Hotel Altieri - Favaro Veneto, Mestre

It was great 2 nights which is spent on this hotel, it is near the bus station you can get bus 19 to catch this hotel from mestre station or from vencia santa lucia station. the people is so welecominig and very helpful. i suggegt anyone need to stay in venice stay in this hotel. the bus was take about 20 min to reach venice by bus 19 i hope i go back again

We stayed at Altieri for one night in September, 2011. This was a nice, quiet hotel with excellent breakfast and helpful, friendly staff. If you're not planning to live in the center of Venice this place is a good choice. The bus station is near the hotel and you can get to the center in about 20 minutes. Though you may spend extra time for getting bus tickets in local tobacco shops, which on weekends may open a bit later. We would recommend Altieri to travelers in Venice.

Easy to find, breakfast is nice. the wifi is hard to sometimes hard to connect in the room, but ok in the loby.

Although the rooms were older and smaller, the breakfast served a great variety of foods.By far the best thing about the hotel was the information and advice shared by the owner: she shared maps, routes, suggested tours, what to avoid, restaurants in Venice that were recommended. She was very knowledgable, friendly and helpful. The staff were also very hospitable, but she spoke English fluently and was a wealth of insider knowledge about Venice - both schedule-wise for buses and boats, and costs, sights, even walking routes. This saved us a lot of time and money; we were very impressed, since we only had three days to spend in Venice.

The hotel ALTIERI in Mestre wasn’t that fantastic, very small rooms and not too clean. I can’t understand why they have 3 stars, this looks more like 1.5 stars. The breakfast was good. It’s OK for one night, but that’s the only thing I can say. Probably due to the high season it’s not easy to find better for a decent price.

For the second time, we were very pleased to spend 2 nights again in this hotel. Fine welcome and contact with the owner and his family. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and the parking place (free)allow you to sleep in a total serenity

A nice hotel close to the airport. Take the bus and it's no problem to make your flight. I enjoyed the quiet area the hotel is in. The staff is very warm and friendly. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again. The staff can give you excellent choices for dining.

Host provided good information on routes to visit in Venice, very helpful. Simple bus connection to Venice, a short distance from Marco Polo Airport (arrive early to beat the line-ups). Although breakfast was good and plentiful, a "bag" breakfast option for early departures would be a nice feature.

The hotel is close to public transportation (to go to Venice). Free breakfast and free Internet are very valuable in Europe, and this hotel offers both. Owners and employees are very nice and warm. We recommend it.

We stayed at the hotel for 1 night, that is, spent less than 24 hours. Nevertheless, we grade the hotel high - it is clean, comfortable, with good breakfast. The room is small but we returned to the hotel from Venice only by night, and in the morning, after breakfast, checked out. The bathroom is also small but clean, having practically all the things needed - soap, shower gel, hair-dryer, set of long and short towels. At night, there was no noice around the hotel as it is situated in a restful spot. It was convenient to reach Venice as well as the railway station in Mestre by bus. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend, and, moreover, will stay there in our next visit to Venice.

Clean, comfortable room with a good mattress. Breakfast room was lovely, excellent food and presented well. Staff polite and helpful.

This hotel is on the number 4 and 19 bus line to Venice. Number 4 stops very often and takes over an hour to get to Venice. Number 19 is express and takes about 35 minutes to get to Venice.

Improve breakfast quality and assortment

Giorgio at the front desk was outstanding. He was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was very nice, plenty of choices and everything was fresh. The rooms were a great value for the money and the hotel was very convenient to the bus stop which got us to Venice in 15-20 minutes. I would highly recommend.

We had a early flight to catch, and hotel provided wake up call and arranged taxi (20 euros) in good order. We were able to have coffee before departure, too early for breakfast. Get to the hotel from Venice bus station near train station Sta Lucia on bus 19, 4 or 4/ (about 2 euros). Mall with large supermarket is about 400 meters from hotel, with only real restaurant just past the mall. Other small pizza and other stores nearer hotel. Of sixteen florescent bulbs in overhead and bedside lights and bathroom, three worked, so room rather dim.

Room was out dated but spacious. Would use again as it was very handy to the airport.

A well-presented hotel, with a quiet atmosphere. Had a little trouble finding it though due to the map being a bit simplistic, but looking closely it was correct.

I've stayed in the hotel only one night and I choosed it because it was close to the airport and in a good place to begin the trip I planned to do. The objective was reached.

I recommend this hotel to every body who wish to visit Venice for one/two days. Staff is very pleasant and open to explain how to get to the Venice. Ratio for value/quality is excellent.

The best of the hotel is a) to be near to Venecia. There is an bus stop very near to the hotel. The bus spends 30-40 min to go to the center of Venecia. 1,8€ go. b) to be near to the aerport: 4 km. So, it is and unexpensive option for to visite Venecia and for to be nera the aerport Marco Polo. The price is good, the brekfast is OK, but the room was not enough clean, at least the floor. So, it is OK for one or twise days.

Relatively large room, very clean. Very good service from staff, obtained good advice for my journey in Venice. Hotel location is practical and easy to find. Bus stop nearby (with terminus at piazza roma in venice). Excellent price/quality. Highly recommended accommodation.

