We were very pleased with our stay at Marco Polo. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. They assisted us with suggestions for local public transportation and enchanting places to visit. The gentleman working the day shift was even kind enough to make some confirmations at our next stop for me. The rooms are small, but well organized and have ample space for visiting the area. Breakfast was included and had plenty of options. It was fresh and tasty. We originally only booked one night, but decided to stay a second. The price on our second nights stay was 40 euro higher when I checked on line, but when we asked at the desk they actually gave us a price 50 euro cheaper. We highly recommend Marco Polo, I only wish I had made a note of the staff members by name to better offer them our compliments.

The hotel was OK.. The wifi worked only in the lobby area, not in the rooms. Our main dissatisfaction was with the staff. Simple requests were not answered, much less promptly or adequately.

Beware of the male receptionist (about 178cm in height) in a light grey suit who was always on duty during our short stay. My family & I witnessed an incident where he was "shouting" at a group of Asian hotel guests over a misunderstanding. Unbelievable!! First time I've encountered a hotel employee berating guests in a hostile manner. When I complained about our room's airconditioning, his response was; impossible! This employee is a LIABILITY to the hotel's owners & Trip advisors rating. Why did his female colleague refuse to give us his name?? Except for our experience with this employee, our stay at the hotel was generally satisfactory.

Hotel that offers good value for the money and is located near the Venice Airport with approx 15-20 minutes drive to Piazzale Roma in Venice A good place for the overnight stay before an early flight or for visiting Venice and trying to save some money on accomodation One correction:Wi-Fi is free only for 1 hour. However it worked very well (connection and speed) and the charge for 24 hours of 5 Euro seems reasonable

We only stayed one night as we were returning from a cruise, however this hotel was excellent in every way. Although it is a little way out of the centre of Venice the bus service is ideal and cheap. Very easy to travel by bus to either the port or the airport and we would certainly recommend this hotel for anyone either on a city break or an overnight stay. In fact we have already done so to several friends. Break in the dining room was very too.

The hotel is nice and well located. 100 mts from the bus stop that conects with airport and venice. We rented two rooms. I recomend to specify if you want no smokers rooms. Breakfast was good and the staff was very kind. You have some places to eat near the hotel. It's very easy to go to Venice from the hotel, you have a bus every 15 or 20 min and you can buy the cards for the bus in the frontdesk (same price as in the tobacco stores)

Nice hotel but the airconditiong makes an irritating low pitch hum. Takes a bus ride and a ferry ride to get to Venice. It is convenient if you have a short stay and need to get to the airport on time. Shuttle available at a price. We had to leave on a Sunday and the manager was kind enought to take us to the airport himself.

Didn't like that you had to pay for wifi. Also that this website lists shuttle service to the airport, but it's a hidden 15 euro charge. Hotel was good price and easy to get to Venice. Staff was accommodating as you can get. I would recommend it for something easy.

Clean and quiet. Most importantly, one minute walk from two different bus lines connecting to the center of Venice. Hotel has its own car park, parking is included in the price. Excellent buffet breakfast included in the price. I will stay there again. Highly recommended!

Clean, good quality breakfast, friendly atomosphere, polite and qualified staff. I really enjoyed it. Silent: there are two types of room, the ones which are silent (back rooms) and the ones which are not (opened to street). Location s not close to visit areas but easily buses take you there. I was well enjoyable.

Excellent place, the staff is very kind and the location is perfect, in front of the bus tickets seller, and the bus stop is just a block away (300 meters aprox), and the bus just gets to venice in 15 minutes!. this bus stop also lets you at the Marco Polo airport, excellent location in about 30 minutes. I would definitely stay again at Marco Polo Hotel if I had to be on Venice again, very nice place, the breakfast is excellent, and the location could't be better. I confirmed the advise from people that went to venice before, about not staying in the island, because it is very unconfortable and the hotels are very old. Statying near the island is definitely the smart option.

