Please be aware this is NOT a 4 star hotel, the rooms are tiny, and very old as are the public spaces. The ad stated there would be bikes available for use, and as a cyclist this was why I rented the room. Upon arrival we were told there were no bikes free (they only have two!) the next day we did get them but they were so old, broken, flat and dangerous it was a major hassle to even get them going. They charged us money for a map of the city - even though it was a sponsored map with ads all over the actual map section. Internet was very expensive - COME ON HOTELS INTERNET IS NOT A LUXURY IT NEEDS TO BE A STANDARD INCLUSION We were also charged for our bags to be held after we checked out until we left for the airport. All in all I was very unimpressed and would not stay here or recommend it to others - the Weston is next door stay there!

Location of the hotel is very good, close to subway and not far from Central Station. The staff is very polite and helpful and speak good English. The room was not very big, the AC worked well. The main minus was that the room was dark as it was not possible to open the shutters. Not bad breakfast. The hotel has a shuttle van so you could easily arrange transfer to the airport or Central station.

A good hotel not far from the station, lacking a bit of personality, but efficient. Make sure you go to breakfast early as the dining area is very small and you may end up waiting a long time for a table.

very nice hotel, located perfectly for people who come to milan by train (near the station) and want a place to stay near the centre. Friendly and helping staff. very clean, but also very small room. the highest possible price per night must have been a joke... it was arount 300 €... for that, the room would've been far to small. there was a bed, a small table a wardrobe and a small bathroom with a narrow shower.

The showers were very small and the room was quite noisy. The location was good to walk in to central Milan.

The hotel was close to the train station and the subway stop, but was quite a distance from the main downtown areas (the Duomo, etc.) Unfortunately, as we were there in August almost all the local restaurants were closed, but we did manage to find a place to eat. The staff were excellent, especially the afternoon desk clerk who was cheerful and friendly at all times, even when he was suffering from what was clearly a very painful tooth abcess. The breakfasts were incredible - absolutely the best we had in Italy, with a wide variety of food and made to order lattes, expressos or cappucinos. And the woman who runs the breakfast room is amazing - she never stopped running - making coffees, putting out fresh food, clearing tables - and all with a big smile.

The hotel was conveniently located, as it was near a metro station which was only one or two stops from the centre. The room was a reasonable size for a city hotel. Breakfast was good. My husband particularly liked the fact that he could have toast!

Nice hotel. Clean. Great location. The staff was very nice, very helpful. The breakfast is bountiful and varied. Wireless coverage was too weak to use. Spent my time connected in the lobby. Tiny TV but, who cares? The room itself was nearly as big as a room we had occasion to visit in the top rated Principe, just up the street. But the shower! The shower was so small it was nearly impossible to use! I'm 6'3", 240 and had to turn sideways to get in. Once I was in I spent the entire time banging my elbows against the glass. The other issue we had is hard to blame on the hotel. We stayed for five days and twice during our stay, at 6AM a garbage truck planted itself below our window and crushed trash for 15 noisy minutes! There was just no sleeping through it! All in all, not a bad place.

In some months of the year, you can find very convenient offers for a stay in Baviera Hotel. The quality of the hotel is very good (real ****) and the location excellent (metro) although not in the very city centre (duomo). Good breakfast in a somewhat smaller room. Internet only at the reception (extra payment with cards).

I have stayed at many hotels in Milan but this hotel is one of my favarites! The taxi service from hotel to the Central Station was expensive but other things are very good! I'd like to stay at this hotel again. From the Central Station to this hotel by taxi, it costs 5.50 euro. You can find a taxi easity around the hotel when you want to go to the Central Station, so you don't have to ask the front. (It will cost 9 euro)

Ideally situated for a visit to Milan unless you need to be in the centre of the City. You need to be able and willing to walk 15 minutes into town, though there are adequate trams, buses and taxis if you are lazy. The rooms were adequate but small. The staff friendly and willing to answer any query. Speak a little Italian to them, smile and they will bend over backwards to assist. Breakfast was surprisingly good in comparison to other Italian hotels and for the price.

