Our second stay at this hotel, excellent location if you are travelling out of Marco Polo airport. Easy bus ride into Venice for our last evening in Italy before catching a morning flight out. Good value for the money, the rooms are a bit on the small side but they were very clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Hotel Mary is in the perfect location for travelers starting their trip to Italy in Venice and then continuing on with a rental car to other cities. The hotel is only a few minutes from the airport and provides free parking. There is a bus stop around the corner and the bus number 5 takes you to the Venice central station where you can catch a water bus or start your walking tour. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. We took a quadruple room for 2 adults and 2 children. It included 2 double beds - one of which was a fold out couch. The room was cramped but we spent so little time in the room that it didn't matter. The breakfast was very nice - my kids loved the fresh hot rolls. We definitely enjoyed our stay at Hotel Mary.

This was a perfect hotel only a 5 minute ride from Venice and very nice accomodations. Made our trip super pleasent! Great price since i am a student.

We arrived in Venice after a long flight from Australia. By the time we were ready to drive out of the rental car lot it was pitch dark. A wrong turn led us onto the autostrada heading for Trieste. Somehow we managed to find the Via Orlando and after driving for some distance we were relieved to see the Hotel Mary. The man was very friendly and helpful despite the relative lateness of our arrival. Our room on the first floor was small but clean, quiet and comfortable. We were able to park the car in the yard at the side of the hotel. Next morning breakfast was excellent with fresh rolls and the man sliced ham for those who wanted it. Later, loading our bags into the car, I learned that the car next to ours had a flat tyre. When we went to check out we had to wait a little while the hotel man changed the guests' tyre for them. In the daylight it was easy to find the autostrada and head for the Italian Lakes. The Mary was a good place to spend our first night in Italy.

The staff were very helpful, went out of their way to be of service. We would recommend this hotel for the quality of service and it's proximity to the airport as well as the ease and speed of public transport to Venice.

Family of 4, children ages 8 and 11, stayed in a quad room. The room was small - like 4 beds crammed into a double room. The remains of a dozen or so squashed mosquitos were on the wall just under the light as if a previous guest had left the light on and window open attracting bugs but the cleaning crew was unable to remove the stains. Aside from that, the room and bathroom were clean. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful with all of our questions and requests. At breakfast, they offered fresh sliced meat and cheese to order and espresso/cappuccino. We only stayed one night to visit Venice and this was just fine for that purpose. The bus stop was 50 meters from the hotel and this was a great way to see Venice as the ride was only 15 minutes. The airport is about 5 minutes away by car. There is a take out pizza place across the street where you can get a pizza for 5-8 Euros. Not many other restaurants near by. In summary, the negatives were the squashed bug remains on the wall, the small room size, and the lack of restaurants within walking distance. The positives were the staff, the breakfast, the proximity to the bus/airport. I consider this to be a good value for the money if you are only staying one or two nights.

While we stayed at a number of different B and B's while in Italy this last trip, Hotel Mary provided us with our best accommodations -- spacious room, wonderful breakfast, very helpful staff, prime location for being off the island of Venice.

The reviews of the property on the internet were very acurate in regards to location to the airport and the quality of the hotel. I had an early morning flight the next morning and I wanted something close to the airport. The night before I stayed in Venice and took the bus from Venice to the Hotel. The cost was low as I had a three-day pass for the water bus and ground bus. I was able to take the bus to the airport (1.10 euro)which was much cheaper than taking an cab or the limo service (est. 32.00 - 45-00 euro). The bus service begins at 4:53am and has room for suitcases. The only problem I had with the hotel was with the front desk. I left a wake-up call for 4am, which I did not receive and when I went to check out, I had to find the clerk who was sleeping in one of the sitting areas. If I did not have my own clock, I would have missed my flight. However, this was not enough to keep me from visiting this property again. By the way, the pizza restaurant that everyone speaks about is outstanding! And the Italian ice cream across the street is the cheapeat (1.00 euro) I have seen in Italy.

The room was fine/service excellent. A bit difficult to get to and find but an inexpensive and short city bus ride to the airport from the hotel was a grat advantage. A fine spot for an overnight stay.

