We had 3 night stay in Beacon Hotel as base for Bahama cruise from Port of Miami. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Room was large and well equipped - even down to beach chairs in the closet. Breakfast in Johnny Rockets next door was ample. Would recommend very much.

The Beacon Hotel is an ideal location on Ocean Drive, in walking distance of food, shopping and parties, and is one of the orginal Art-Deco hotels, a place where You could feel the sense of an time in the past. The staff at the Beacon is outstanding and very friendly and very willing to go out of their way to assist the hotel guest. The restaurtant at the Beacon is top of the class as well are the many resturant on Ocean Drive. The hotel is old and without all the amenities that most travelers are accustom to (no ADSL/broadband, no desk area for working the lap top, etc) , but renovated, clean. The room was not large, but neither small, with in room refrigerator and a flat screen plasma TV. The bed was comfortable. Floors in the room and bathroom are marble tile, be care these can be very slippery. Also, the hotel made up for its lack of big hotel amenities by offering free gourmet coffee and juice in the morning, and comping us for continental breakfast next door at Johnny Rockets. If you have a car, I recommend to take the valet parking because you won't be finding any parking on your own.

By car
From Miami International Airport:
Head west from the airport terminals and follow exit number 4 towards SR-836. Merge onto Le Jeune Rd southbound and take the ramp towards SR-836 E. to Downtown/Miami Beach (toll). Bear right into the SR-836 E, entry ramp to I-395 E towards Beaches and continue on I-395 E/MacArthur Causeway. Stay right until the causeway ends and follow 5th St until Collins Ave. Bear left at Collins Ave then turn right onto 8th St. Turn right at Ocean Drive where you will find the hotel.
From Fort Lauderdale Airport:
Head west from Terminal Drive and bear right onto the US-1 S ramp to Dania Beach/Hollywood. Bear right at N Federal Hwy and then bear right again and head towards Griffin Rd. Continue on Griffin Rd. and then turn left into the 1-95 S entry ramp and continue for 20 miles (32 km). Take the I-395 exit 2D to Miami Beach and bear left onto the ramp to Miami Beach. Merge into I-395 E and stay right until the causeway ends and follow 5th St until Collins Ave. Bear left at Collins Ave and turn right onto 8th St. Turn right at Ocean Drive where you will find the hotel.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If cancellation is done less than 3 days prior to arrival we will charge the client's credit card for the first night. We will charge your credit card for the first night upon reservation. For the period from Dicember 27th to January 1st cancellation has to be done at least 7 days prior to arrival.
You may cancel your reservation without penalty up until 3 days before your arrival date, by accessing the Your Reservations page. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE".
