Hotel Fuerte Marbella - Marbella

Really nice room - we were upgraded to partial ocean view. Spacious. Beautiful facilities, great breakfast. Bar and restaurants somewhat expensive. The bar featured entertainment. My only negative is that the are few restaurants to walk to in the vicinity, so unless you drive or take other transportation, you're stuck with eating at the hotel.

This hotel is not worth the money you pay. You can easily rent an appartment near this hotel and not pay outrageous prices. Do not pay the extra money for the breakfast and dinner buffet. You can easily find very high quality food at nearby restaurants.

We really enjoyed out stay at Hotel Fuerte Marbella, location is very central. Very friendly staff and great breakfast.

This was the 3rd time my wife and I have stayed for a week. This time our daughter and husband and our son and wife joined us for the week-end and we all agreed it delivers on quality and service and value for money.I celebrated my birthday during our stay and the management very kindly gave me champagne and a golf hat. Great hotel, we'll be back again.

Hotel staff were excellent, very helpful and kind especially sonia who went out of her way to make my birthday stay very memorable the room was spacious with a side sea view and beds were comfortable and clean. sonia recommended a lovely restaurant called zo zoi food was excellent. tapas in the orange square was lovely and quaint and the casino at night was well worth the visit. the hotel is right on the beach with a lovely promenade in front were you can walk all the way to puerto banus if you feel energetic. spa facilities were fantastic relaxing and very resonable well worth a visit. a GREAT hotel.....THANKS

I stayed in a room with seaview,marvellous!! A real class hotel.nice indoor swimming-pool Lunch on the beach very well taken care of the nice white table -cloth,and the lovely food.The staff is exellent

This is a wonderful hotel, with a lovely pool area and easy beach access. It is very near the old town and many restaurants, and well away from all the condo and shopping center developments. The public areas are spacious and very attractive, and the breakfast is excellent. Highly recommended.

This was our first trip to Marbella as part of an Andalusia Tour. We stayed three nights in the Fuerta Marbella. Apart from the good service we are very positive about the location. Direct at a quiet section of the sea-side boulevard and only a five minutes walk from the old city center. We had a great stay.

This was my first visit to Marbella so I didn't know the surroundings. I chose the El Feutre because it said that it was close to everything. It was one of the nicest hotels and central to restuarants beaches and night life.On the first night I arrived late at night so went straight to bed. The room they had given me was at the back of the hotel, and as I discovered in the morning by some rubbish bins, I complained and was moved to a front room,which was perfect. If you are looking for a central hotel that is by the sea this is the place to stay.

A fantastic hotel with fantastic staff. Nothing was too much for any of them and the service was EXCELLENT. A rare gem of a Hotel and we will definitely be going back there.

It was wonderful. The reception desk friendly, be healed on the beach, breakfasted wonderful, very good day was able to be spent. It is a location that near the town, and is very good. We can recommend it to everybody.

Room and especially bathroom where not very clean.

Good Traditional Spanish Hotel. we stayed BB which was good value. breakfast good selection of hot and cold food. Room was overlooking sea as requested, reasonably good size. bathroom fine with good powerful shower. Will stay there again. Good location for Old Town and beach.

Hotel El Fuerte, is in a great location and I would recommend it for more mature couples looking for a relaxed type of holiday. A must is a visit to La Venecia de los Olivos a superb tapas bar - always busy - but worth the wait - full of locals - always a good sign.

Well located near Marbella town centre and all shops/restaurants. Also a short walk to Old Marbella. Hotel staff were all excellent. Only had breakfast where the choice was limited enough (understandable for February) but the restaurant staff were very friendly. Cannot criticise any aspect, excellent value, and would definitely recommend for visitors to Marbella.

Our first stay in Marbella. The employees made sure that we enjoyed it and enjoyed our efforts to speak Spanish. We saw flamenco at the hotel and the food and drink were excellent. There was plenty of shade on a hot day. There was a good mix of ages and nationalities. We loved it.

El Fuerte in Marbella is very well located relative to the beach and the shopping/restaurant area in the town. The hotel provided excellent service with good entertainment in the evening. The breakfasts on the terrace were provided very good food and a pleasant atmosphere.. Altogher a very enjoyable stay. Roger Marshallsay

'Competence of employees' was a generalisation because some were very efficient (eg restaurant staff) and some not courteous at all.

Given that it rained for four days out of five, it was important that the hotel had enough facilities to entertain and feed us. Although the bar food was dull and disappointing, everything else was first class. The location, between sea and old town, was particularly good.