We selected Hotel Mary as it was very near the Marco Polo airport and we had a very early flight to catch home. The gentleman running the front desk could not have been more helpful from explaining the public transport to Venice, to arranging a van to the airport, to getting my wife scrambled eggs for breakfast! The hotel was neat and clean. No frills.

Spartan facilities seemed more like a hospital than a hotel. Initially staff seemed rather unresponsive to our arrival but turned out to be helpful in organizing early morning ride to airport. Hotel decor lacking in charm and warmth.

This is a great little hotel just a short commute from the heart of Venice. Very reasonably priced - our rate even included breakfast. The only downside to this hotel was that our room overlooked a rather busy city street on which heavy truck traffic passed at all hours. Friends of mine staying at the same hotel, but in a room not facing the street, did not notice any noise from the traffic. So, if possible, request a room that does not overlook the street!

Worked very well for me, as I was travelling by car and was able to park just across the street and take a bus to central Venice, just a block away (excellent connection by the way). You can buy bus tickets at the hotel. Check-in was a bit of a problem (just before midnight), as the receptionist could not hear the door bell/phone ring. Luckily there was another couple also trying to get in, so we eventually made enough noise to get noticed, anyway be careful with your check-in time. There's an excellent 'forno' just across the street. I would definitely return.

Wonderful hotel. Bus route on corner by hotel is very easy to use and 10 minutes to Venice. There are a few good places to have dinner but you can see all there is to the town in a 20 minute stroll. If you want a well run, clean hotel with an easy commute to Venice this is your place.

Good location to the airport, a taxi was 17 Euros to the hotel, the #5 Bus 1 Euro. We used the bus to commute to both the aiport and venice with no problems. The standard rooms were average size for Venice but were clean and adequatly furnished. The staff was very helpful with transportation and general questions. Across the street we found good Pizza (Euro Pizza) and around the corner near the #5 bus stop we found a gift shop (Pierrot) with good variety, the best prices we found compared to Venice and they gift wrapped for free. Overall a good place to stay, nothing fancy but the hotel was clean, quiet and the staff helpful.

Qualche evidente neo.

The staff at the Hotel Mary were very helpful and went out of their way to answer any questions. The hotel was in very close proximity to public transport that took us into Venice. The breakfasts supplied each morning were the best we had in our travels around Europe. Although the hotel is a little expensive we would still recommend it to others and we would stay there again.

This was a good place to stay to get to the airport for an early flight. The rooms were well furnished and the location was @ 3miles from the airport. The desk clerk was very helpful in helping us secure our baording passes, recommending a place to eat and arranging for an early (3:30 am) cab. we wished we could have stayed for breakfast!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Mary. The rooms were cozy, although a bit noisy due to being directly on the street. The staff was most welcoming and helpful with questions and suggestions. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The town of Campalto was charming and easy to manage. It was also very convenient to Venice and the airport. Although staying in Venice would be wonderful, not having to carry all the luggage on the bus and the water bus was much better.

Nice hotel very convenient for our early morning departure from Marco Polo. Also very easy to get into Venice from the hotel using the local bus service - about a 15 minute ride. Much cheaper then driving in and paying for parking.

It weas incredibly easy to reach Venice from this hotel with a reliable and cheap, comfortable bus service, an efficient map provided by reception, and no question too difficult for them to answer. It made the last 2 days of a trip around W.& Central Europe something very special and my wife and I could not criticise any aspect of the hotel including the copious breakfast provided. We shall certainly be staying there again and seeing something of the interior of Veneto.

Proximity to the Venice airport is the only reason to stay here. We had a very early flight and this was very close. Still we paid 25 euro for the short car service ride, so no bargain.

Hospitality was very nice, and also the man that accepted us offered us a place in the hotel's parking. There's a bus for Venice 2 minutes walk from the hotel, and it takes about 15 minutes to arrive there. Definitely a good place to stay during the visit to Venice!

We found the property inviting inside. a fabulous local pizzeria, out the main door, turn left to the light, make a left and walk down about 100 meters and it's on your right side. Locals eat here, great food and friendly service. They played American oldies music at night when we had dinner. The hotel was a perfect location for the airport, 10 minutes and both the day and night clerks were very helpful and spoke English. The room was clean and comfortable and worth the price. I would recommend this hotel highly.

