Hotel Chesterfield - Miami Beach

I had room 519 and it was excellent! It had its own exterior access and a jacuzzi. The pictures shown on the website are exactly as the rooms and facilities really are. The service is very good so as the cleanness of the rooms. At arrival - if on Friday - one can doubt to have arrived at the right place because of the loud music and the party ambiance. However the noise doesn't arrive to the room I had and my overall stay was just great. Beach is accessible by short walk.

It rained outside and inside of our room. tub was dirty. Air conditioning vent was dusty.

If you plan on going to sleep early, don't get a room on the third floor. Happy Hour begins at 7pm and so does the music. Music was playing at least until midnight each night I was there and I could hear it clearly in the room. Overall the hotel was great, staff was helpful,and price affordable.

I have to wait for three hours for my room they had trouble finding my reservation. The room did not have heat and Front desk person who checked me in tried to blow me off when he could not find the reservation. The price quoted to me was misleading. I was not inform about the shuttle service or the continental breakfast the hotel served in the morning. Overall I will never stay there.

The Chesterfield is located in the art deco district of Miami beach - and this is about it. Coming from the beaches, the sun and the beautiful Miami beach art deco district, you enter a dark hotel with dark rooms - and immediately feel depressed. In addition, the air conditioning is loud - and it has to be as the main lobby is transformed to a club with loud music up to 3 a.m. and no seperation between the first floor and people partying. If you are interested in party time, mixture of youth hostel with loud teens and DJ in the middle of the night and getting drunk as hell, the Chesterfield might be the place.....not for us....
