This was my first time in Marghera, reason was to visit Venice. Staff was excellent very helpful...the only drawback was the location, full of prostitutes at all times of the day.

We are very pleased with the hotel. The building is almost new.. 7 years old and is not smelly and musty like hotels in Venice. It is better to get a room with private bathroom. There is a caffeteria in front of the hotel, and a bus stop nearby ( 15 minutes to Venice with bus)

The area of hotel is definitely not touristic, but access to public transport to Venice is excellent and the rooms in the hotel are actually OK.

I stayed in a single room with bathroom. Helpful staff, very clean hotel and room. I had forgotten my camera on a table in the reception and the young receptionist(George Ilinka) ran after me to make sure I would get it. The bus stop to Venice is a couple of minutes'walk from the hotel.

Nuova Aurora is a great and good-value starting point for trips to Venice. It is only a 10min bus ride to get into the city, the bus stop is just a short walk (3min) away from the hotel. Busses run until around midnight. The facility is simple (no amenities), but well-kept - ideal for everybody who needs a cheap accommodation and more or less only a "place to sleep" as you are "out in town" most of the time anyway. The location of the hotel is not that nice, though - its on the outskirts of Marghera/Mestre, on a big street (which is, at least on the weekends, also used as prostitution street - that is not really a problem, but you might want to know it. I read about it before and expected worse :-) ) We haven't booked breakfast, so we can't tell you about that. The staff was really nice and helpful. We traveled by bus, but there is a little parking lot, too - for those of you who travel by car, it's a good starting point, too, as it is situated on the said main street (though I'd recommend to take the bus into Venice).

For that price rooms are really nice, even there is quite noisy outside, but if you look just for the stay as you want to see Venezia - this hotel is really good.

This hotel gives value for the money. The staff were friendly and helpful! The room was clean and not to many unneccesary things that gather dust and make the price go up. Lucky for me no carpets!(I have astma and the room was clean enough for me!) Several closets to put away bags and clothes, bathroom ok. No restaurant in the hotel, but coffe & biscuit-machine, staff are helpful with ordering takeaway pizza. Easy communication with buss-stop right outside the hotel. Direct line to Venezia, or take buss to Mestere and change buss there. (A lot of nice restaurants in Venezia, but expensive).

Rooms are OK, had booked a twin room but was given a double, at first they said it was not clear on the booking but after they re-checked they called the cleaning lady who within 10 minutes re made the beds as separate. The area is not very good, prostitutes stand on the opposite side of the road to the hotel. Great transport links to Venice

Well, you get what you pay for. We picked this hotel because it was cheap and it had free parking which was very important b/c there is no place to put your car in Venice. When we arrived at 8pm, there were a group of at least 10 hookers on the corner not 50 yards from our hotel. WoW! But, the accomodations at the hotel were sufficient and there was a conveinant bus that took us to Venice and got us back. The bathrooms were questionable, take your shower shoes. And an FYI, there are no toilet seats on the toilets, which we found out is not terrible uncommon around Venice, but I will save you the shock factor. The place was okay for the money. It served our needs. The hookers are not out in the morning so you dont have to see them on your way in and on your way home, just get off at the stop right after the hotel, it is very close and you can avoid the hooker hangout.

Hotel Nuova Aurora is a 15 minute bus ride to Venice. Convenient for those not wanting to pay big bucks to stay in Venice. Room sizes were generous & clean. Parking is free and gated. Staff was friendly and helpful. Air conditioning did not work and they did not send a technician to check it out, as they said they would. The hotel itself was quite nice, but you understand why the price is low as soon as you set foot outside the door.... Although the proximity to Venice (by bus) is ideal and the accommodations are cheap, the surrounding area is HORRIBLE. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, let alone guests who are single or those who 'scare easily'. It is close to an industrial part of town on a very busy street. We did not sleep either night we were there since the A/C was not working and we had to open the windows. The traffic was horrible. There were some 'shady' looking guys hanging out in the parking lot of the hotel. Both evenings we returned to the hotel from our visits to Venice (about 10pm), the street was spotted with prostitutes waiting for 'clients'. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone, even with the low price!!!

Nice cheap hotel, excellent location for venice visits. Next bus stop just 5 min and the venice travel card can be used on it. Very friendly personal, big and new hotel rooms. Since there are prostitutes in the street maybe not suitable for families with children but for all other clientele.

Good option for those who are travelling on budget. 30 minutes far from Veneza by bus. The hotel it is near the bus stop. We don't recommend this hotel to family traveling with children.

The place in general is very clean. The room was very nice and spaciusness. We had booked a room with shared bathroom and because there were rooms with private bathroom abailable the gave us one of this for the same price! Isabella was very kind with us. The place is a little bit far a way from Mestre train station, but there is a bus that takes you in 20 minutes to Venice!

Unico neo: zona periferica abbastanza isolata.

Siamo stati in quest'hotel l'anno scorso in settembre.

Hotel Nuova Aurora is not located in a nice place, next to the road and quite far a way from Venece and out of mestre. There are bad conections with public transports to the center of mestre and venece. At night it is a quite dangerous area. Relationship between price and quality is very poor.Don´t recomende the hotel.

Ci torneremo senz'altro!

The proximity of Mestre and Venezia makes the location and the finding of the hotel quite a task. Luckily enough I was escorted by a very friendly resident who brought me directly to the hotel. also there is absolutely nothing as far as restaurant's or small grocery or whatever in the immediate area it would be an added value to have a facility within walking distance as the driving around can get very hazardous. Other than that all was fine.

I very highly recommend Nuova Aurora. The hotel is brand new and is equipped with modern and attractive rooms and bathrooms. The reception was delightfully friendly and helpful, although they spoke very pretty much only italian and a bit of english. The hotel is just a few steps from a bus stop where one can take a 10 bus trip to and from Venice. The free parking is very handy, and i noticed that the laundry service was very reasonably priced, unlike elsewhere we stayed in Italy. The breakfast was delicious at about 2 euros per person and was free the first day (at least for us). This hotel is a great deal, and we were delightfully satisfied.

Modern clean rooms (2nd floor) with modern bath and free parking in yard. at least on the backside of the street (where we stayed) quiet. unfinished buiding in first floor (though no building activity/noise during our stay). connection to venice via bus app. 12 min dirve 3 times every hour, on sat. and sun. about once every hour. tickets in tobacco shop next doors or (stops just 50m from hotel) on weekends and during night on the bus (stops just 50m from hotel). surroundings are rather poor with industrial zone (no noise or smells) across the street and rather poor living area on the other side (we even observed some prostitution along the street after 9pm). directly on the street to padua, a trip along the channle which I really can recommend (a lot of fantastic buildings along the water and street about 35km to padua). so reasonable price for a quiet modern clean room with free parking (no breakfast). good busconnection to venice but rather poor surroundings.
