I really enjoyed my stay there. Breakfast was sufficient enough and reasonably good. internet service was not stable.Bathroom was clean and spacious. I did not know that fridge was also available in the room. I felt cold at night and asked for blanket from the reception and they sent me immediately but it was very thin and small.

The location of this hotel is not far from train station (Mestre) around 10 minutes by walking. The breakfast was OK. We had a big meal for breakfast because we ate croissant, bread, fruits, ham, etc. Also, we also drank some milk, hot chocalte, and coffe too. To travel in Venice, we took a bus from the opposite site of the hotel and the bus came every 20-40 minutes. You can buy the ticket with the bus driver (it costs around 1.30 euro). There is a supermarket next to the hotel so that we can easily buy water, fruits, snacks etc. Moreover, there is a Kebab restuarant opposite the hotel.

There is management problem. Before we book this hotel, it is said that the child under 6 is free if using existing bed. But when we checked in, we are informed that we have to pay 10 EUR more for my little child. After I show the evidence of their confirmation, hotel staff say this is for breakfirst. So from the conflict of answer, we are quite confused.

When they say "within walking distance" to the railway station plan on 15 minutes- this may make it difficult for some travellers. The bus to and from Venice stops right across the street which was very convenient. The low season rate of 55 Euros made this an excellent value.

You avoid the higher cost, inconvenience (hauling luggage) and hassle of staying in venice, yet you can be there very quickly and effortlessly. the staff were eager to help and provided excellent restaurant recommendations. parking on site is a bonus!

Dining options close to the hotel are limited but turn right when you exit the hotel, small cafe just past the supermarket has good food, small tables on the sidewalk, at reasonable prices (bottle of wine 8 euros) More up scale restaurant on the second street you come to. Menue posted outside. Buy an ACTV pass..24 to 72 hours good for bus and vaporetto in Venice. Bus stop across from hotel, take 4 or 4L bus, runs every 10 min.

Overall our stay was most enjoyable. Staff was really nice and helpful and corteous at all times! The restaurant menu could improve a little by offering different items daily rather than always the same menu. Also, with the all inclusive menu (Euro20),it would be nice to include a 'bibita' viz. (soft drink/water or 1 glass of wine), like they offered in many places we ate at. Thank you.

The location is excellent, right opposite the bus stop for a direct bus to Venice. The bus comes every 6 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes in the evening. There is a supermarket next door if you need toiletries, drinking water etc. as tea/coffee making facilities are not provided. Cleanliness is superb but breakfast is limited. Quantities are good but not much variety. Hotel staff is friendly except one or two people. Cleaning staff is friendly and toiletries are replenished every day. Overall, an above average stay for the price compared to in Venice itself.

f you wanna visit Venice, you can stay in Venice on the island and a pay a lot of money or you can stay in Mestre for half the cost and take a 10 min bus ride to Venice and back for 1.10 Euro each way. The bus stop is right across the street from this hotel. The train station is about a 10 min walk without bags and 15 min walk if you are dragging your bags with you. There are quite a few hotels in Mestre and they are dumpy looking. This is one of the few that's a nice looking hotel in and out and clean and quiet. We got a good deal. We paid 58 Euros for the night we stayed here. The hotel rooms are nice and clean. Have a flat screen 20 inch TV, a refrigerator, a phone, and a clean private bathroom. The hotel has a spacious elevator and they serve breakfast every morning in a large breakfast room. There is a pretty wide selection of items available for breakfast. They do have wi-fi but not sure if you have to pay for it. We would've preferred that they have a small desktop PC for general use in one area (like a lot of hotels do) since a lot of us don't travel w/ our laptops on our vacation in Italy. There is a supermarket called PAM right next door where you can buy cheap bottled water and other things if you want.

We arrived in Mestre from Rome early in the morning. We knew that it won't be possible to check-into the hotel until noon and the hotel staff had also informed us before hand. Finding the hotel in wee hours was bit difficult but in day time it should not be an issue. We went to the hotel so that we can drop our luggage and proceed to Venice. Since we had a 7 months old baby, the hotel staff was kind to arrange for a room by 9am. The hotel provides a good breakfast. For a vegetarian the options are limited. The connectivity with Venice is also good. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Our room was in the A building which was not directly facing the road. Hence it was not at all noisy. The only negative about the hotel is the absence of restaurants around the hotel. The hotel serves dinner but if in case you want to try something outside, it is a big no-no.

We stayed at Hotel Delfino one night to visit Venice. We were put in a room in building "A," which had major water issues. At 1am, pipes were leaking just outside our room and hotel employees were in the hall shouting and yelling until 2am, when I had to ask them to "Please be quiet." Not a very restful night! In the morning, the shower backed up and there was another major pipe leak outside our room. We had to walk through a waterfall to get to breakfast! When we told the front desk about this, they did nothing to compensate us for our inconvenience. It was a very disappointing stay.

