A typical miami beach-run-down-budget hotel, okay for a few nights but not more. the location is great...but thats it. Very unprofessional service according to credit card payments.

MEMORIAL WEEKEND VISIT! If you're looking to have fun on your vacation then San Juan is the place to stay. During Memorial weekend the place is like a giant dorm cause there is a party on every floor in just about every room. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. The rooms were kinda small and old but THE NEW BATHROOMS ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! It's also located in a great spot close to the beach and all of the parties along the strip. So over all if you looking for fun San Juan would be a good choice.

Location is excellent between Lincoln and 17th. Late check-in was no problem (really late - 11:30 pm). Valet parking was $25 overnight. It took 15 minutes to return the car, but otherwise ran smoothly. Mind the $39 fee for checking out after 11am. Overall, good value at $109/night for weekend nights. (Props to Venere - Other sites had it for $120.) As always, you get what you pay for. The room was mostly the expected condition for the price. Clean but older furniture that was a little worn. Obviously painted several times over since it was last remodeled. One set of the jalousie windows didn't close properly and let in a bit of street noise. The other window had been replaced and worked well. There were also some surprises. The pleasant surprise was the beautifully remodeled bath with a heavy glass shower door, glass lavatory bowl sink, dual-flush toilet and nice tile. The temperature of the hot water in the shower left a bit to be desired, but in Miami that's not really a big deal. Interesting was a separate kitchen area with very basic electric burners, a plastic countertop, sink and mini-fridge. Not very useful without dishes or utensils, and most rooms probably don't have this. The front desk was generally friendly and helpful, even when checking in at 11:30pm or responding to a question after getting in from clubbing at 4am. They willingly corrected a couple of errors on the bill upon request, though changes to my reservation I made by phone before checking in were not entered correctly. Tipping the maid $5 did not seem to result in a visible improvement in cleaning. I did not use the pool, coin laundry or hotel WiFi. Other travelers may be interested to know there is very little space around the pool, so it is not well suited to just hanging out. The San Juan was a great find if you want inexpensive, clean and comfortable. Do not stay here if you want a fabulous hotel experience.

The airport bus drops you off opposite the hotel for $2.45 each (exact change). The hotel has brand new bathroooms and paint. The air con is on 24/7. We got cold so turned off our air vent. Opposite is a nice cafe for breakfast, croissants, omelettes etc for $4.00 - 7.00 ea. Had a name like an ice cream. The French patisserie further along Collins ave next to Walgrens was more expensive and not as fresh. Great location, great beach, great price. Would go again.

The stay at this hotel was decent and as expected for the price - no surprises, and we didn't want to pay $200/night when we were going to be busy away from the hotel. This is a typical hotel for young people, so there was after hours noise with rooms full of people up late and a bit noisy. Ear plugs are the key here. Bathroom was clean enough, but why can't they do caulking right so it doesn't look so messy? We thought there was a fridge and micro in the room, but we got a 2 burner stove instead and learned after we had needed to request the room with a microwave per the website. We had to borrow a pan to heat water etc. for the a.m. and the fridge was handy. HOWEVER, with all this that makes a decent stay if you just need a room, shower and an active vacation - I came back with bites all over my body. A trip to the dermatologist confirmed bug bites of an unknown source, and I determined the source was the room - whether bed bugs, or other who knows. Both my sister and also laid on the floor for our morning stretches as well. I was unable to discuss this with the manager after returning home to let them know, and to let them know I felt compelled to warn future guests. If not for the bites, the room was just fine, convenient location for Lincoln Road Mall activities and to the beach, and good price.

We stayed 3 nights at the San Juan Hotel in Miami Beach. Though the hotel is not badly located, it is not situated in the most attractive places. Beware: there is no parking at the hotel and 24 hours cost 16 dollars in the closest parking. The room is pretty small and a little dirty, espcially the washrooms that were, I must say, rather disgusting. In order to sleep well, you should not be disturbed by light: there is a massive hole between the door and the floor!!!! The nights were pretty chilly in the room. Still, the relationship price/quality is not bad, but again, don't be too fancy if you choose this hotel!

There is construction going on next to the hotel, so we changed rooms. Since it's South Beach, we weren't in the room that much but when we came home around 2am, the people next to us were LOUD and the walls are very, very, VERY thin. There were 8 people staying in one room and we had to call the front desk. After 2 hours, they finally shut up. I would recommend this hotel for the Spring Break crowd or heavy sleepers. Not a good place for families or a romantic weekend. The location was excellent. Close to shopping, nice restaurants, the beach, and all kinds of cool deco places. Next time I'll pay more and stay at a nicer place, but it was perfect for what we were looking for.

Es un poco ruidoso y se sienten los pasos de los huéspedes del tercer piso, se sugiere colocar colocar servicio de cafeteria por lo menos para el desayuno. El hotel es muy limpio.

It was my first time in Miami so I didn´t know the city at all. The location for the hotel is great and also the price!Do not expect a luxury place but it is clean, cheap and very close to everything(beach, shops, restaurants, bars..)Rooms are a bit old and noisy in the night but if you are going to Miami for going out and have fun that is not a problem at least for me!Very good relationship between price/quality!Staff is very nice and they speak spanish like everyone in Miami!

Lacation is excellent, 200m to Lincoln Road where there are a lot of restaurants and shopping. They did not make the bed in two days... Expensive, but to close the attractions and nightlife. We have a problem when we got the room. The shower didn´t work, there was not a switch to switch off the air conditionig in the room and when we complained about it the receptionist told us: "we don´t have available room to move you, esto es lo que hay..." After this he apologized for his words and moved us to other double room...

It's right when the fun begins in south beach, don't expect it to be a family hotel and just think about the location and the price and you'll be having a nice time there. The parking is 3 blocks away and it can get full...
