My wife and I picked this hotel for our trip to Vinice. A wonderful place to stay away from Venice itself. Our room had a private restroom and the room also had AC. It is a 10 minute walk from the train station, and a few minute walk to the bus stop for the bus to Venice. Very friendly and helpful staff that also speak English. I would stay here again for our next trip to Vinice.

This hotel is an old house and has an old flair. It is surrounded by a nice garden. The bathrooms are modernized and the rooms are clean. The personnel is friendly and speaks several languages (we recognized italian, english and french). Wi-Fi for free and the possibily to park outside at the street (which is safe) or in the hotel's parking area (then you have to leave your car keys at the reception) for free as well. Breakfast is OK. The bread is predominantly single-packed (not fresh) which is not so nice for the price of 7 EUR. The overall price-performance ratio could be better. We only stayed one night but wanted to stay longer but the hotel was fully booked.

Villa Graziella is a good place to stay for a short Venezia family visit. No luxury and a very small room for a family of 4. especially our bathroom was very small. Beautiful house and garden and very helpfull staff. Free parking inside the garden gate. Just across the street a Cafe and a Tabak, where you can buy a 24 hours (20€) or 36 hours (25€) ticket to unlimited transport by ACTV train, bus, tram and vaporetto. Busstop for nr 6 and 6/ is only 10 minutes away (Viale Paolucci), and 10 minutes later you are at the landing stage of the vaporetto at Piazza Roma/Canale Grande. Also only 10 minutes away from the hotel you find a wonderful pizzeria “Al Giardinetto” in Via Giuseppe Zambelli.

Wow, what a lovely hotel! It was one of the favorite accommodations on my family's ten day trip of Italy. The reception staff was extremely professional and helpful. The first night we arrived around 9 p.m. and got a great recommendation on a nearby restaurant, which was delicious and had a really nice local feeling -- far from the tourist trap that I would expect from Venice. Speaking of Venice, we didn't know at first how we'd like staying on the mainland, but in the end we wouldn't have done it any other way. We'd recommend anyone to do it this way. The hotel is extremely close to a direct bus to the island, and the tickets are very economical and actually available for purchase at the front desk. The hotel was also close to a nice supermarket, which allowed us to stock up on fresh produce and snacks for our days in Venice, as well as anything else we might have forgotten to pack. The rooms were extremely clean and very comfortable. The location, as already mentioned, was peaceful yet convenient. And the overall feel of the hotel was quiet and family-oriented, much better than a big hotel experience. Grazie per tutto. Spero di poter tornare presto!

Hotel Anitca Villa Graziella is a pleasant, quiet, clean hotel. Breakfast is good value. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Location from Venice is excellent, but would like more details of where to eat in local vicinity. We were only told about one restaurant, which was a good one and within short walking distance, but area is very quiet at night, so not too keen on wandering around unfamiliar area when it gets dark. One little thing with the hotel facilities - I know it may not be the Italian way - but would have liked a kettle in the room with tea/coffee available.

The hotel has a beautiful garden. The walk to the bus to Venice is simple and easy. The hotel does a good job of setting you up with bus tickets and helping you navigate the neighborhood. The bus ride into Venice is pretty quick. The hotel is right across from a grocery store that is well stocked. Rick Steeves doesn't seem to like Mestre much but I thought it was a pretty decent town...much more "real" then downtown Venice. Breakfest was good but if you want to be cheap or eat light you can do well at the grocery store or some of the neighborhood stores a couple blocks away, including a bakery.

The hotel was a 15 minute walk from Mestre station and was easy to find given the instructions in the booking info. A tidy home run affair with a small nice garden and dining hall, the experience was fairly pleasant, if a little neutral. The staff are pretty helpful. My only crib is that the rooms are kinda small and so is the bathroom. Overall a good experience and would be recommended to people looking for a good yet relatively inexpensive place to stay in Venice.

OK little B&B, our room was adequately clean, bed was fine. Hotel isn’t in the greatest neighborhood, but is very close to the bus stops to go to/from Venice. Breakfast was disappointing; having very little to offer- you are better off saving the 6 Euro per person and going to the nice local coffee shop located on the way to the bus stop. Bus tickets (1 Euro per person per direction) and directions to/from Venice are available at the B&B. Limited parking is available inside the property gates, but is sufficient for the size of the place. No Elevator, which was slightly annoying having to carry our bags up 2 floors through a rather narrow staircase. Overall our stay was fine, some of the staff is very nice and all speak English.

Excellent hotel just outside of Venice. This was the best hotel or hostel that we have stayed at in terms of information available. They had a map detailing exactly where the bus was to get into Venice (10 minute bus ride for 1 euro) as well as restaurants in the area. Very well laid out and extremely helpful staff. Free internet access on their computer, grocery store around the corner and like a 5 minute walk to the train station! Very good experience overall!

This is small, seemingly family run hotel on the mainland, not Venice island itself. It's situated in a dull suburb, but the staff have a big map in the foyer that makes getting the bus to the island a piece of cake. They also sell the bus tickets! The rooms were fine, but the staff were exceptional. All of them were so helpful and friendly and spoke fantastic English, qualities I didn't find that common on my stay in Italy. One of the girls also spoke pretty good French. A great place to stay.

