877-662-6988Decoration of all guest rooms of this fully air-conditioned hotel have been inspired by the pays mentonnais, and feature warmly colored camaïeux. Only noble materials has been used: beech tree furniture and marble and granite bathrooms give hotel accommodations a unique touch of elegance.
Riva hotel offers an outdoor terrace with panoramic view over the sea, equipped with hydro-massage bathtub, shower and solarium (available from May to September), deck chairs and beach umbrellas. A sauna and a lounge bar are also available.
Note: Hotel Riva is closed from 11 December 2011 to 20 December 2011.
The hotel will be closed between 27/10/12 and 14/01/13 for renovations and will resume operation once the renovation is complete. Completion dates are subject to change.

The location is 1.5km from downtown Menton, within walking distance. It's directly at sea, though you have to walk towards Menton a bit to get better beach access (sand/pebbles). Great choice of restaurants on the way to Menton. We were lucky to find an empty slot to park our car at the hotel building (avoiding the paid parking lot), though that may be unlikely during the high season. We've paid the extra to get a room with sea view - we can definitely recommend that, as the balcony views were gorgeous. Everything worked well in the room and the bathroom, incl. cost-free WiFi (after registration process). Some negatives - our welcoming at the reception was rather impatient and unpersonal, and there are long waiting times for the lift - there's only one cabin for the whole hotel, so we better used the stairs downwards. The street around is quite noisy in the night - you need to keep the outside doors tight, but the air conditioning worked very well.

We arrived a day late ,because we missed our flight. I sent an e-mail to hold our reservations, the Hotel clerk left me a message and held our room. Our stay was perfect when we go to France and drive down to Italy every year. we had a wonderful time. The staff was very helpful. Next year we will choose this hotel again. Last year we stood in Monte Carlo, at the Marriott. It wasn't as convinient as this hotel.

Was not made clear on web site that breakfast and local tax were not included in quoted price. Breakfast was €10 per person per night and local tax was €0.80 per person per night. Otherwise excellent.

The hotel is excellent located and the personnal is very polite. In general, it exceeded our expectations and if I would return to the French Riviera, I will definitely contact first this hotel for rezervation.

We had awounderful stay at this hotel,the staff were very helpful,they were so pleasant,the hotel was in a goodlocation just a short walk into down along the promanade,will certainly go back.
