Hotel President - Mestre

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, convenient location.

OUR STAYING THIS YEAR HAD NOT THE SAME QUALITY AS LAST YEAR . SOMETHING WAS NOT WORKING AS GOOD AS IT MIGHT BE . SERVICE WAS COOL , THE ROOM WAS NOT CLEAR ENOUGH . NEXT YEAR WE WILL CHOOSE ANOTHER HOTEL IN THE SAME AREA .

I did not find the hotel receptionist kind at all. They try to find a way to charge you more and more. If you are planning to stay here, call them before, regarding all details....

The triple bed room was really cramped despite paying a lot more! It is imprtant to emphasise 'forte marghera' as one word or together sicne 'margehera' is far off from the hotel.

The hotel is great! Breakfast was almost perfect. The only negative note, the room was to hot and with an open window it would be much to loud.

Overall our 3 day stay was o.k, Except a few things: the room was smaller than it's shown on the web page, but it's design was nice and welcoming. Upon our arrival we asked a quiet room and received one that turns on the high way - quit it wasn't. we asked to change it and every day we were told that tomorrow they will have a room which never happened.the highway side strongly not recommended - it's very noise. the air conditioning hardly works so it was impossible to close the windows. Breakfast was o.k, usual for European standards, there is a free parking if you get there first. Very close to a bus station so it takes about 10-15 min to get to Venice.

Nice quiet clean hotel in nice residential area but still handy to many things, the free shuttle is very good useful service, good value for money, the staff are so nice, I certainly recommend it.

Ottimo albergo a 300 metri dalla fermata del bus 4 che porta a Venezia. Buona e abbondante colazione a Buffet. personale gentilissimo.

This hotel offered a great location and rate for those who do not want to stay right in Venice. It is close to the bus which takes you right to the heart of the action - only a 10 minute bus trip each way. The hotel itself has its own parking area if you have a car - we did and it was great to know that as parking throughout Italy is at a premium and quite expensive if you have to pay for it. If you bring a laptop their is an internet plug in each room (no extra charge) - fantastic if you need to work in the privacy of your own room at any hour and for any length of time and not have to worry about getting dressed to go and sit in the foyer.

We stayed at The President Sep./Oct. 2008.Overall we were very pleased with the accommodation.The room we had was clean , small but quite adequate and reasonably quiet. The air conditioning was satisfactory . The staff we encountered all spoke English & were most helpful. In particular they advised us on how to access the bus to Venice & this worked very well. We had been warned that Mestre was an industrial town & somewhat unattractive. While this is true in part, the area where the President is located is quite pleasant, with easy access to shops , cafes etc.as well as easy access to Venice. Indeed we found it a relief to escape from the tourist hordes in Venice each day. The hotel is also easy to access from the airport.

Good location, quiet, but close to the bus stop and you can go to Venice in 15 minutes. Rooms are very nice and clean, only bath tub is small. Breakfast is one of the best I had in Italy. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel convenient to public transportation into Venice and near some restaurants and shopping in Mestre. Friendly staff.

An excellent hotel,but some far from city center.

Great alternative to Venice. Only 10 minute public bus ride to Venice. Buy 24 hour public transportation pass at hotel includes bus and boats in Venice (great deal). Very friendly, helpful staff. Taxi to airport: $30-40. Watched folks drag luggage in boats and bridges looking for hard to find, more expensive hotels in Venice...President very comfortable and worth it. Will use again.

This hotel has no laundry service or iron. This hotels staff were not very helpful in directing us to laundry facilities correctly. The breakfast was better than most places in Italy. No other services offered.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel President. The employees we very courteous and helpful. We needed information for the bus to Venice, which they provided and also provided the tickets. It's in a great neighborhood with lots of shops and places to eat.

We were very pleased w/ our accomodations.The staff were very friendly and helpful.TV couild be upgraded. Free parking is a plus.

Generally we are quite happy with the hotel. The staff are helpful. It is easy to get to San Marco from there although the buses and water buses were packed with people when we were there. It took us about 0.5 hours to get to San Marco including waiting time for buses and water buses. Our room is clean and tidy and the location where the hotel is rather safe. It is a cheaper option to the hotels in Venice if you want to visit Venice.

Thanks to the competence and knowledge of the employees (espec.mr. Giovanni from Hotel President ) I enjoyed my stay even more!!!!!

The staf was very courteous and helpful, we would definetly stay here again.

As expected it was cheaper to stay in Mestre, yet we were very close to Venice. The hotel it's self was wonderful. The Man at the front desk whose name slips my memory right now was fantastic, charming and friendly. The rooms were clean and considering this was Europe spacious enough. Thank you for your help in finding this Hotel we would definately recommend it to anyone. In fact we already have.

Especially the second time we spent in the hotel was really great - because we were allocated in a 4* room (which was already renovated)! It was really nice furnitured and cosy! What would be nice too? - A possibility to connect with the internet at the hotel!

Excellent service, but Hotel and room smelt of cigarette smoke.

We were very pleased with our stay. The staff was very helpful and the hotel is in a great location to see Venice, but not be in Venice. The bus to Venice is a three minute walk from the hotel, it takes about 15 min to get to Venice and it runs until 1 am. To see all of the other people stuggling with their luggage over bridges and getting lost made us feel very fortunate to have taken a chance on the Hotel President. If you try it, you will not be disappointed.
