Hotel Chambord - Menton

In the Bathromm there'isnt the "bidè". That's no good, but it's the only thing negative.

Very welcoming and efficient reception. Large room with good facilities and excellent sound proofing.. Hotel is very convenient for the sea front, and only 5/10 minutes walk from the old town.It was always pleasent to come back to especially during the very hot times of the day.

I and my wife just had known this hotel before. We reserve always it because it is very near to Casinò.

Our only issue was WiFi. This did not work at all on two separate devices over four nights and other guests had issues. Staff did not offer any solutions or attempt to rectify. No logon issues experienced anywhere else in Italy or France over previous four weeks. Very frustrated.

Next door to Tourist Info Office. 3 blocks to train station. 1 block to bus stop for Monaco / Nice. 1 block to casino, 2 blocks to beach. Lots of resturants around. Great value for location.

Very good location and convenient to travel both by train and car/airport limousine. Hotel staff is very friendly, and kindly helped me. But please don't ask something to young men......(because his information on tranportation was not correct. ) Better to ask old gentleman who knows well and helpful.(I am not sure if he is hotel manager or owner though.) I did not have a breakfast there and therfore cannnot evaluate on it.

The hotel was better than I expected. The room was sufficiently large and very quiet. Bathroom was in a very good shape. The only my complaint is the internet. WiFi was not working neither on my floor nor in the lobby (the internet fee I paied had to be refunded). I visited four hotels in Menton thus far. This one is second to (more expensive) Napoleon.

Decor is a bit 1970s but overall the room worked out fine for us. Everyone was very pleasant to deal with.

An excellent hotel in a great location.

The location is not very peacefull and when they offer a garden see room with an higher price than a normal room,they consider a room which faces the main street of Menton.....

This is a well situated hotel with good quality bedrooms, friendly staff. The exotic gardens outside the hotel were offered shade and were well maintained. There are good cafes and bars nearby.

The parking is not so spacious, but the hotel is a good choise to visit Monaco and Nice.

As the second stopover on a three day trip, my needs were not great. A good nights sleep, a shower, etc. I got the basics which I wanted. No food in the hotel itself (except breakfast in the room) and in Menton itself the strict French restaurant timetables did not match with my personal wishes - but that's not the hotels fault.

Our room was spacious but the hotel is old and the rooms never been restucturated. The price is too high for the quality of the rooms, i think it's expensive just for the near Casino. Very troubles for parking (the park of the hotel costs 10 euro a day). Bad corrispondence between the fotographs online and the rooms.
