Gran Hotel Guadalpin Banus - Marbella

In the room you could hear people talking along the corridors - this is the only negative thing about this hotel. The staff were fantastic. This hotel is a short 5 mins taxi ride into the marina.

Unhappy with Venere. Advised by hotel that we should have booked direct and avoided booking errors. Suites were superb, but you need to request large terrace area as half of the rooms have fire escapes halving their terrace area. Double rooms are tiny - The smallest I have ever seen in a modern hotel. Don't be misled, if you want a roof top suite with jacuzzi, you need to book a deluxe suite which is not the same as a superior suite! Nice touch with the fresh fruit and chilled face towells served regularly around the pool.

Problem was with Venere. We notified you of a name change 2 weeks before and even now you have not amended the booking. Our request for 2 bookings to be linked was not passed on to the hotel, hence our rooms were on opposite sides of the building and on different floors.This meant that we were not able to take advantage of interconnecting our double room and suite which would have doubled our terrace area. We paid for a superior junior suite which was misrepresented and therefore did not get the room we thought we had booked. I have emailed a complaint to Venere and you have not even bothered to reply. Hotel was wonderful. Pool staf were useless. Rooms were fantastic. Great trip but no thanks to Venere.
