Admiral Hotel, founded in 1972 by Luigi Dell'Orto, is a 4-star hotel in Milan, exceptionally located just 10 minutes by underground from the centre of Milan, the new exhibition center Rho and San Siro Stadium. Admiral Hotel is the closest 4-star hotel to the congress center and to the Fieramilano City exhibition center.

I made a reservation on the first of April 2009 knowing that I was going to Milan for U2 concert along with 90,000 other people. When I made the reservation the room was still at a cheap price since word of the concert had not gotten out. The credit card that I had used to hold the reservation was compromised in June and the credit card company had cancelled my current card and reissued me a new one. I had completely forgotten that I had made the reservation with the old card and to send the new cards numbers. Upon arriving to the hotel the day of the concert the manager told me that there were problems running the card and had given away my room. He said that he had tried to call me several time the day prior but only received a busy signal. My cell phone did not ring once that day and I was never on it, so it couldn't have been busy. I then asked if he tried to e-mail me, firmly showing him my e-mail address right below my phone number on the reservation sheet that he had. He said no, that he just tried to call. He then told me that he would find a solution to the problem and started to call other hotels in the area looking for rooms. Luckily a group of people came in about that time that had held three rooms and only needed two of them and we got one of the rooms. I know that the Hotel manager straight up lied to my face. He never once tried to call me, if he had got a busy tone I think that he would have sent me an e-mail if he truly cared. He knew that if he sold my room at the last minute, on the night of a concert, that he could charge double or triple the price that I would pay, since I made my reservation way in advance. He did give me free parking for my troubles, but if the couple with the extra room would not have shown up I would have been truly screwed over.

front person in the afternoon and night was very unhelpfull and internet was charged when it was written as free on the net.. also they have made several mistakes on the invoice.. their mistakes not mine but they got annoyed.. and expressed to me ha! was staying in Milano for 5days but after the booked dates I have moved to another hotel.. Unpleasant staying it was..

The ad said personnel spoke English. Only some English was spoken and not very well. Any time there was a problem with the room air conditioning, the answer was "No speak English". I would never stay at this hotel again and asked for a discount because the air conditioning would not work. They said no.

Everything was as you would expect, nothing fantastic but everything quite satisfactory. The only drawback i can see with the hotel is the location. It is quite a walk from the hotel to the centre, also the hotel is near a train station, but it is not the central station and you will need to change trains or get the metro to the hotel.

Not a 4 star hotel, but maybe a 3 star. Good location, as tram was across the street, and a 15 minute journey into the centre of town. Front Desk recommended Osteria del Borgo Antico restaurant - go there. It was very good value for money, and the food was excellent. It is approx 10 minutes walk from hotel. Room was noisy in the morning, as traffic was busy outside our room.

Excellent service, good sized rooms and a short tram-ride to the old city. The tram goes directly to the duomo. We also got an extra room since they could not give a babycot as requested. This was no extra cost. For just 70 Euro pr. night, this was a bargain! Love to go again.

Gutes Hotel, Super Preis und Leistung. War auch nahe am San Siro Stadion und der Stadtmitte. Barkeeper war Weltklasse immer zur stelle und es fehlte nicht am Nachschub... :-) Super (Pay) TV Angebot in der Lobby.

Great hotel, fantastic value, train station 1 minute up the road that gets to the metro in 5 minutes, the breakfast ain't brilliant but for the money its all good, and the staff were a good laugh.

The Admiral is actually a 3* hotel, not 4, but a very nice one at that. The hotel is nice and clean and staff were nice and helpful. Good location because you can take the train to the city center. The only snag is that rooms facing via Domodossola are pretty noisy because of the traffic and the trams. But generally a good place to stay and there is a nice breakfeast / sandwitch place on the same block.

Particularly, on the website, 24hr internet access in the rooms were guaranteed. This was not the case.Though employees are competent, communication in English was difficult.Additionally, except for breakfast, meals are not served in the hotel, and one has to find meals outside of the hotel...not too good, should be a one-stop affair. Again for the Double room which I used, I expected a big bed instead of small twin beds. However, altogether, the accommodation was fair, but needs additional improvement.

Excellent stay, highly recommended choice. The price/quality relationship was particularly advantageous, great accomodation for a very reasonable price. Service was ok and employees were kind and helpful. ONLY 1 PROBLEM: we booked the 35 Euros transfer to the airport when checking out, but it never turned up, so we asked the employee to get us a proper taxi - we even saved 10 Euros!

By car
From highway A1 Milano-Bologna, take the road tangenziale ovest, exit at Milano Certosa and follow the indications to Fiera and then to the hotel.
By train
From Milano centrale railway station, take tram 1 or 33 to the hotel. It is also possible to take the green underground line to Cadorna and change to any train going to Domodossola, which is very close to the hotel.
By airplane
From Linate airport, take the bus directly to the Domodossola stop.
From Malpensa airport, take the express train to Cadorna and change to the underground going to the Domodossola stop or, if possible, take the train directly to Domodossola.
