An older hotel that needs updating. The staff were very accommodating to provide early breakfast since we needed to catch an early train the next day.

Air-conditioning didn't work, so room was extremely hot. The location is very noisy, so couldn't even open the windows to sleep. The staff, at first claimed it was broken, but on the last day told me they weren't allowed to use the aircon. When aircon is listed as a feature of a hotel, it is very disappointing to pay for it but not have it! The fridge in the room was also out of order, and was not repaired. Location is good for the station (and hence for sight seeing). But the area is a bit tatty and didn't feel that safe (although we had no problems). Staff were friendly and helpful, spoke very good English. Breakfast buffet was OK (limited selection of fruit though). A number of OK restaurants in the neighbourhood too.

Very good place to stay to visit the city. At 20 minutes walk from Duomo, and very good subway connections. We travelled with a 7-months old baby, and the size of the room was perfect.

Very clean and confortable.Rich breakfast and very helpful and nice staff. Location very close to the Central station (plenty of rent a car agencies: interesting prices)and Buses'Terminals to/from any airports or destinations, metro and of course taxis at any time. No problem to move anywhere easily.Perfect stay.

It is close to the train station and that s about it! Nothing else work, No hot water, TV set doesn't work, No Air-conditioning so the noisy street become your ONLY entertainment with the window open! Defintely not a 3*, hostel would be a better word! Never again!!!!

We stayed at this hotel two years ago and found its location close to the Central Station very convenient and transport into the city centre easy, so chose to use this hotel again. My only complaint is that although the room was clean, the carpet needed a thorough cleaning.

This was my first time in Milan, and in Hotel Albert. I travelled with my mother. The hotel was really close to the Central Station, so we can walk to there. The room was clean, and tide up every day. The recepcionists wasn't very kind, or helpful. The breakfast was very good, the croissants and the cafe is marveillous.:)

What this hotel offers is a good location for anyone wanting to be close to the station. I would recommend it on that basis and it was clean, pleasant and comfortable. Breakfast could have offered more choices.

We needed a comfortable hotel near the train station, so we could catch our early train to Verona on the next morning, and the Hotel Albert did not disappoint. Clean, comfortable, friendly and completely convenient for the train station. Tip: I got the shuttle bus from the airport to the train station quite late at night. The train station has two exits (which I didn't realise), and the bus drops you at the exit furthest away from the hotel. I made the mistake of walking through the underpass which runs alongside the train station, which was a bit creepy; I recommend you walk through the train station itself if it is open - the exit nearest to the hotel is less than a minute's walk away from the hotel.

Location is great. Right next to the railroad station and very easily accessible. If you take the bus from the airport, the Albert is on the other side but easily accessible under the RR station by a well lit road and sidewalks. Felt very safe using it in the early morning. With the window open the room was very noisy because of the street below but when the window was closed it was very quiet. Breakfast was simple but good and the coffee was excellent.

Although generally the room was very clean, the carpet was badly in need of a thorough vacuum. A leak from the airconditioner was reported on our first day, but was not fixed. The internet access did not work for the 5 days we stayed despite assurances that it would be fixed.

The location of this hotel is within a stone's throw of the train terminal making it very convenient. During the day the outside neighborhood was fine, but I would not walk around at night alone. Approximately 30 meters from the hotel was a great little restaurant. The room was good value for the money and since I only stayed one night a decent value. Breakfast was meager and the coffee was cold and it was hard to find someone to help you.

Room size, cleanliness, furnishings, excellent. Very convenient location. Excellent air conditioning important to me because of outdoor temperature. Breakfast included in stay good. Poor mattress my main issue. WiFi(for me)/Internet access not included in rate was characteristic as well for 4 of 5 Italian hotels on this travel. Wifi access rate adds considerably to travel expense.

The hotel is really great: very rich free breakfast; very nice and helpful employees (they told me any information about the city); a very silent, clean and confortable room; very close to any bus (airport/trains/ trips), to the underground and the motorway.I really enjoied my stay and will surely be back. Thank you!

