Hotel Baia Di Puolo - Marina di Puolo, Massa Lubrense

GOOD: Nice and helpful staff, clean, very good location (on the beach, wiew to Napoli and Vesuvius), decent breakfast for Italy (even with ham and cheese). NOT SO GOOD: Can be very noisy, esp. at friday and saturday nights (open nightclub nearby!). Not practical for those without car; there is no stores, grocery or anything more than hotel and couple of "ristorante" in Marina di Puolo. Shuttle bus to Sorrento only three times a day and there is no evening service.

Single room was very small but Manager moved me to a double on my request & that was fine

If you try and locate this hotel on your own you may have some difficulty; i did. fortunately, the hotel provides a shuttle service from sorrento so it may be worth calling them on your arrival. the hotel sits almost right on the beach of the pretty marina di puolo which seems to trap the sun all day long. my room was cramped and a little shabby but for the price and excellent location i would highly recommend this hotel.

After having spent 4 days in Rome with sightseeing, we stayed at Hotel Baia di Puolo for relaxation. We went by train to Neaples and by Metro del Mare from Neaples to Sorrento. A taxi took us to the hotel – afterwards we found out that the hotel offers a free bus-shuttle service. The hotel is perfectly placed right on the beach. It is nice and clean. Our room (a familyroom) was comfortable, cool and had a wonderful sea view. In the night and in the morning you only hear the sound of the sea – so relaxing. Breakfast is served on the terrace with sea view – what a beginning of the day! In the evening you can get fresh fish and of course the traditional Italian pasta dishes and pizza in the restaurant, which has a wonderful sea view as well. A nice private beach, however a bit crowded – but I guess all beaches in this area are crowded. It is just great to relax on a sunbed so close to your room. You have the sun all day long on the beach – from sunrise to sunset. Enzo, the hotel manager is such a caring and wonderful person. And the staff offered excellent service. Unfortunately, my husband and I had to stay at the hospital in Sorrento for some days. Meanwhile our two teenage daughters stayed at the hotel, and the hotel manager and his staff took so good care of them. We were not nervous to let them stay there alone – it was very safe. We cannot thank the Baia di Puolo people enough. We had planned to stay in Baia di Puolo and explore Pompei and the Amalfi Coast from the seaside by Metro del Mare going to Positano, Amalfi, Capri etc., but we had to go back to Denmark 1 week earlier than planned. But we will definitely come back. We can warmly recommend Hotel Baia di Puolo. It is indeed a perfect basis for visiting the Neaple and the Amalfi coast. After having explored the area in the daytime it is nice and relaxing to go back to the hotel in the evening. You really get value for money at Hotel Baia di Puolo.

Albergo abbastanza carino considerato il contesto del borgo marinaro. Peccato per i prezzi esorbitanti della spiaggia che non è compresa nel soggiorno. Decente la colazione e la gentilezza soprattutto della receptionist del turno mattutino.

This is a really nice little hotel in a handy location for the attractions of Sorrento, The Bay of Naples, Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. It's not easy to get to without a car from Sorrento, but there is a free bus-shuttle service that is flexible and convenient, taking you to the centre of Sorrento in 10 minutes. In the evenings, you're more or less stuck in the Marina di Puolo, which is very small, but has four bars/restaurants. The Baia, connected to the hotel itself, is easily the best, particularly if you like sea-food, the hotel serving the best catch of the day fresh from the bay. The hotel is lovely, the rooms cool, clean and bright, many with balconies giving a gorgeous view over the bay where Vesuvius dominates. In terms of value for money, the price is hard to beat. While you are in the area, Pompeii is a must-see and the road to Amalfi is breathtaking.

We were the only visitors to this hotel for the two nights that we stayed. We used it as a base for exploring the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii, for which it served its purpose well. Because it was at the start of spring, the bay had not really been given its spring clean. Similarly there was not much happening in the bay, which would probably change in Summer. We had a car which meant that we were not isolated, but it would have been very difficult without the car. Parking was about 100m away next to the night watchman's cabin. First night we were cold, which was addressed the second night. Showers were hot, the beds comfortable and the room clean. The included continental breakfast was plenty for us. The hotel staff were welcoming and very friendly.

The hotel was a bit out of the way and was hard to find the first day, however where the hotel was was perfect. Very good for someone wanting to have a quiet and peaceful holiday. hope to go back there again

Excellent welcoming, efficient employees and management. Very clean. Some noise due to clients. Nice location and beautifull view on the bay and Capri and Vesuvio. Easy parking. Recommanded
