Hotel Kappa - Mestre

Everything around Venice is very expensive, so given that I think the price was very good--anywhere else I would say it was too much. The breakfast was very good, yogurt, cereal/muesli, cheese, bread, sweet rolls, good coffee...I know someone who was pickpocketed on the bus that goes from Mestre to Venice, so watch out for that, but if you are careful, it's a good place for those who want to spend a bit less. The area around the hotel felt safe and looked pleasant.

Excellent hotel for a one night stop within a short driving distance from Marco Polo airport. Breakfast and room comfort/cleanliness excellent, and represented very good value for money.

A very helpfull staff. I was there for only one day because i had to take a plane at the San Marco airport. They explained me perfectly what navetta/vaporetta to take to go to Venice city and come back. Later on they also gave me some advice of a great pizzeria in the vicinity. Perfect service and a great room for an extremely low price!

Location was good because we could take the local bus into Venice. The length of time it took, however was not accurate because it took about 45 minutes. The buses tended to be crowded but clean and comfortable. The hotel which is located in Mestre did not have alot to offer and it was difficult to find a place to eat. There is a little restaurant just up from the hotel near the railway station that was quite good. The continental breakfast was adequate. The parking was limited but secure. We parked the car and used the public transit to go into Venice. The staff was very helpful and kind. I was not feeling that well and they were most accommodating. They were helpful with directions and tried their best to fix a problem with their internet so that we could use email. The hotel is small but has recently been redecorated. There is no elevator and the shower is small. The area is quiet. The rooms are not large but are standard for Italy.

Staying in Mestre is an alternative for those arriving by car and/or those who couldn't find an affordable accommodation in Venice itself. The bus stop is indeed very near, however the ride from hotel to P.le Roma, Venezia takes much longer than advertised quarter an hour. On average it took 30 minutes (longest 48 min on Friday afternoon, fastest 22 min at night, ignoring some of the red traffic lights). In general you should allow an hour from leaving the hotel to an appointment somewhere in Venezia (including waiting for bus and vaporetto). The hotel itself is nice, but we found the bells on nearby churches very laud and very annoying.

We stayed one night before an early morning flight from Venice airport. Very helpful staff, even got us breakfast and a taxi at 4AM!

The accommodation was great and its location to public transport to get to Venice was excellent. The direction on the little brochure as to how to get there could have been a bit more detailed as we intially could not get to the correct off ramp. We were fortunate to get the correct direction from the owner in a cafe in Mestre. Other than that the place was excellent.The staff were very helpful and addressed any concerns we had immediately.

A very good choice for proximity to the Marco Polo airport. Room was comfortable and spacious and staff helpful. My only criticism would be the extra charge of 6€ required for secure parking.

The hotel is very well located, just ten minutes to Venice, and transportation just across the street. Employes are helpful and nice. A great alternative at good price.

The room was clean and comfortable. the power of shower water was low. i didn't feel it was so close to the bus stop as mentioned on HP, but it's ok. good exercise to walk.

A very pleasant stay for business purposes with quick easy access to the Autostada, the airport and to Venice island. Having the booking confirmed immediately was great as we were travelling at little notice.

Good location with interesting local life. Eating, drinking and bus transport good. Car parking on site. Rooms very small.