Otherwise the room was spacious, empty minibar, which I prefer as you can put your own goods inside. Bathroom looks good. Let's start with the positives: the hotel is very well-located with respect to the bus lines to and from Venice (literally door-to-door service). The rooms are clean, quiet and spacious. That's it. Arriving at the hotel from Mestre Railway station can be painful, specially with children and luggage, although the website says it is "within a walking distance". The small map at the site makes it look closer than it actually is and does not include scale information. After struggling to arrive at the hotel, I was "welcomed" by an unpleasant reception clerk that made us feel like if we were disturbing although the site says the hotel offers "traditional Venetian hospitality" (makes me laugh...) The hotel is being renovated from lowest floors up (I guess), and we were unlucky to stay at one of the upper floors. The information that the hotel rooms have "Individually controlled air conditioning" is FALSE (maybe true for the renovated rooms?) Worse, air conditioning goes off at about 11h30PM. The small fridge in the room is also symbolic. It simply doesn't work. The bathrooms are old-fashioned and the shower cabins are ridiculous: too small, at the same level of the floor, with no separation other than a curtain that keeps coming over you and does not prevent the floor from being completely flooded. Breakfast is basic, not bad, but not exceptional. The waitresses are nice! All in all, I think the hotel is expensive for what it offers, and the information at the Venere site can be misleading. Next time round, I might look for something else, specially to avoid that reception staff!

definately group tours. Breakfast staff were indifferent, food platters were empty and not replenished quickly. We felt as we were intruders rather than guests. Will not stay there again. Also they were in the middle of renovations , which made it unpleasant.

This was the worst experience from our trip to Europe. We stayed at Delfino Mestre on 20 and 21 June 2007. 34 degree Celsius outside temperature and 33 degree Celsius in our room. Air conditioning was not working at all. Refrigerator in our room was defective (asked for some ice cube at the restaurant and paid 1 euro). Hotel was renovating at that time and the parking which was supposed to be included in price was not available. Employees from the check-in bored to death and impolite!

I have stayed at many hotels in Milan but this hotel was one of good ones although there are not so many nice hotels in Milan when considered the price. This hotel is located in very convenient place and the price is not so high compared to other hotels. Staffs are very helpful as well. I will stay there again!

Would definitely stay here again. The hotel is situated in a good location, there is a bus stop right across the street that goes into Venice that takes about 15 min. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, the only complaint is the shower is just a curtain so water gets everywhere. Breakfast was very good!

A standard hotel, as expected for the price. Given its proximity to Venice, it was good value for money, overall. Pluses: a) Clean, spacious room and bathroom. b) Very easy to go to Venice, bus no 4 directly across the street. c) A nice supermarket is right next to the hotel. d) Less than 15 mins walking to Mestre bus and rail station, but first time do ask someone for the route. Minuses, in order of importance: a) On a main street, hence not quiet until very late at night, especially in the rooms on the street side, but one can hear street noise even from the back. b) Couldn't figure out how to control the air conditioned; the air blowing was quite noisy. c) Breakfast was basic, coffee from machines tasteless; a stain on the reputation of Italian coffee-making! d) One is staying directly on floor tiles when taking a shower.

It is not easy to find hotel from Autostrada. Very convenient for bus to Venice. Restaurant recommended by hotel very good value. Free public parking only 100 meters.

WE were really disappointed with this facility. There was a very unpleasant odor in both the rooms and the hall ways. The rooms had very flimsy lock systems and the noise from the outside was substantial. We were greated in a very low key uninterested manner and really did not feel helped in any way other than directions to the bus stop. We would not return.

Very unpolite employee on reception desk. Parking was included in price but not available without any apologize from reception manager. Instead of free parking he offered garage for 12EUR or free public parking 2 streets from hotel.

I was a bit reserved when I booked on-line for a double room in Hotel Delfino. I found a king-size bed in a very spacious room. The breakfast was really rich. In front of the Hotel is the bus station for Venice city centre. Nearby is a handy supermarket. The minus is that the Hotel has only 4 parking spaces. But during the Sundays the public parking on payment is free of charge.

Overall the Hotel isn't bad although I didn't like some things. The room was noisy (especially in the morning) as it's located over a big road. The bathroom hasn't a shower dish and the wash basin didn't drain the water much. Besides a nasty smell came from the bidet. I can't consider this a 3 stars Hotel (at least for american standards).

We travelled as Family and stayed only 1 night. The Rooms were not comfortable. It was very loud from the Cars and the Bus from the Street. IWe didn't slept well. The bathroom wasn't really clean and it was an old one. The Coffee at breakfast was not drinkable. The only one was good...the Bus who was directly in front of the Hotel driving to Venezia.

Want to thank the staff at the Delfino for their help, especially Paola. They were great. This place is definiteny worth the fee. It's not on the Venice island but transpo is right across the street and gets you there in minutes. Make sure you get your bus ticket in the AM, they take long lunches.

The hotel is very well located, with easy and frequent access to Venice via public transportation (bus stop in front of the hotel). In just a few minutes you are on Venice. I was travelling by car and the hotel provided parking at no extra cost. Breakfast was included in the rate and was reasonable (the best I experienced during the trip). Hotel surroundings look safe and busy (grocery, internet are at hand). The hotel front desk man recommended a restaurant nearby (Prestige Ristorante), which proved to have very friendly people and a nice food. Hotel staff speaks English and were friendly and helpful. I was on a vacation family travel with older children (5 people) and stayed for two nights. The rooms are spacious and clean although furniture seems old. Definitely would stay again.
