Perfect to visit Venise and have a quiet stay in the night. 5 minutes walk to the bus stop, then 15 minutes by bus and you visit Venise. The regular bus comes every 30 minutes at '20 and '50 of each hour from Mestre, and '0 and '30 of each hour from venise. Good breakfast, just ask if you need more than what is presented. Easy communication in english.

Good. If you look for spacious room for Venice trip, this is it. Hotel person, young lady, was also friendly and kind.

Great hotel for the "night before the flight out of Venice" - quiet, relaxing, clean, etc. It is isolated, so a good walk to dinner or bus/cab to downtown. The isolation is a positive - perfect place before a long flight.

It is a peaceful area. It almost feels like on the countryside since it’s located in a cornfield at a roadside. It’s ideal for someone who wants to relax, breath fresh air and have a swim. Driving a car is rather necessary since the place is isolated with no restaurant serving lunch or dinner around. The choice for breakfast is poor.

I did not have the comfort looking arround, because I stayed only for one night, arrived in the evening and left in the morning. But my overall impressions were, nice people, nice surroudings (country site / corn fields), quit little hotel, small but nice room with airco etc.

Villa Sara is an excellent pre-airport stop. The airport is only a few minutes by car and I believe the hotel offers a shuttle. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are better than usually found in a 3star hotel. The country location is quiet and there's ample parking. The downside is that you can't walk to restaurants. Breakfast was minimal.

We traveled through Italy for a couple of weeks in September and stayed in six different 3-star hotels. We don’t understand what the previous reviewers liked about Villa Sara. We booked this hotel based on their reviews and we ended up being very disappointed; it was the worst of all of the hotels we stayed in Italy. In our opinion, and compared to the other 3-star hotels, Villa Sara should be a 2-star hotel. Letting alone the location, which is literally in the cornfields with nothing around, the staff did not strike us as particularly interested to satisfy their clients. The breakfast was the worst we had in Italy. The staff would place in front of you, at the table, a little plate with a single piece of bread (about 2 x 3 inch – not exaggerating at all) and a very bad croissant (which could have been a week old or older). On our second morning I asked for a second piece of bread and the answer was a straight “NO.” We offered to exchange the croissant for it, and again, “NO.” We then offered to pay for it and we were told, “it’s finished!” How could that be? We were the only clients in the entire villa/hotel. We initially booked for three nights but ended up changing our flights and leaving after only two nights. (We actually wanted to cancel right when we arrived, but they told us that they would charge us for the first night regardless, SO BEWARE!) The map on the website is misleading. The location is not in Mestre, but somewhere in the outskirts of Mestre. True, there is only a ½ km walk to the bus stop for Venice (about 7 min. if you walk fast), but you’ll walk a little winding road between the cornfields and we certainly did not feel comfortable doing this at night, coming back from Venice. The room and bathroom were dimly lit (perhaps to save on the energy bill) and shaving or putting make-up on in the bathroom was a challenge. The shower (very tiny) could have used a better scrubbing (there was black mold between the bottom tiles and around the shower door)

We like'd the proximity to Venice, only a short 15 min bus ride away. We were disappointed the air conditioning we looked forward to (early July) was turned off when we were out of the room and the heat made it very uncomfortable to sleep because the air conditioner couldn't cool off the room. AND the air was turned off again in the morning while were dressing and packing to leave. The shower stall was very tiny. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in giving directions and advise. It looked as fi they might be adding a pool, if that's the case it'll be a really nice place to stay.

For people who would like to stay just outside of the busy Venice town, this is a great place. Transport to the city is closeby and quick. Service excellent and Villa Sara would also provide you with all the information you would need to make as much of your stay as possible. We will defenitely go back to the Villa Sara.

We enjoyed our stay at the Villa Sara. We took the bus to and from Venice for two days. That worked out quite well, especially when we figured out that the "last stop of Via Gobbi" was 6/6 as indicated on the bus stop signs. Taking a taxi to the airport was simple (as was picking up and returning a rental car at the airport). Finding the bus to the hotel from Mestre train station was a bit more confusing for us than finding the bus near the Venice train station.

The photographs are very different from reality, the rooms that appear on line look much much better and big than they really are, the rooms and in general the hotel, on line it seems like a nice, big place with a lot of garden around, and it is a small place in the middle of nowhere... it was good but i don´t think I would sleep there again... I rather pay a little bit more and stay in a bettere place in venice.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Sara. It seemed like a mini estate, on farmland far from congestion. It was very convenient to Venice. The family which runs the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They recommended a family connected restaurant which was so good we ate there two nights. We had a little trouble finding the villa and had to ask for directions. We would recommmend it to our friends and would stay there again.

We used the bus into Venice both days we stayed in the hotel and it was very convenient. I was unaware that there was shuttle service from the airport for a fee so we ended up spending more money on a taxi than would have otherwise been necessary ($26 Euro).

Everything was just fine, the only problem was to find the way to the hotel for the first time. Making the map on the internet somewhat clearer would surely help Beautiful location, quiet, idyllic, and not too expensive!

Villa Sara is very nice, but kind of in the middle of nothing (a cornfield). Everyone was kind and polite, but we were only there because of an early flight the next morning, so we can't really evaluate it that fairly. It is very close to the airport, however, and not far from Venice by bus.

Villa Sara was more than we expected! Such a terrific and peaceful and quiet place only 15 minutes (by bus) from crowded Venice...!!!!! We defenitely go back here. It is not "just" a stay for going to venice, but a lovely place to be, the garden is a dream!
