El Faro Inn - Marbella

Hotel was well situated and the staff was great. The rooms were old and the view out the window was not stimulating.

First class hotel and staff, would definitely stay again, ideal base for marbella area

Well located hotel for short break in Marbella area . Good proximity to old town and a free car park just north of chapel which is quite near hotel .Staff were reassuring about safety of car there .

Rooms would need to be freshened, a little bit old, but still fine though. Swimming pool is clean and nice Staff is welcoming and charming, always ready to help Breakfast not too good (and have to be taken in an inside close room) but not that important, is it? Great thing is the kitchen and balcony (wit sea view), that was perfect with a 2-y old child for having dinner outside while he was sleeping. 10 min walk from casco antiguo, 3 min walk from the beach and sea promenade, from the central park, 5 min walk from a big supermarket, all facilities around, very central.

Parking is a disaster in this area and some assistance with parking would have been a good complement to their service. The breakfast is too standardized and some more choises would have been appreciated. Price is excellent for such a central position.

Nice hotel, friendly staff in a great location. Just a few minutes walk to the beach or old town. Also plenty of bars in the surrounding streets. Smallish hotel, away from the hotel holiday complex's. Stayed for a really cheap rate. Breakfast not great but was included in the price. Recommend to stay if you want somewhere a little quieter in a more traditional area of Marbella.

Reception staff were relly nice, friendly and helpful. And the location of the hotel is great. The only problem is its really noisy. And I don't mean noise from outside the hotel, its from inside. Because all th corridors and floors are marble, every noise is amplified,there was doors slamming, men singing in the shower, I could hear everything! Hotel needs sound proofing somehow, then it would be fine. But for the money paid, it was still a good deal.

The web pictures showing the parc side of the hotel is far from what it looks like in terms of a green space with trees. One overlooks what could be an abandoned ground construction site. But at least the so-called 'parc' side was quieter compared to the street side. The rooms and linen were generally clean. However, the furniture was fairly used and partly damaged; some replacement would not hurt. The kitchenette was functional for making breakfast. However, the room was lacking a small dining table to permit sitting down for breakfast. Reception staff were generally friendly and helpful. The location is excellent and just few steps from the Paseo Maritimo, parcs, close to the old town, groceries, and of course, bar a tapas. Considering the price per overnight, we were satisfied.

Lack of parking a pain. Concierge/reception man was very good.

This hotel was walking distance to the sea and to the old town. Banks and supermarkets are close by. The room had an efficiency kitchen that was adequate for our purposes. The nearby restaurants and tapas bars were perfect for us.

Upon arrival (Aug, 07), staff was extremely helpful. Hotel decor was nice, clean. air-conditioned room. Hotel was within close proximity of beaches, a small market, restaurants and local bus service. We recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Great location, good deal for the money. Only drawback is the back of the hotel has a view of a big dusty soccer field. Breakfast included is fine too.

Good price and quality

The breakfast was poor and awful. Everything tasted synthetic. "Juice" undrinkable. Even the bread was dull, butter was warm.

No car parking in hotel, street car parking very limited, public car park 5 mins - charged per hour, up to 24hrs for € 15.00.

Rooms at the front of the hotel are very noisey with general traffic on the road outside plus the constant whining of the pizza delivery bikes racing up the hill

One problem: the pool was not available at all: it was still "under construction" ! Not very pleasant when the temperature is above 35°C... Furthermore: perfect location, next to the beach and the old towncenter.