The hotel is a good option for a short stay, e.g. one or two nights for a business trip. The surrounding area didn't feel safe especially at night, as it's on a street behind the central station. I saw lot of dodgy characters walking about and I only stayed one night! I wouldn't stay there if it was for a holiday.

I booked this hotel with the intention of staying near the station, in a less expensive place to save money. I found the service of the night receptionist to be among the poorest I've had, and I travel about 20% of the time for my job. He couldn't find my reservation made with Venere, kept me standing there for 30 minutes while I waited for him to figure it out. Then when I came back he was playing on google and kept me waiting for my key for another 20 minutes. Completely unprofessional, unwelcoming. The room was generally clean aside from a curly hair left on the sink when I entered the room, yuck! The breakfast was good and the morning staff and breakfast room staff were very nice. Still it's hard to give this hotel more than a 2/10--even given the inexpensive cost, because my time is worth money too and the service from that fellow was very poor.

If ever you need to stay in a street full of hooligans and have to clutch you bag tightly after 6.00 p.m. and have a huge amount to spend on taxis to reach your hotel, stay here. per say no issues with the hotel but with its location.

This spot was good value for the price. It actually exceeded my expectation so that was a nice surprise. The breakfast was delightful. Bathroom was clean and newly appointed. The room, despite being across from the train station was well soundproofed and the location was very handy for the train and the bus to Malpensa airport. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

The Hotel was essentially as described on Venere. It was next to the railroad station but distance depended on which exit from the station you took. The closest exit was less than a five minute walk, easily accomplished even with luggage. I had some traveling problems with Eurail and the desk clerk was very helpful in solving the problems. There was no Internet in the Hotel but several Internet cafes were within two blocks walking. I had dinner at the restaurant next to the hotel, and it was of indifferent quality. I had spaghetti and probably should have had the 'recommended' fish. Overall I was very satisfied with the hotel and would use it again. I ddefinitely will use Venere for accomodations in Europe.

We just stayed in this place for a night so we didn't really have much time to get familiar with the hotel facilities. For a short stay traveler we think this is good enough to match the price and the location is ideal for train travelers.

Hotel is very close to train station/metro line(10 mins to piazza duomo) which is excellent. The area around hotel is a bit dodgy but the hotel itself was very good. The staff were very helpful and polite and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The single room was a bit on the small side but was cosy and beds were very comfortable. Would stay there again as the price was v. reasonable compared to Milan prices.

The Hotel is at the center of Milano very near the central train station. There is a parking which is a great advantage if you have a car. The hotel was much better than I was expecting for the price, very luxuous and the rooms were very quiet, spacious and comfortable. This is a 3-star hotel as good as it gets and the price I paid (55 euros/double room) for a night, inluding a good breakfast was pretty cheap. Really this hotel is my best bet on Venere so far, and I travel regularly in hotels across Europe.

One of the staff members at the reception is not italian and loses patience right away if the client does not find the words to express himself. Staff does not speak English!! The parking lot where the guests of the hotel can park their car (26 euro for the night) is not safe, because they cut the tyres with a knife during the night!!!! Who knows what would have happened if we had left the car in front of the hotel itself??!!

It is a clean hotel with friendly staff and spacious rooms. The problem is the area of the hotel. It's situated next to the central station which is why so many dangerous people come and go in front of the hotel. A parking lot next to the hotel is a welcoming spot for prostitutes and junkies at night. The view is not great either, and sometimes, if you leave the window open, you can clearly hear the notices for the trains (this is why they are soundproofed!). Apart from the above, the quality of the rooms matches the price and you can have a great vacation, unless you decide to walk alone or drunk in this area at 2 am!

The hotel was definately worth the price. The location was very convienant and allowed our family to venture off and come back very easily due to the central location. There was a resturant "Carlos" that was excellent, the food was a bit pricy compared to others but worth it. Make sure you explain exactly what you want to the staff, we came for shopping and not high dollar, they pointed us in the wrong direction but overall a great day. Bring your own lotion and kleenex the hotel doesn't offer any. The room looks exactly like the picture! We wondered was it the only one, regardless if we returned we would look here first.
