A very good place to stay in Matera. You can really taste the life in Matera from this hotel. Only one thing as a little issue: be aware of extra fees (such as breakfast, private parking, and so on).

How to reach Hotel Relais La Casa di Lucio

By car
From the Adriatic coast, take the Bologna-Taranto motorway until the Bari Nord exit. Follow signs to Altamura-Matera along the SS 99.

From the Tyrrhenian coast, take the 'Salerno - Reggio Calabria' motorway until the 'Sicignano degli Alburni' exit. Head for Potenza, and then Metaponto, on the SS 407 Basentana, until you find signs to Matera.
