The staff are very slow in giving clean towels. That took them an entire day to give clean towels.

Its ideal for student or budget travellers which many of the guests were. They charge $200 security deposit on check-in..which was duly refunded on check-out. But it was a surprise to be hit with it and kind of intimated that guests were given to partying and doing damage to rooms. Very basic indeed. But location is superb. Not a good choice for business traveller though.

Room Details

The hotel features 64 comfortably appointed guestrooms, including spacious Penthouse rooms with one king or two queen-size beds and panoramic bay windows offering spectacular city views.

Standard room amenities include a newly renovated private bathroom, satellite TV, telephone with voice mail and data port, compact refrigerator, alarm clock, safety deposit box, and individually controlled air conditioning.

Penthouse rooms also offer a separate work area with second phone/fax/data line.

Many standard rooms overlook the hotel's private garden.

Follow signs to 836 East. Go through the tollgate and follow Miami Beach 395 signs. Take the Causeway into Miami Beach, which becomes 5th Street. Continue straight ahead until 5th street ends at Ocean Drive or until Collins Avenue, just one block before. Turn Left. The President hotel is on Collins Avenue and 14th, on the right hand side.
