Hotel Del Principado - Mexico City

The hotel was everything I expected except for the wireless internet--which was slow and unreliable. Because this was important to me, I would not stay there again without some guarantee that this had been fixed and/or upgraded. Otherwise the room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was fabulous and the location perfect. The place doesn't have any Mexican "character" such as balconies on a courtyard but it is very pleasant, on a safe, quiet street.

I have had a single room and it was small but large enough for one person. The room was quiet and the hotel service is good. The only problem was the very high temperature as there were no AC and very small opening windows. Nevertheless, an air fan was available. Breakfast was included in the price of the room (around 30 euros per night). The hotel is very well situated, just in the middle of Zucalo and Chapultepec areas and very close to the zona rosa with a lot of bars and restaurants. The area is very safe even at night. Metro station (Insurgentes) is close to the hotel (8 mins walk).

Very nice staff, helpful, Sra. Emma went out of her way to please us, everybody did his best to give us a great time. Also fast and reliable internet for free, even computer to use for free. Overall a great place we come back to if we have to go to DF again.

Hotel is good for people who don't want to spend too much money but I advise not to book any touristic thing or taxi with reception. They try to take as much money as they can (taxis are not real taxis, tours aren't good quality anf they don't seem to be declared...) Surrounding is good

Customer service could not have been better but room was noisy and shower very, very small.

I stayed at Hotel Del Principado after I read very positive reviews online. These reviews are accurate: staff are very friendly and incredibly helpful (I had asked for an iron and this was immediately brought to my room and someone came to check the light fuse as soon as I called). They provided information on the area, what to do, etc, but without being pushy or selling anything in particular. Rooms are very clean and well-equipped and the hotel is very conveniently located. Wireless internet works well. Breakfast provides a nice opportunity to sit down and relax before starting the day. It seems very well run but still has a nice small hotel feel to it where you are recognised when you come in. I ended up staying there again when I returned after my travels in Mexico. This hotel is brilliant value for money. I have already been telling friends and family about Del Principado. Congratulations to staff and management. I thought their private taxis were a bit more expensive than normal taxis, so when I didn't have luggage and knew where I was going I took them from the 'sitio' (taxi rank) at the nearest metro station.

Very welcoming, clean and orderly. Although a nice room, there is little space for relaxing, reading a book or watching tv except by reclining on the bed...but that's ok if you have travelled to Mexico to see the sights, rather than stay in your room. Food is good but easier to order with English menu rather than Spanish menu. Staff are very helpful although not always knowledgeable on taxi rates to see selected sites. We would stay there again.

Perfect place! well located, good facilities and amazing staff

We had a great stay. The fellow at the front desk was awesome, and very informative. Also, the breakfast the next morning was terrific. All in all we enjoyed our stay/