Staff was very good and friendly!!! Gave a good information how to get to Venice and what to see there. Parking at the hotel is very convinient part. Price of the room is VERY reasonable! The only part is that they had posting "Don't eat in the room"... so we could not take out pizza or something. Strange rule.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights on our visit to Venice,but were a little dissapointed-clean, but modest room, no wireless in it,very poor breakfast.The hotel is situated in the small subburb of Mestre and there were no restaurants nearness to it to have dinner at nights. The advantages vere parking and the bus station near to the hotel.

Absolutely everything. This hotel had better quality per euro spent than any other hotels in our long trip over France and Italy. Guys are great, helpful and welcoming. Rooms are good, chill and clean, with everything working fine. I would definitely recommend this place

Excellant location between airport and Venice. 1 Euro public bus 10 minutes from airport and 1 Euro public bus 15 minutes to Venice old city. Nice local merchants for food and small town atmosphere. Great breakfast room and common room. Make sure you get off bus in Favera as Mestre is really large and this is the name of the bus stop.

Directions a little confusing from Bus stop. Nice place to stay, close to the airport. Easy to get to after 1st try. Clean, quiet, nice reception. Would recommend and would return.

We stayed at Altieri Hotel on September 2009. The breakfast was good, easy access to buses to Venice (it took us 20 minutes to get there), free parking. Pizza bar nearby, safe sorroundings.We had a nice stay!

Excellent hotel. It's quite far to Venice but there is a good bus service. Room are spacious and clean, the only thing is that they have not TV. Breakfast is good. Parking and wi-fi are included in the price. I will come back to this hotel.

The hotel passed off my booking to the Hotel Holiday a few kilometers away. I was unhappy with this arrangement, and the location of this hotel was not what I wanted.

Just fine. Clean, convenient to the airport. We had an early flight, and the night staff fixed us coffee and gave us (packaged) pastries at 5:30 am. Accessible by bus (no. 4 and others) from Venice Pz. Roma. A bus to the airport (no. 15, if I recall) starts running about 5:40 am on weekdays. If you buy a daily or weekly bus/vaporetto pass for Venice, it works for these buses, too.

Great hotel, totally renovated. Specially recommended for those who come with a car (free parking!!!), buses just 2 min away, and just 25 min from Venice downtown.

The Hotel is great. Anyway, as all the accomadations are expensive in Italia, we can say that the relationship between price/quality is excellent for Altieri Hotel. It takes us 20 min by bus to reach Venezia bus station and the latest bus is around midnight to come back. The bus stop is around 100m near the Hotel. It costs 1.10euro each way. I recomand this Hotel especially if you have a car because the parking is free of charge. Of course, it's more fun to rent a place downtown but parking your car there is a real problem.

Zu empfehlendes Hotel in Favaro Veneto. Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bushaltestelle 50 m vom Hotel entfernt. Busfahrt nach Venedig dauert ca. 20 Minuten und kostet einfach Euro 1,20. Busfahrkarten sind an der Rezeption erhältlich. Freundliches Dreibettzimmer mit ganz neuem Bad. Sicherer Parkplatz hinter dem Hotel. Gutes kontinentales Frühstück. Wir würden jederzeit wieder das Hotel Altieri wählen.

Took taxi from airport since we arrived at night and raining. Charged us 16 euros since there was no traffic. Used bus 19 in front of hotel to get to central Venice and then the water bus. Breakfast was a full buffet and good.We used this hotel for only first night - should have used it for the whole time in Venice!

Get ripped off on transportation to airport which is only 5 miles away and if you leave early its 30euro(50$)

In posizione strategica per visitare Venezia e dintorni. Le camere sono essenziali ma pulite. Da segnalare il personale della reception (in particolare Alice) che è gentilissima, disponibile e competente oltre che una ottima guida turistica.

+++ super Lage des Hotels, Bushaltestelle nach Venezia direkt vor dem Haus, gute Verbindung (2x pro Std), sehr freundliches Personal, --- die Zimmer waren sehr hellhörig, am morgen war es unmöglich auszuschlafen trotzdem: kann es jedem weiterempfehlen !!!

The rooms are clean and spaciouss. Personal at reception desk is very kindly. She provides us complete information about Venice, timetable of buses going there and also the tickets! We think that Favaro Veneto is a good place to visit Venice. It is possible that I return there many times

We verbleven slechts 2 dagen in dit hotel maar alles was prima geregeld. De locatie is een prima basis voor een bezoek aan Venetie. Het personeel is bijzonder vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Volgende keer kiezen we zeker weer voor dit hotel.

The room was very nice and spacious. We enjoyed the balcony overlooking the street. Everyone was very helpful when we asked about bus routes to get around. The breakfast was great too. We loved the hot rolls!! The bus stop was right down the street so that was convenient. Overall I was really impressed with everything from the staff to the accomidations. I definately recomend it!

For the price we payed, this was the best service ever; The staff is excellent, English speaking, welcoming, always smiling and I sincerely reccomend this hotel.

Leider hat die Buchung nicht geklappt. Wir sind um 20 Uhr angekommen und kein Zimmer war frei. Wir haben aber innerhalb von 1 Stunde ein tolles Ersatzquatier zum selben Preis bekommen (Hotel DUCALE). Deshalb kann ich nur Hotel DUCALE bewerten! MFG J. Schön

We received a room on the cold side of the hotel. The Air Conditioning was on all the time, and you could not turn it off. We were freezing. The hotel staff in the beginning just responded bluntly: it is like it, we cannot help you. At the end and after a lot of complaining they changed us the room

We were displeased by the lack of the refrigerator in the room!!!!