Very convenient to airport but not necessarily to Venice. However it met the needs for us. Not much to see or do in Campalo so would not recommend for long stay (we stayed one night). Staff was very helpful--arranged a van taxi for the 6 of us to go to Venice to meet our cruise also steered us to a good restaurant. Would recommend to anyone wanting to have a hotel available shortly after a long flight from the USA and not incur the high cost of Venice hotels.

This was the best location to stay in for Venice. We were 10 minutes from the airport - either take the # 5 bus to Mestre, or a 20 euro cab ride. The same bus goes into Venice and takes about 10 minutes, bus service every 30 minutes. People staying in Venice itself have to manoevre luggage etc on the water taxis, and when we were there in July this seemed to be frustrating. The rooms were modern, exceptionally clean, and quiet. Breakfast was the best we had, because in addition to the usual breads, cold meats and cheeses they would also cook bacon and eggs if you wanted it. The value for money on this hotel was exceptional. For a GREAT dinner, there is a takeout pizza place just across the road where all the locals seemed to go. Wood burning oven, park next to it to have your picnic! As you can tell, I highly recommend this hotel!

What a find! Silvestro and his family treated us with warmth and attentiveness. (And bacon and eggs for breakfast). Just a free (when you buy a vaporetto tourist ticket) 15 minute bus ride to the piazzale Roma and the rest of Venice beckons! I HIGHLY recommend this gem to anyone who wants to see Venice on a tight budget. You can enjoy the romance of the city for one third the price. We will be back.

The staff at the Hotel Mary were wonderful. The room was nice and clean. The only negative was the especially small shower. The location was ideal for an early flight as it is very close to the airport. Also, the bus stop was just outside the door, so getting to Venice was quick and easy.

Our flight arrived late into Marco Polo and yet the manager was up, awaiting us with an enthusiastic greeting. We took a taxi but you can also take the #5 bus at 1 Euro and it stops directly across from the Mary. The room and bathroom were spacious and it had an small northern Italian feel. Compalto ( the town )is a place to relax after the tourist day/night. The buffet breakfast was tasty with courteous staff. Guests were multi-national and friendly as well. This is an excellant hotel if you are flying into Marco Polo airport and don't want to stay in the crowded Mestre or Venice and want a relaxed place after the sights. You can take a 1 Euro #5 bus all the way to Venice during the day/evening as well as back. If you'd like the Water Taxi experience of heading into Venice, take the #5 back to the airport and then take a Public Water Taxi from Marco Polo ( about 10 Euro per person )to St. Mark's Square. I'd definitely stay here again. Unlike other Venetian hotels, there are no hidden charges. This was the best hotel/breakfast value you can get.

Das Hotel ist mit dem Bus vom Flughafen und Venedig gut zu erreichen. Haltestelle direkt am Hotel. Transfer alle 20 Min. Allerdings liegt es an einer sehr befahrenen Straße. This has to be my warmest recommendation of my trip (in a low season period). PROS: Dedicated service, art deco ambiance, convenient location and easy Venezia access, breakfast, the fat cat on the floor, great value CONS: Hard to find (use road number instead of name), limited parking.

We needed a room that was in close proximity to the Marco Polo Airport. It was a last-minute reservation done very quickly, but we were very pleasantly surprised. It was a short bus ride to the airport from the hotel, and cost 1 euro per person. Bus tickets were available at the hotel, and the bus departed just around the corner. The lady at the desk was very helpful and informative. The hotel had an air of personal, family-run service. The room was not very spacious, but was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast was self-serve with no hot cooked items, but it was substantial and varied.

We were greeted in excellent English and provided with all the information we needed to get into Venice. Transportation was readily accessible and easy to use. Parking was free and spacious. A satisfactory cold breakfast buffet was provided. Our room was clean but very tiny for three people. The bathroom was immaculate but the shower was uncomfortably small even for our thin travelling companion. Air conditioning was great! We found a great, inexpensive restaurant about three blocks from the hotel (go out the front, turn left at the first corner and keep walking until you see it on your right). The nearby local bar is unfriendly and the closest restaurants are outrageouly priced, but exploration pays off. There is little to do in the evening, so stay in Venice 'til the last buses leave. For convenience, value, and service, the Mary is a great deal.
