Hotel Escurial - Metz

Good location and very friendly service.

Rooms clean and tidy but very basic decour nothing at all like the lobby as shown on the website

The room was very small and old-fashioned. The wifi wadn't woorking. The breakfast is very very poor (finished food is not replaced). Checks were accepted. Yet, the staff is very kind. The hotel would be ok for a lower price.

This hotel is fine for the money you pay - and for one or two nights. Very nice service, but no minibar in the room (but you can buy drinks at the automat). Location is fine close to the train station an 10 minutes to the new Centre Pomidou - a must! METZ is a good destination for 24-48 hours of interesting visits.

Good location near the station. A friendly welcome. Bright, pleasant room if a little small. Nice to have a small balcony. Excellent price (69 euros for double room and breakfast).

Excellent and convenient as we had a car. Hotel was only for a late night arrival, and quick breakfast before exploring Metz. Good location, and very nice hotel.

The staff at this hotel really made the stay. It was like leaving family when we checked out. They really could not have been more helpful and nothing ever seemed to much of a problem, even my rather sad French. The only downfall of the hotel was the size of the room - it was really quite small and a bit difficult for those times we were not out and about. The friendliness of everyone and the value for money more than made up for this inconvenice, though. Breakfast was lovely!

Welcoming atmosphere, and reasonably priced. Modern look interior. Functional comfortable bathroom and toilet.The staff at the front was very helpful and gave us a very good intro to the city. We loved the stay and do not mind staying at this hotel again.

An excellent hotel, not far from the train station, very clean and comfortable. An very good price/quality hotel.

The Escurial is one of our favorite hotels. It is in an excellent location, close to the magnificent train station and to the city center. The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. This was our second stay, and we were treated like long lost friends. And, we love the ambience.

This hotel is close to the train station and within walking distance of everything we visited in Metz (by my definition of walking distance). However, people who don't like to walk might find that it's a bit far from sites like the Porte Allemand. We were allowed to wait in the breakfast area after check out time until it was time to catch our train, and we appreciated that. Reception staff was friendly. On the weekends, breakfast is included in the price, and I thought it was excellent. They had bread, croissants, jam, cereal, eggs, yogurt, applesauce, fruit, and probably some other things I'm forgetting. I think their weekday breakfast isn't included in the price and doesn't include as much food, but we were only there on the weekend, so I don't know for sure.

The Excurial is a wonderful hotel. Very attractive and in a nice part of town. The service was outstanding. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The breakfasts were excellent. We recommend the Escurial without hesitation or qualification. We hated to leave.

The staff were very friendly and the room was excellent. It was the quietest hotel room that I have ever stayed in. As it has been newly renovated it was comfortable and clean. I thoroughly recommend it. It is a 10 minute walk to the city but it is not difficult and you get to see more!
