Just 15 minutes by walk to lincoln road (otherwise you can use the bus in the back street of the hotel at 2$ for run)and the center of the life in south beach; good rate between price/quality but is a little bit high respect the hotel price in the rest of the state: here we are in south beach and thhat's another world! Good breakfast and employees; 25 minutes by taxi from intern. airoport (40$). If you want to stay quite, stay here.

The hotel is not directly located on the beach, it is a bit far away from the center (shopping, restaurants, amusement etc.). The hotel is ok, but the surroundings are not recommandable (worksides). The staff is friendly and efficient except the housekeeping (one week without vacuuming).

It was a nice place for a short stay. Employes was polite and friendly! Cleanlines was as expected for the farly low price. My biggest consern is the location. It is located at an area of Miami beach that doesn't have much to offer. You really need to take bus or taxi in my opinion

We've been to this hotel with our small family 2 kids. I would not recommend this hotel. Staff not friendly and not helpfull, very old, we had to short our stay... It was very bad for our holidays...

The hotel was very well what was described in advertisement. The room was spacious but was not sound proof at all. Could hear everything from outside and nearby rooms. In fact there was a fist fight that broke out in room next to us at 4:30am and could hear every detail of fight from crashing of glass. We did call down to lobby at that time and within 15 mins---the room next to us was quiet the rest of the time. The rooms are controlled with air conditioning I guess from the lobby office. It was a little uncomfortable with heat---but controls were locked and unable to change temps. It was a very short walk to beach---not much to eat close by hotel.

Nice rooms, good service. No big screaming crowds at night. Excellent for spending a nice quiet week of vacations. Breakfasts were the same every morning (eggs + ham), so you might consider shopping for food in the nearest supermarket.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, and stayed an additional 4 nights elsewhere in Miami. I would not classify this hotel as 4 star, only 3 star. There was a coffee maker in my room with no coffee pot. After the second night I had to request more coffee, it was not replenished. After 1 night there was no clean wash cloth or bath mat provided. I would only return to this hotel if the services improved. Attention to detail was lacking.

Very friendly & helpful desk clerks,big rooms at good price,close to beach & boardwalk,nice breakfast provided,we were allowed to check in very early when we got off the cruise ship...overall a great place to stay, just not close to South Beach action, restaurants, stores....

We stayed in Habana Libre Beach resort on October 2-5th, 2008. The front desk staff was very friendly, and insten of our Queen size bed room offered us a King size apartament with ocean view! It was unexpected for us, but very welcoming:) The bad thing about this hotel is only one: all rooms has a door to next room and the noise isolations is terible. You can even hear people in another room wispering.

Good deal for budget travellers. Close to the beach but far away from nightlife and in the middle of a boring part of Miami Beach (if you don't have a car, don't go further than 17th street north). Swimming pool very dirty and close to Collins Av.

Beautiful and spacious room with a lot of amenities (in particular the bathroom kit). Very nice Caribbean atmosphere and an helpful and quick service-desk. A must in Miami Beach!

The hotel is an old building but the rooms are very big . Also i think the word resort in the hotel's name misleads very much the customer
