We know Massa Marittima well, if we han't the Fenice would have been difficult to find. The big downside for us was the lack of a car park. I was not happy leaving my brand new car on the road. At least nothing untoward happened. When we arrived (Saturday lunchtime) we were not shown to the room , despite requests we had to work out for ourselves how the air conditioning system worked. This was dissapointing. However everything else was stunning.

How to reach Hotel La Fenice

By car
From Florence, proceed on the Florence - Siena road, following the Siena direction, and take the Colle Val D'Elsa exit. Then proceed on the S.S.441, direction Massa Marittima.
From Livorno, proceed on the A12. Then exit at Rosignano. Proceed on the Aurelia E80 road. Then exit at Follonica Est, following the Massa Marittima direction.
