Although the hotel surronding and the location is very good, I will strongly reccommend that if you will stay 1 night they can give you a room of which view is wall. We stayed a very good room but the view of our room was only wall, and no sun light in the room. When we asked about changing our room, they said there are no rooms available and we are lucky, because there will be no noise. They were right there was no noise because we could not see anything from windows. And also the elevator is on the 1st floor and we carried our baggages to 1st floor by ourselves. Like I said hotel is good but be careful to notice your room view when you make your reservation.

The location is perfect, just behind the Vieux Port and next to the rue st. Fereol. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is quite small but modern. Perfect for a reasonable priced hotel at the city center. 2 less favourable remarks: our room was on the 4th floor and the elevator, which starts only on the first floor is tiny so I would'nt recommend it for guests who have difficulty climbing stairs. Our room had one window overlooking an inner tiny court i.e. no view at all. Every thing else was just perfect. I will certainly return to this hotel.

Excellent position, the best possible in the city i think, great welcome and kind and friendly people. Great service!. New and comfortable rooms and bed, geat plasma, and we have also appreciated the coffe and tea set in the room. Just No frigo-bar in the room, and the towels in the Bathroom are quite small. As French standard, No bidet in the bathroom. But we definitely suggest the hotel as a very good place to stay.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on our honeymoon. The hotel staff were very helpful and the hotel was in a fantastic location within walking distance of the harbour. The rooms were very clean and recently renovated. We stayed in room 511, which was very quiet as it wasn't facing the street. I would say this room was great value for the money that you pay.

Great hotel in the heart of the old port. Easy to get to restaurants etc. Only stayed the night to be near airport and was going to use taxi then shuttle bus from station but a helpful taxi driver took us to airport for same price as the two combined prices. For 3 of us ( with large suitcases)it worked out well.

This had the smallest bathroom we have ever seen but it was functional. Room also very small but the hotel was in a great location with relation to the port and all its attractions.Very helpful information centre just around the corner. A fair walk to the train station but we did it twice! Breakfast expensive- coffee shops nearby.

A nice hotel in the heart of the old city. It gives good opportunities for walking routes, taking a boat to the Calanques of Casis and other scenery places. Near by there are a few good fish restaurants and the personnel of the hotel will give you enough guidance to find them. The guys and girls there were very friendly, speaking lots of languages, which is quite useful for international travelers. The hotel is 100 meters away from the metro station. The GPS (TomTom) found the hotel immediately. Down sides: (1) There is no parking lot owned by the hotel, but there are several public underground parkings (Vinci parks), which are not very expensive and are safe. However, if you do not want to carry your bags from the parking to the hotel (5 min walk) you will have to stop on the street and quickly drop your stuff at the hotel as there is no place to park stop in front of the door. (2) It is an old building and the elevator was added later, which did not allow it to go to the reception floor. You must climb a few stairs to reach it, but personnel recognizes that and is helpful with the baggage. (3) The rooms on the side of the street are very noisy until late in the night if you keep the window open. If it closed, then you do not have a problem as soon as the central airco is already switched on. (was not in early May) We recommend this hotel for a short stay with the idea of discovering the city.

The hotel is not easy to find. The entrance to the street looks like a footpath, not a road! If you miss it there are lots of one way streets and it is hard to get back to where you want to be! The hotel though was fantastic, in a great location and we had a lovely stay.

Excellent location for the best part of Marseille. Only downside was that there was a flight of stairs to climb before you reached the lift, a bit of a problem carrying cases.

The location is excellent. Its right in the centre of the Old Port area, and the metro station is next to the hotel. We found the staff very helpful. The rooms were a little on the older side, but reasonably well maintained. Despite the central location there was no street noise although from our room it was possible to hear the elevator.

This is one of the best budget hotels I have stayed at so far. The hotel has several strengths - extremely well located (just a minute of walk from the metro station) in a great area of Marseille; friendly and English-speaking staff is helpful; and the room is very clean and quiet, which is something I always look for. This is definitely a hotel I would stay at the next time I visit Marseille!

The staff was very friendly, and many of them spoke English. The common areas were nicely maintained. Our hotel room was small, even for French hotel standards. The carpet was stained and dirty, as were the walls. We discovered after showering that the stains were from the shower pipes leaking under the bathroom tiles into the bedroom carpeting and extending almost into the hall. Hotel staff did not seem alarmed at this, or inclined to fix it in the near future. There was also no shower door or curtain, so the bathroom was always unpleasantly wet. Also, you should be made aware that the a/c temp is controlled by the hotel, and that it is turned off from 10am to 4pm. If you ask, they will turn it back on for you if you are in the room at that time. The hotel is in an area convenient to the port, nice restaurants, and tourist services. A good area, but I probably wouldn't risk another stay there after getting that particular room.
