Hotel Atalaya Park - Marbella

Good hotel facilities. BUT the rooms need updating and modernizing. They are spacious, but old fashioned. The Buffet breakfast is excellent. The indoor pool, hamma & sauna is very good - shame they don't have a Jacuzzi! Outdoors is HUGE pool & beah (stony though). Pitch & putt, tennis courts, basket ball. Great for KIDS. Golf close by.

Difficult to find the right turn from the main road. Good hotel for family vacation. Big and good reustarant. the beach is very stony.

We stayed for just one night en-route elsewhere and it was clearly out of season (by about 2 weeks). There was no sign of the sailing, windsurfing or mountain biking that had been promised but the upside was that it was very quiet, with little competition for either the fantastic pools or the dining room. The one dining room - the other restaurants weren't open. There was a good selection of food - quality was acceptable but with a buffet arrangement keeping the food at its best is difficult. Drinks in the bars were very expensive - if you expect to drink a fair bit, go for the all-inclusive option! The location is great, right next to the sea, but the beach.......is barely a brach - just stones and a few small patches of coarse, grey sand so don't expect to lie on golden sand but there are loungers and lying on these as the sun goes down is a good way to see the last of the daylight. Our experience shouldn't put people off but if you want all the activities, go in peak season.

Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.
