good service from the staff. the room was clean just the first day, after a conplaint they've just clean a little bit but it was still a poor service of housekeeping. the swimmingpool is very small

The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly, but that is where the service stopped. The room service was appalling: - there was a dirty bath mat hung on our balcony when we checked in and it was still there when we checked out 5 days later - room service never actually did anything except make the bed, empty the rubbish bin and remove all towels (regardless of whether you had requested this or not - so much for them trying to help the environment). - Every day they would take all bath towels, bath mat, face washers, hand towels and bath robes but only leave a pile of bath towels behind. When I complained about this, they simply came back while we were out to dinner and dropped a huge plastic bag full of towels on our basin! What is with that?? - Soaps and toiletries were never replaced unless we called reception and requested it - Mini bar and snacks were never restocked for our entire 5-day visit - They never cleaned anything in the room - ie rubbish on the tables etc. or even wipe down the coffee table which was dirty. The rooms were very spacious and modern, and we loved the pool. But the rest of our stay was really disappointing. We expected some noise, but probably weren't quite prepared for doof-doof music until 4am and then garbage and delivery trucks below our window at sunrise. One of these I can deal with, but not both! Also, I realise the two restaurants at the front of the hotel are not affiliated with the Strand but something really needs to be done about the aggressive "hosts" who hound you every single time you walk past. The positioning of our room meant that we had to pass one of the restaurants every time we wanted to go to the main hotel building and/or swimming pool. Without fail, one of the hosts would be shoving their menu in our face and following us down the footpath every time, even if I had walked past them only 2 minutes earlier. it was worse than anything we experienced elsewhere on Ocean Drive. You would think

We spent 4 days at the Hotel The Strand Ocean Drive. The location is exellent. The shore is nearby. Eating is nearby. Versache Casa Casuarina is next building. In US we found shower with flexible tubing for the first time. It is very pleasant. We came there on Friday and the night was full of bum-bum-bum. In short if you want rest at night this is not your place. But the other days it was not so noisy. We like the hotel and will stay here next time.

After exiting the airport, turn left toward NW 42nd Ave/N Lejeune Rd. Take the S Lejeune/SR-836 W ramp to Coral Gables, then follow signs to merge onto NW 42nd Ave/N Lejeune Rd. Bear right to merge onto SR-836 E via the I-95/SR-836 E ramp to Downtown. Continue on I-395 E, over the MacArthur Causeway and onto 5th St. Turn left at Ocean Drive.
