The Pergola Club Hotel & Spa stands out in one of the many valleys of Mellieha, a large village located in the northwestern part of Malta. Both Mellieha and this club hotel are very popular tourist destinations during the summer months. The historic center of the town is only a few feet away and offers several opportunities to shop and dine.
Without a doubt this elegant 4-star resort is a favorite goal for those people who perfectly know that the price-quality ratio is an important key factor when it comes to choose their holiday destination. the rooms are very different one of the other, I had a dark small room without balcony, in a annexed building, very difficult to go to the hotel services. If you reserve ask for the rooms wiew to the swimming pools.

I travelled in many countries..and Pergola is not a 4 stars hotel. It's a 2 stars. Anyway, it's confortable and clean but not so close to Mellieha Bay (you do need the bus).. the breakfast of Pergola is a 1-star-breakfast (no fruit, no coffee: if you want a coffee, you have to pay for it). In the morning, they start to knock at the door at 9 to clean it, and they knock every 30 minutes.. Then, for dinner or lunch, don't stay at Pergola. Regarding the room, it's clean and quiet, the bathroom is ok.

Mellieha was quite disappointing: we had read it was a nice town with the original Maltese spirit still intact... In reality there is nothing to see and very little to do! The beach is 20 minutes walking away and it is NOT worth it at all!! (only one must-go place is the restaurant "The Arches": esquisite ambiance and food!) The Pergola Hotel was a good solution: we had a sun deck, 2 outdoor and one indoor pools + sauna and spa at our disposal for 40 euro/p.p./p.n. including breakfast. However, the room we were given was small, badly decorated, with no minibar and never cleaned properly in the morning!! Corridors were also often little clean and sometimes smelled badly. Public spaces were, on the other hand, ok. Breakfast is fantastic and front desk personnel very helpful (although we did not find Maltese to be particularly friendly!).

Hotel bello e confortevole, buon rapporto qualità prezzo, camere molto pulite. Solo due persone parlano italiano. In generale siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti!