The staff were friendly, and provided excellent service with a smile. On the day we left, the hotel allowed us to park and leave our luggage for hours after we had checked out. A very pleasent experience, one I would recommend very much. The bus route is close to the hotel, a 3 minute walk, and the hotel lent us a book (at not cost) for sightseeing in Venice. We had a triple room for 3 adults, which consisted of a double bed and one of the bunk beds that was pulled out from the wall. Everything was clean, including the bathroom, except my sister realized the next morning there were little brown ants all over her bed. We thought there were probably kids in the room prior who had food. The room, however, was new looking and so was the bathroom. The air conditioning does not stay on without your room key in the slot, so when you're out it's not on and hot when you return to the room. We paid an extra 5 euro for a 'buffet' breakfast, which consisted of packaged cheese, fresh rolls, packaged croissants & toast, butter, jellies, hard boiled eggs and coffee made to order. Not exactly buffet but more typical Italian. The location was outside of Venice, which was fine b/c there is direct bus service (takes about 20 min.) for one euro right around the corner. The lady at the front desk spoke great English and was very helpful with the buses and even sold bus tickets to us, as well as a sheet with bus and Venice "water taxi" info. A good place to stay if you don't want to pay the ridiculous prices for old worn down hotels in Venice. Very charming exterior, too.

I and my wife rate our general stay at hotel Villa Graziella almost excellent. I would have been excellent if the breakfast had been the he most common for turists travelling in modern Europe and especially in Italy: More nutritious breakfast with real bread made in process of yeast - what italians and most continental inhabitants eat each day and are used to eat, something else than just marmelade such as cheese or meat on bread, to that yughurt or processed sour milk, orange juice and boiled eggs. Car park could have been more easy to use without the risk me to have change place for it if another guest must use his car. To that, we hade some difficulties to find your hotel, dispite correct adress and travel plan. We hade to ask twice for correct way to take just before Venice. But, overall, we are most satisfied with you and your competent personel. Nice room with air conditioning. Most regards, Doctor Lars Hellström, Sweden

We found the hotel a good cheap hotel. The description for the bus from the airport to the hotel was not correct. Last stop for bus 15 was a few hundred meters from the hotel.

The staff was very accomodating and the breakfast featured excellent coffee. We enjoyed the nearby shops and made it into Venice effortlessly and with a 3 day transportation voucher. The only public area was the dining room; a small and quaint inn, but we would stay here again. (It was a little difficult to find, off the freeway, but we made it in the end!)

Stayed there recently. Good place if you are driving to the Venice area as parking is included. Bus to Venice doesn't take too long (about 15 minutes or so). Overall, this is a good value.

Very convenient place to leave the car parked and take the bus into Venice. As soon as we arrived we were advised which tickets to buy for the bus and water-buses. We especially liked being able to get drinks during the evening (tea, coffee, etc) to take to the room.

Villa Graziella did not disappoint at all. Very welcoming & helpful, cosy atmosphere ("convivial" is the appropriate French word).Efficient public transport to Venice. A bit of a nasty smell in the bathroom, but once you opened the windows this quickly disappeared and it's NOT the hotel owner's fault.

Stay for two nights in Mid-July 2004. Excellent place to stay if you don't want to be right in Venice. The bus ride to Venice is about 10 minutes and the bus stop is close. We are a family of 5 and needed two rooms. A triple (rm 3) and a double (rm 2). The triple had two twins and a cot making it a little tight on space. The Double was fine. Bathrooms are very modern and the rooms are clean and comfortable - Quiet A/C. Staff was extremely friendly and hardworking. You can tell they want to make your visit pleasant. There was some work occurring on the outside of the building that started at 8am, otherwise the place is quiet w/o street noise. (It's in a neighborhood setting). Arrived via car - parking was free in a gated driveway next to the place. I left the car on the street right in front because of the building work. It was right in front of the door and I had no worries. Would recommend highly if you are not staying right in the heart of Venice.

Villa Graziella is very convenient for day trips into Venice via bus; the stop is nearby, and it's a short ride. It is also very economical and provides free parking in the driveway (you may need to leave your keys at the desk). The staff was welcoming and helpful. But the rooms are very small, and the shower facility was a wrap-around curtain between the sink and the bidet! Amazingly, this worked adequately without flooding the bathroom floor, but it is spartan at best. An adequate option for the budget conscious.

Very nice people. Excellent informations on what to do to facilitate our visit. Great coffee in the patio. Small room but very clean. The area is really not touristic. It is great surprise to have such a quiet hotel in the middle of a residential area. Recommende it. Advise: make sure you get detail directions because you can pass by and not see the hotel.

The directions to find this hotel were really clear and all the email communications with the proprietor were welcoming and helpful. We were a little late in turning up but they were waiting up for us. The room was a double with a put u up bed but was perfect for us and our 9 year old. The directions and help to visit venice and even go to our next location were excellent and we could not have asked for a nicer stay. Would definately use again

Villa Graziella is an oasis of civilisation in a rather run-down suburb. We were glad to find somewhere near enough to Venice (a 1 Euro bus trip into the city) at a reasonable price. Our only problem was that we had to decide whether to sleep with the draughty airconditioning on, or to cope with the 40 degree temperatures that were around at the time. The host was extremely helpful with local information.
