Hotel San Domenico - Matera

The hotel is the centre and very close to the old centre, 10' walking.The breakast was very good. Thge room and the bathroom are very spacious.

Satisfactory for our needs: central, professional, clean.

Just near "Sassi" entrance of Vittorio Veneto Square. In the very center of the town but it has an own car park in its underground. Good and clear hotel.

Excellent accommodations in a perfect location near the main piazza and the sassi. Comfortable modern rooms, and a very nice breakfast buffet with the option to eat outdoors on a lovely patio.

This place was good value for money compared to some of the places we have stayed in Italy. It was comfortable and clean, location was good, breakfast was good. Unfortunately the staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful, the aircon didn't seem to work properly and most of the power sockets in the room were broken.

We loved Matera and enjoyed the hotel. The breakfast was the finest in Italy of all 4-star or 5-star hotels. The bread is the best in the world. However, we would have preferred dining facilities as previous reviews were exceptional when they offered this service. The surrounding area is GREAT!!! Wonderful cafes, trattorias, wine bars, shopping and the sassis were incredible. I recommend this hotel highly. We travelled for 2 months in Italy and loved Matera.

Excellent Hotel in a beautiful and magic City

Pity the wifi connection doesn't work in the rooms, but only in the hall. I had booked at San Domenico because the internet connection was offered, but I need to remark that there's no point at all at being able to connect only from the all. Totally fail.
