We looked for a simple hotel and that is what we found. I like to sleep with an open window, but at the frontside was much noise during the very early morning and in the late evening. The staff was very friendly and we loved the city and the Centre Pompidou Metz, the goal of our trip.

I got one of the poorest rooms under the roof, about 6m², very hot.the hotel is a five-story building of the 19th century completely renewed with cheap means.Ilived on the 5th floor. My request for a normal room in any of the lower floors was refused with one excuse after another. The hotel was not fully occupied. In 3 days the lift did not work 3 times. The price was alright for a normal room, but much too high fo this sleeping box.

We spent the night in Metz because it was the closest place to the Lorraine American Cemetery, which we were visiting, that had a selection of hotels. We weren't expecting anything, but it's quite a nice place, with a medieval town center complete with canals, a big church, shopping, and a surprising number of Goth teenagers. The hotel is just outside of the tourist area, a pleasant walk, and not too crowded. Our first impression of the hotel was of the hostess who guided us into the garage: Friendly, energetic, helpful. Our second impression was of the garage: small, tight. The rooms (we had two doubles) were adequate in size, comfortable, clean, and the bathrooms nice. The wireless internet was tedious to use, since you had to log into a web page rather than the router, making it difficult for practical use. On top of that, there were no outlets in the rooms unless you unplugged a fan, lamp, or TV. Breakfast was nice, varied, and ample. You need to walk a few blocks for dinner, but you can get coffee or a drink in the hotel lobby, which was modest but comfortable. The host and hostess were wonderful, the hotel comfortable (albeit marginally computer friendly), and Metz a pleasant surprise.

I found the staff at the hotel to be very friendly and knowledgeable about Metz. They provided very good guidance on where to find things to see, shopping and how to get there. The hotel was 5 minutes away from the train station in a nice area that I felt very comfortable. There was a small grocery store across the street from the hotel where you could purchase most things such as snacks, bread, wine, salads, fruit etc.

Just a few minute walk from the city center. Big and confortable room. No fridge provided (it would be welcome). I would chose it again if I had to spend sometime in Metz again.

The three of us shared a room which was very adequate and as expected. Garaging was good although with a big car exit and entry is very tight although staff were very helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