We recently stayed a few days at the Marco Polo Hotel in Campalto before boarding our cruise. We stayed for two days and visited Venice. Then left the Marco Polo to visit relatives in Bresica for one night. No problem leaving our luggage with the hotel, as we came back for one night before boarding the ship. The hotel is about 5 minutes from the Venice Airport and about 15 minutes from Venice. Very convenient. We took the number 5 bus from the airport to the hotel. It lets you off about ½ a block away. We also took the number 5 to Venice two days. It was easy and inexpensive. The Marco Polo is a small Italian hotel. It is not a Hilton or Hyatt. If that is what you are looking for, then the Marco Polo is not for you. However, it is very inexpensive and if you choose not to stay in Venice it is very easy to take the bus in for a visit. The rooms are small, but very clean and bright. The front desk clerk Orlando, was wonderful. He took the time to explain the bus system, gave us suggestions for restaurants in the area and was just a genuine nice guy. Breakfast is included in the rate. It's self serve, but you have a variety off coffee, juice, cereal, hard boiled eggs, pastry, toast, etc. Everything you need to start the day. They also have a bar, which we didn't use, but looks like they have anything you would want. They offer shuttle service to and from the airport. We had no problem getting to the airport for our 6AM flight using this service. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it as a place to stay outside of Venice, but still have the convenience of being close enough to visit.

The hotel is an excellent choice if you want to spend few days in Venice and avoid the expensive prices from Venice. It is just one minute far from the bus station from where you can get to Venice in 10 minutes. It is a very nice hotel with clean and nice rooms. The internet is not that great, but we didn't care after all :) We really enjoyed our staying here and we would surely chose it again.

With a 7am departure I needed a hotel close to the airport. The #5 bus stops 100 feet from the entrance and service begins at 0452 so I had plenty of time to spare. I did not take breakfast at the hotel so can not comment on the food service. There is a computer in the lounge that is free to use. My one word of caution is that you reserve a room that does not face the street. Every bus from the airport passes directly in front of the hotel and it is noisy day and night. My room was huge and the bath adequate but spotless. I would definitely stay here again but in an alley-view room.

When we arrived I told the receptionist that our television was not working. After several times of trying what she told me her response was I am not a technician. So no tv the first two days. The door used by some of the guest and the employees would start banging shut at 6am making imposable to sleep.

Overall a very clean, functional hotel. Hotel is just 1 minute walk from a bus stop. The bus takes you into Venice in 10 minutes. It is very convenient. A very comfortable stay at a very good price. Only two things I am not entirely happy with: 1. Internet access - first hour is free. After that, 5 Euros for 24 hours. This was not made clear at time of booking, and also a bit expensive compared to similar hotels. 2. Hot water seem to be not very good. Hot water starts getting cold after around 5 minutes. This is a repeat issue for the two days I stayed there.

Hotel was spacious, spotless and in a terrific location...right on fast route to airport, S. Lucia train station and Piazzali Roma. Located in nice neighborhood. Staff was extremely professional and friendly. Enjoyed staying here away from the hordes of tourists in Venice. Only downside was that because the bus serves major tourist destinations, it's usually extremely crowded going in either direction. (PS The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of selections!)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Marco Polo. Lara was extremely helpful to us. He went out of his way to provide useful information and answered all of our questions regarding touring Venice. He gave us an electrical adapter when ours wouldn't work. The breakfast buffet at the Hotel Marco Polo was fantastic..the fruit, yogurt, bread, meat and cheese was fresh and delicious. We especially loved the apricot juice. Lara graciously cooked scrambled eggs for our group of four in the morning. The Hotel Marco Polo is located about 15 minutes from Venice. You are able to take a bus into Venice, with the bus stop just across the street and around the corner. You may purchase bus tickets at the tobacco shop located directly across the street from the hotel, which makes it easy. We give the Hotel Marco Polo two thumbs up! We highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel itself was modern looking and relatively clean. There's no air conditioning so we had to leave the windows open. Right outside our windows were busy streets day and night so there was a lot of noise. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was more than what I expected (from the reviews I read previously). Overall, this hotel was a great deal!

Marco Polo is close to bus stops for Venice and airport. We had to "search" twice for desk clerk to help us but employees were all friendly and helpful. There is good food/gelato within walking distance. Breakfast was great. Our only real complaint is the beds were rock hard.

Although the hotel isnt too close to Venice, the bus stop that takes you to Venice is only 2 minutes away from the hotel. The bus takes 15 minutes to get to Venice and back. It is also recommended not to stay in Venice itself due to the enormous amount of tourists visiting the city. You can also get to the hotel by bus from the airport if you dont have a car. The only thing I didnt like about the hotel is that they don't offer a free wi fi connection. Overall this is a pretty new and nice hotel and I would recommend it very much.
