe they want to save money on water and discourage showering. I don't know. The hotel is located on a busy street which is noisy all night. I read some other reviews of hotels in Milan, and they complained it was noisy in their hotels also. Maybe it's a Milan thing. We were only there one night. The place wasn't that bad, all things considered. If we didn't have that weird clerk guy helping us, I would probably wouldn't have any complaints at all.

We did not stay in the Amadeus because it was overbooked. We selected Amadeus because of its close proximity the the train station. After walking to Amadeus, Amadeus told us they had a room for us at the Demidoff Hotel, about 1 km away. Amadeus called a cab and said they would pay for it. There was a miscommunication with Amadeus and the cab driver and he got very angry after I gave him the voucher. He threatened to call the police and have me arrested. My wife ran into the Demidoff and brought out the manager who paid the cab driver. The room was 3 star adequate. Demidoff would not pay for the cab back to the train station the next morning. Amadeus is treating your clients like 2nd class citizens. Craig Jacobsen

A very basic budget type hotel. Room was small as was the bed. But for the price it's what i exspected, one bonus is it's good location. Being close to the Central station is a plus, although the huge gathering of drunks outside the central station can be a little off putting! The breakfast was fine for the price that you pay. tened cuidado porque en Italia existe una ley que prohibe subir a amigos o cualquier otra persona que no esté como titular en la habitación. Por lo demás el hotel está bastante bien

Great hotel - great location - minutes walking from the train station with the subway very accessible. Room was very spacious for such a great price. Desk staff was great and recommended a fabulous restaurant.

"Please trust me when I say "don't stay at this hotel"!. I would like to firstly point out that I spent a number of hours carefully planning and reading web reviews etc on where to stay for my trip to Milan. I arrived back yesterday after a very stressful time at the hotel Amadeus. I stayed two nights only. The rooms are very basic clean but of run-down appearance. There are no facilities in room other than shower/hair dryer/toilet. Max was friendly on arrival; however Giovani & Mirko, both front desk duty managers are a different story!! It started on my last night in Milan, I went to a restaurant to treat my partner to a meal (I had been away all day on business an hour by train outside of Milan). I gave my credit card to the waiter to pay for the meal only to have it returned to me 5 minutes later with the waiter trying to explain that the card was not accepted. I paid cash. I was concerned by this and went back to hotel and contacted my card company to find out what was up. It turned out that the Hotel Amadeus had two pending transactions (Authorization code for each) on my card which meant my credit limit had been reached. Basically they charged my card twice for the room. (incidentally, it now becomes apparent why my credit card was not accepted in the ticket machine at the train station!!) I then went down to the front desk at around 10pm where the very bad mannered, unhelpful ill-equipped and totally in the wrong job Giovanni was there. I explained to him the problem but he didn't want to know, he then ignored me and dealt with other guests. I asked for the manager's name and he refused to give. I eventually gave up and decided to leave it till the next morning but to my shock I received the same treatment again by Mirko the now on duty manager. There is no reason in the world why this hotel needed to have two pending charges to my card both for the full amount of my bill two days before I check out. If my card had only one of these pending charges as this H

I had a great trip in Milan which was my first in November. With only 42 Euro I expected that the room would be small and has limited facilities. I was totally wrong!!! I had spacious double bed, nice shower - it was perfect! For those of you who could not decide where to stay in Milan, just picked Amadeus. It is one of the Comfort chain hotels, just 5 mins walk from Central Station, the hub of the shuttle bus from the airport to Milan. The Metro is only 50m from the hotel so you can reach Piazza Duomo for shopping after four stops only! ~Lara, Asian traveller~

My room faces the street and is very noisy, bathroom is terrible. Although I’ve booked for 2 nights, I’ve only stayed one night and move to other hotel.

Easy to find. I just needed a quiet hotel for 1 night in Milan near the train station. This placed worked out great. The breakfast was good. The staff friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Location excellent. Double room excellent but 2 singles not so spacious. Had to wait for table for breakfast; it was not cleared and we had to move crockery etc ourselves. There were only 2 members of staff and they obviously could not cope with the number of guests they were trying to serve. The breakfast area was very cramped and the food was fine if limited (coffee and hot chocolate excellent.) We had an early flight but could not be offered breakfast before 6.30. This is reasonable but pastries could be offered on departure to take to airport if guests have to leave before 6.30. A pack-up has always been offered at other hotels we have stayed in.

A three minute walk to the train station; avoid rooms facing the street because it holds heavy traffic all day long.

The Hotel Amadeus is very well located for people needing easy access to the Milano central train station, and there is also a metro station nearby to provide quick access to the main tourist sites. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel for the price I paid by booking with venere.com.

We had a room with window above the main street. We couldn't sleep well as it was really loud. The receptionist didn't tell us about the breakfast, so we didn't know. There was no general information about the hotel in the room.