The welcome by the staff was excellent, both verbally by the receptionist and by the porter who took our bags taken up to our room; and all the staff spoke embarassingly good English. Great location as well - 2-3 minutes to the Metro station (Republicca); walkable into town (albeit a 15 min walk); also some cafes nearby for early morning / latenight coffees or beers, including one very cool bar just down the roa; and the main public park was opposite. Only one downside was that because it is so close to the main road (although a block back from it) you can still hear the rumble of the road in the morning and mid-evening, which I guess might be more of an issue for light sleepers who sleep with the window open. Didn't try the air conditioning but I would guess it would've worked a treat! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I went to Milan with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. We wanted everything to be perfect. I must admit I was a bit disappointed. The room we got was so small that you have no choice but lie on the bed! The window was hided behind the bathroom wall so there was no day-light coming in. The bathroom was no different! It was difficult to wash the toes as there is no space to bend your body! You can forget about having a shower with your partner! After we complained we got different room for the second night. It was a little bit bigger. At least the window was there. Bathroom big enough, however, you have only light above the sink and toilet but not in the corner where there is bath. I found it very frustrating. I would never thought this was a **** hotel. In contrast, the staff was very nice and helpful; and the breakfast lovely! Wybralismy sie do Milan aby swietowac urodziny. Chcielismy zeby wszystko wypadlo pomyslnie. Niestety zawiedlismy sie troche. Pokoj ktory dostalismy byl strasznie maly, ze bylismy zmuszeni lezec w lozku caly czas! Okno schowane za sciana od lazienki. Wiec zadne promienie sloneczne nie padaly do srodka. Lazienka rowniez malutka.

During our trip to Italy we stayd at four hotels, three of which were recommended by users at Venere. All of the hotels through Venere were very good, and Hotel Baviera was definitely the best of them all. The breakfast was excellent, and the rooms were very tidy and well equipped. There was even a doorman to bring the bags up to the room for us. The quietness of the rooms was a big plus, as I have difficulty sleeping (I used ear plugs at all the others). I found the user ratings to be a very accurate and a good guide for choosing accomodation. Thanks to the users for providing good comments :)

It's a very nice 4-star boutique hotel in a good location in Milan. Just a block away from the Republica metro station, the hotel is very convenient for sightseeing and shopping on the Corso Buenos Aires. Much quieter surroundings than hotel row near Stz Centrale. Breakfast is standard but very nice - yogurt, cereal, cakes, croissants, bread, cold cuts, hard boiled eggs. The self-serve fresh-squeezed orange juice machine is great! Unfortunately, hotel doesn't have wifi, only dialup. But fortunately it's vacation so it was actually nice to be unplugged. Bathroom was small but very clean.

Nice hotel, had a quiet interior single room. And it was a small single, OK to sleep in but basically a closet. But everything else about the hotel was fine. Also contrary to other comments, it is easy to find the hotel - Metro to Repubblica, look for the Westin. Facing the Westin, just take the small side street that runs on the right side of the Westin, the hotel is right there.

The hotel is on a corner of two narrow streets and does not therefore have the traffic noise of the main drags. It is very handy to two metro stations which take you to the Piazza Duomo and other main tourist areas, as well as the main train station, and can provide a hotel car to take you to places such as La Scala and the train station. The rooms are not large but comfortable, and the breakfast is more than satisfactory. There are cafes and food stores nearby. Should I return to Milan, I would stay there again.

The Baviera is an excellent place to stay. It is in walking distance of the Stazione Centrale and the city centre is only a short walk away through the Giardini pubblici. The staff speak good English and are very helpful. They checked the times and costs of the train journey to Lake Como for us. (Only 1 hour away and an essential trip for first-time visitors to Milan). The rooms are furnished well and the buffet breakfast lives up to its reputation. The hotel is a little distance from the train station, but still walkable. I 'm not sure how close it is to the sights, as Milan was only a stopover location for us. However, the hotel is absolutely wonderful. It was an excellent value for the price paid. This room was a very nice size, the front desk staff both in the last evening when we arrived, and in the morning when we left were very nice and helpful. The neighborhood is not the best at night but I didn't feel completely unsafe while trying to find somewhere to eat dinner. The breakfast was one of the best breakfasts that were included in all the hotels in Italy that we stayed in. We were in a rush to get back to the train station after getting up a little late, and the hotel offers a taxi service back to the train station for 9 euros. I felt this was very reasonable. All in all, if we ever go back to Milan, we will most likely stay at this hotel again!

For the price I paid, I think I got a good deal (comparing to the other hotels I had stayed at in other Italian cities). I stayed on the weekend, so may be that is why the price was 69 Euros - as it seemed to be a nice hotel, but that area (by the train station) on the weekend is dead! The hotel room was clean, but did smell of smoke. This was when I realized there was no option to request a non-smoking room. Overall, I really did LIKE the hotel and their INCLUDED breakfast. and everyone was really nice! One snag was that they advertise a SHUTTLE service to the airport, but it turned out to be a taxi and obviously when they said 80 Euros I was taken aback, and said that I can walk (20 minutes) to the train station to catch the Malpensa shuttle for 5 Euros!

We really enjoyed our stay there it was very clean and fairly quiet. The AC worked well so you could keep the windows closed but there was some in house noise on the 2nd floor. Doors slamming pipes etc. But it was bearable. The staff was helpful and courteous however we tried to get info to take our eurorail pass to lake Como and got steered in the totally wrong direction. If you need to use your eurorail pass always leave from Milano Centrale. They shpuld've know that. Aside from that i would recommend this place. The price was great for the quality.
