Poor relationship between price/quality. Hotel needs renovation works. Bad smell everywhere, specially in bedroom, old smelly carpeting, no cupboard at all, not even a place for emptying dressing case. Had to put everything on the floor. Hardly any place to move. Air-conditioning system 30 years of age. Only one light in bathroom working. From bedroom window: noise + no view except of air-conditioning tubes and dark walls. Narrow staircase from ground level to level1 (no lift - hardly any room to climb up with our *small* bags). MUCH TOO EXPENSIVE COMPARED TO NEIGBOURHOOD HOTELS. PERFECT LOCATION AND NICE RECEPTION STAFF THOUGH. SHOULD EITHER REVIEW PRICES OR DEMOLISH AND BUILD NEW. . HEARD ON LEAVING THE HOTEL THAT BREAKFAST WAS INCLUDED. We took our 2 breakfasts on the port !! Don't even regret because of the view - not a single window in breakfast room. NOT TO BE RECOMMENDED UNLESS THEY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Overall stay was good. The room was not large, but sufficient for a 1-night stay. wifi is fast. The bathroom floor was not clean, this is the only significant disadvantage

Amazing front desk Laurent. Extremely kind and helpful. He gave us hints, directions, map and all we needed. Breakfast could be better, it´s just a couple of jars with milk, hot water and coffee, nutella and some bread. As most of the hotels the should include at least cold cuts.

The location of the Hotel is very good, since it is close to the Metro-station as well as to the Vieux Port in the inner part of the town. However, the room they offered for three persons was very narrow, moreover no three sparate beds are provided: only a single and a double beds. Thus, with my sister we had to sleep in a common bed, which was not convenient at all.

Upon arrival at the hotel reception staff was friendly and polite little, it is very uncomfortable for the top pack a ladder to get to the reception, then the elevator only fits one person, I was uncomfortable and was travelling with two children three years and another two years. I believe that this hotel does not provide good service if you are travelling with children, perhaps a couple without children is something more comfortable.

I had a great little stay at the hotel. The location is fantastic, right in the centre of town, and very easy to get to from the station. The room was clean and neatly arranged. The staff were helpful and always ready to offer advice on what to see and do, and they all spoke English. The WiFi is free as is access to the client's computer in the reception. For anyone in Marseille for the first time, don't miss the church on the hill (Notre Dame), the Palais du Pharo or the old town (le panier).... it's all accessible on foot and it makes for a fantastic day's activities.

The hotel was satisfactory in most ways but the room (triple - no. 303) was FAR too small and claustrophobic for 3 people. It would have been rather small even for 2!

Very central location, right by the old port, but a bit too handy for the hookers. Fourth floor room clean and newly-decorated but VERY SMALL and why no bracket for the shower head?? Bed comfortable. No safe in room. Didn't try breakfast but lots of good cafes nearby. Might stay here again in the unlikely event of returning to Marseille.

We are a married couple aged 50+. We stayed for 5 nights. All employees except for one, a girl with dark hair, were very competent and nice. The girl with the dark hair was more interested in the computer than us, also during our breakfast... Could she smile, at all? The location of the hotel was superb! Nice price!

The location for this hotel is excellent, literally a block off of the main port/centre. The rooms are clean for the most part although slightly cramped. The shower didn't have a shower curtain and the beds were really soft. The AC worked fine however and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was 6 euros which seemed overpriced so we didn't try it. The hotel offers free internet which is a nice bonus, but overall felt like it was a little overpriced.

This was the first time for us at this Hotel. We arrived about 10 p.m. and despite the written policy our credit card was already charged. The staff is polite and well trained. The rooms are ordinary cleaned, although are not spacious. The hotel meet our standard.

The only inconvenience during my weekend stay was music heard at night from the nearby bar.The rest of property's facilities were perfect.Marseille is being built now so you will not be able to take a picture of La Canebiere - the main street. For me two days were enough to visit the city - I am not a museum fan so usually I enjoy walking through the streets and just being. If you need any information go to Office de Tourisme, its fantastic staff will help you.If you are in Marseille do not forget to visit Aix en Provence and Cassis - two beautiful places in the neighbourhood...Good luck !

Fantastic value for money and great location (only one street away from the harbour which has plenty of restaurants and bars to while away the hours). Room was not huge but was more than adequate and very clean. Rooms are air conditioned but it was 38' during our stay so it did struggle a bit! The staff were very helpful. Beware of car park prices as we paid 15 euros for 24 hour parking only to find another underground car park closer to the harbour/hotel for only 8 euros!! We would definately stay at the Europe again without any hesitation.

We are very content, it is very good value, everything was fine, the staff very nice, the location gorgeous. The room is small and we could not get a baby bed. We needed 1 night in Marseille because the next day we had an early flight. It was perfect, the underground station in just 2 minutes away and in 5 minutes you are in Gare St.Charles.

The room given to us was very small as mentioned by the boss that it's not the best as we didn't turn up on the 1st night, thus he wasn't sure if we would come on the 2nd night. Nevertheless, it has all the necessary facilities. Location of hotel is good, near the metro station and the port.
