Great hotel. Rooms are fantastic, and they are located in the actual sassi. Front-desk staff was friendly. The breakfast was excellent. May be difficult to get to for older people or people with disablities, as there are stairs involved since it is right in the heart of the sassi district.

From BARI: from the highway "A14" take the exit "Bari Nord" and follow the State Road 96 for "Altamura" and then "Matera".
From NAPLES: take the highway for "Salerno Reggio Calabria", turn "Sicignano-Potenza" and follow the State Road 407 until the turn off for "Matera"

By train
Bari Station (60 Km) then FAL line bus or train.
Ferrandina Scalo Station (35 Km), then FAL line bus.

By airplane
The closest airport is Bari Palese (55km).

By public transportation
The MARINO bus services link Matera to:
Milan, Ancona, Bologna, Chianciano, Fiuggi, Naples, Novara, Parma, Reggio Emilia, Sassuolo and Urbino, as well as to many other foreign cities.
